Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough – Chapter 119

119 Messenger of the Azure Sky Kingdom

Chapter 119: Messenger of the Azure Sky Kingdom

” Y-your Majesty! The plague that spread through the Heavenly Sky Kingdom over the last few months, have appeared in the border regions of the country!” Kneeling down, the messenger fearful conveyed what he was ordered to by his superiors. No matter what happened, he did not dare to look up at the person sitting on the throne in front of him.

“And? This is most likely just someone trying to fish in the muddy waters. No need to pay any attention to it for now, just continue to focus on the Heavenly Sky Kingdom…

Convey this to my generals; I would like for you to stop playing around at the borders and just get it over with. The Heavenly Sky Kingdom won’t send any of their strong experts and will at most send a few people in the early stages of the Nascent Soul Realm… If you still struggle, just use those Nascent Soul Experts from the sects as the frontline to launch an attack… Now go.” The man on the throne said with an emotionless voice completely ignoring the person kneeling down in front of him after quickly waving him away.

“Y-yes your majesty…” Not daring to say anything to the person on the throne, even if it meant that the message, he carried would cause friction between the Royal family of the Azure Sky Kingdom and the Sect’s of the Azure Sky Kingdom!

“Ah, wait…” Just as the messenger was about to leave the throne room, the emotionless voice from earlier sounded out once again.

The messenger to froze in place the moment he heard the emotionless voice and felt like his poor life might end at any moment, constantly thinking back to his earlier short conversation, wondering where he had messed up.

“Deliver this to the current person in command at the border when you arrive.” Throwing out a small jade with a few engravings on it, the emotionless person on the throne finally seemed to have run out of things to say as the messenger almost ran out of the throne room like a Domain Lord demon beast was chasing after him.

Upon leaving the throne room, the messenger came to a stop in a small room inside the palace that he was currently located at, there, his subordinates were patiently waiting for him with an anxious look plastered all over their faces.

“Leader, how did it go? Any solution to the plague problem from his majesty?” One of the subordinates stepped forward and asked nervously in a slightly hopeful tone.

The messenger who was the leader of the group could not help but sigh a bit to himself as he looked at the subordinate that asked this, his entire family was located at the border region where the plague outbreak happened!

Even though he could move them to the capital now, it would most likely be too late as the village where his family lived most likely already got infected.

Let alone getting to the capital, they would be barred entry from the central region of the Azure Sky Kingdom, so as to ensure that the plague would not start to suddenly spread there.

“His majesty is still undecided on how to deal with the current plague outbreak and is contemplating about how to deal with it properly, for now our job will be to deliver a message to the commander and generals at the border…” Not wanting to destroy his subordinates hopes, the messenger bit down on his lips as he lied in an attempt to make sure his subordinate did not do anything stupid upon learning the fact that his majesty simply didn’t care about the people located at the border region and chose to ignore them as the war with the Heavenly Sky Kingdom was clearly more important in his eyes.

“I see… Dealing with the recent plague outbreak is definitely not something that can be decided on so lightly, I’m sure his majesty has some idea on how to deal with it…” Letting out the breath that he had unknowingly been holding, the subordinate looked a little more relived upon hearing what his leader said.

The other subordinates were the same, as their family were mostly still located outside the central region of the Azure Sky Kingdom, with only a few having moved their families to the central region.

Following what their leader said, all of them started chatting with each other about their family situation, causing the leaders face to turn a bit ugly, as guilt started to slowly seep its way into his eyes.

“Enough chatting, let’s get going immediately, we have to deliver the message given by his majesty to the commander at the border as quickly as possible!” The messenger felt a little bad when he saw his subordinates relived expressions, but quickly remembered his mission.

“” Yes, Leader!”” The subordinates quickly answered as each of them saluted the messenger before making their way out of the palace together and heading in the direction of the border.

As the messenger and his group of subordinates made their way towards the Azure Sky Kingdom’s border with the Heavenly Sky Kingdom. The Heavenly Sky Kingdoms defences at the border were finally seeing a turn for the better, as Wang Hu had arrived to assist his brother and the Seven Fates Sect had sent over an additional 5 Nascent Soul Realm Experts to help defend the border region.

Other than that, the Heavenly Sky Kingdom’s Royal family also sent over a 5 Nascent Soul Realm Experts to match the Seven Fates Sect.

Even with that said, the Nascent Soul Realm Experts sent over by both the Seven Fates Sect and the Royal family were only first stage Nascent Soul Realm Experts, some of them even had extremely unstable auras as it could clearly be seen that they had somehow forced their way into the Nascent Soul Realm by second-hand means…

Wang Hu and the rest of the Nascent Soul Realm Experts at the border were a little speechless when they saw this line-up of “experts” from both Seven Fates and the Royal family.

They were clearly a group of elderly people who had just broken through to the Nascent Soul Realm for the increase in lifespan and would forever be stuck at the first stage of the Nascent Soul Realm. Just a single normal second or maybe even first stage Nascent Soul Realm Expert alone would be more than enough to deal with this group of elderly “experts”!

Was this the Seven Fates Sect and the Royal family competing in who could waste the most resources to help take care of the elderly generation when they retired…?

Grown more confident in writing things like this from a perspective outside the mc and few people close to him, feels it is important so as to build more on the world and not just have people appear out of the blue all the time…
