Chapter 13: End of the Day
Xuan Hao spent the next 2 hours slowly adapting to his new strength. The time passed quietly, and Qing Yi had already returned and occupied the room Xuan Hao allocated to her earlier.
By now, the sun was slowly setting.
Xuan Hao ignored this and instead entered his sea of consciousness to check out if he had gotten a new side quest from the system after completing the first one.
Name: Xuan Hao
Talent: ???
Realm: Nascent Soul Stage 2
Sect: Flying Sword Sect
Disciples: Qing Yi
Main Quest: Any disciple reaches the foundation establishment realm.
Main Quest Reward: ???
Side Quest: Have a disciple with talent value of 50 or above.
Quest Reward: [Cultivation Increase of 3 small realms]
Indeed, a new side quest had appeared and this one was even harder than the one before. Talent value of 50!
Even Qing Yi, who had a dormant divine physique would only have a talent value of 37 after her awakening! Finding someone with a talent value at 50 or above? Wouldn’t that mean that they had better talent than someone with a divine physique?
Xuan Hao already felt his head hurt slightly upon thinking about how troublesome finding such a talented disciple would be.
For now, having a single disciple should be more than enough. When she reaches the Foundation Establishment Realm, he would be able to complete the main quest. The rewards from the main quest were still hidden, but Xuan Hao had a feeling that the rewards from it would be better than that of a side quest.
Someone in the Nascent Soul Realm could live up to 2000 years of age. Xuan Hao was still only 21 years old, so for now, he decided to just take things slowly and cultivate quietly in the Flying Sword Sect.
The first thing he needed to do was find the Infernal Heart Grass for his new disciple so she could awaken her divine physique.
Qing Yi was sitting quietly in her new room as she thought about what had happened earlier when she returned to where her family was waiting for her.
The first thing that happened was the First Elder of the Qing family excitedly asking her about her new master and if she knew why he had chosen her as his disciple.
Qing Yi simply told him that she had no idea why Xuan Hao had chosen her as his disciple and quickly managed to avert the topic. She knew that her having a divine physique was an amazing feat and she was extremely excited and happy the moment that her master had told her about her divine physique.
If not for her masters warning, the first thing she would have done was tell the First Elder about it, but as her master had said. Having a divine physique was dangerous if you were not strong enough, people easily grew envious of what they could not have.
Qing Yi had taken the words of her new master to heart and decided to hide her divine physique from her family until she was strong enough to protect herself.
She still remembered a story about someone from the Seven Fates Sect having a divine physique. He was discovered to have a Celestial Fate Divine Body when he was still at the Qi Condensation Realm.
Later, the member of the Seven Fates Sect had died just after reaching the Core Formation Realm at the age of 19. Nobody knew why and the Seven Fates Sect had tried to hunt down the perpetrator, but never succeeded.
Seven Fates Sect! The overlord of the west of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom! The sect was even more powerful than the Flying Sword Sect but had still failed to protect the one with the divine physique.
Qing Yi shuddered slightly when she thought about the sad end of the one who had the Celestial Fate Divine Body.
Her master did indeed have good foresight!
“But… What should I do about the Black Rose Sect and the Bai family…?”
A troubled look appeared on her face when she thought about what the first elder had mentioned before she went back to her master’s pavilion.
Half a year from now, the Bright Sun City younger generation tournament would happen once again.
Bai Fei, who had been accepted by an elder of the Black Rose Sect would return by then and his master would follow him back, at that point the Qing family would be doomed.
But with Qing Yi’s new master, this should not be a problem at all, after all, Qing Yi’s master was a Nascent Soul expert!
“In the end… How can I ask my master to help out…?”
If her master did not show up at the younger generation tournament, the members of the Bai family would most likely not believe that Qing Yi got taken in as a disciple of a Nascent Soul expert.
Someone who is only at the fourth stage of Qi Condensation at the age of 15 would be taken as a disciple of a Nascent Soul expert. Are you sure you are not bluffing?
Qing Yi could already imagine how the Bai family would react… Why not just let Bai Cheng inform them about it?
Qing Yi really doubted whether he would mention it or not. The most likely thing to happen was him ignoring it and not saying anything to the Bai family about Qing yi becoming the disciple of a Nascent Soul expert.
“All of that can wait for now, I still have half a year to convince master to come with me to the tournament. I should just focus on getting stronger under master! If he sees how hard I work, he will definitely not mind following me back to my family for a trip!”
With those encouraging words, Qing Yi laid down on the bed that she had prepared earlier and slowly drifted off to sleep.
Even though it was not that late yet, the entire day had been extremely exhausting for her.
From the second test where she had to fight against demon beasts for several hours with little rest to being accepted as a disciple of Xuan Hao and moving into the pavilion. The entire day had been exhausting for Qing Yi as she could finally comfortably sleep the built-up exhaustion away.
