Chapter 1309: Looking for new Combat Techniques
Putting aside the matter of how long it would take him to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm in the future, Xuan Hao put away the scroll with information on the Dao Domain Lord Realm. Placing it inside his interspatial ring so he could hand it over to the sect for storage in the future.
After all, the scroll would still be useful for the Star Shattering Sect in the future when they began seeing Dao Domain Lord Realm cultivators appearing.
Although it was a bit too early to think about it now that the strongest elders of the sect had only reached the Domain Lord Realm and was still far away from the Dao Domain Lord Realm that could only be reached after they were at least at the peak of the Domain Lord Realm, it didn’t hurt to have the information available.
At the very least, they wouldn’t end up making a similar mistake as the one he had made when breaking through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm and would be able to make a choice on what path they wanted to follow after they reached the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm.
Be it following one of the two paths of the Dao Domain Lord Realm or just going along the easier path of breaking through to the Soul Ascension Realm and progressing normally through the Dao Seed Realm and later aim for the Profound Immortal Realm or Celestial Immortal Realm.
No matter what the rest of the sect’s elders and disciples ended up choosing when it was time, Xuan Hao wanted to at least give them the information on the different paths that they could choose between so they could find the one that was best suitable for them to follow.
After all, it was not everyone who would be able to enter the Dao Domain Lord Realm and, in the future, it would not be everyone who would be able to reach the Profound Immortal Realm even if they knew about it.
Even in the ancient past, it was clear that there were still people who chose the Celestial Immortal Realm. Meaning that although those at the Celestial Immortal Realm were weaker than those in the Profound Immortal Realm, it should still be a viable path.
Not to mention, a Celestial Immortal was already a very strong existence with a long lifespan, and it was not everyone who would be able to reach such a high cultivation realm.
Even if there were some problems with the Celestial Immortal Realm and its future prospects, it wasn’t something for him to worry about for now considering that the strongest member of the Star Shattering Sect, Pei Yang, was still only at the Early Stage of the Dao Seed Realm. Still far away from even thinking about breaking through to the Celestial Immortal Realm, let alone going beyond it…
“For now, I should just try and find a few combat techniques. Thinking about the future of those in the Celestial Immortal Realm is far too off in the future for now.” Muttering this to himself as he shook his head and threw the matter of the future of those who broke through to the Celestial Immortal Realm and their future prospects to the back of his mind, Xuan Hao turned to look up at the preservation golem that had been silently standing beside him as he read through the scroll on the Dao Domain Lord Realm.
“Can you help me find any movement technique not related to the Dao of Space? Preferably below the price of 20 celestial coins.”
“Yes, the movement technique section on the second floor of the tower falls within your requirements. Follow me and I will guide you there.” Nodding its head after it heard what Xuan Hao said, the preservation golem began to move towards another part of the second floor of the tower of secrets.
Not one to fall behind, Xuan Hao got up from his chair and began following after the preservation golem as it made its way deeper into the second floor of the tower of secrets. Soon arriving at a smaller section where the preservation golem came to a stop and motioned for him to take a look around.
Compared to before he had spent his 8 celestial coins on the Dao Domain Lord Realm scroll, it seemed far more respectful in its mannerism for some reason…
“Dancing Steps of the Wind Spirit, 8 celestial coins… Nine Steps of the Netherworld God, 15 celestial coins… Dragons Grace, 4 celestial coins… So many different movement techniques…” Not bothering to think too much about it, Xuan Hao instead began to look through the introductions of the few nearby scrolls and books.
Not taking long to find a few that stood out from the rest of the movement techniques.
First up was the Nine Steps of the Netherworld God, a movement technique that mixed the Dao of Darkness and the Dao of Illusions together to create a ghostly movement technique that made it hard for others to discern the true location of the user when moving. Although lacking in speed, it was an extremely potent combat-oriented movement technique that would be useful even after the Profound Immortal Realm if one continued comprehending the related Daos.
Second was the Seven Godly Steps, a movement technique that didn’t involve any specific dao and relied on the physical strength of the body. Although not the showiest among the movement techniques, it was still impressive and would allow an easy way to improve one’s speed without the need to comprehend a new dao.
Of course, the minimum requirement on the strength of the physical body was still not something that was easy to achieve under normal circumstances and Xuan Hao only managed to barely fulfill the requirement according to the brief introduction.
If he wanted to continue practicing the Seven Godly Steps in the future, he would most likely also have to pick up a corresponding body cultivation technique to ensure that the strength of his body became strong enough to practice the higher levels of the Seven Godly Steps.
Third was the movement technique that he thought looked the most promising among them called Light Comet, a far more advanced movement technique compared to the Seven Godly Steps, it allowed the user to turn into a ball of light as they moved at terrifyingly fast speed. Considered the fastest movement technique below anything related to the Dao of Space, as it involved the Dao of Light.
Although it was also the most expensive of the three movement techniques, costing an entire 20 celestial coins, it could also be considered the one with the most potential and best fitting for his current situation considering that he had already comprehended the Dao of Light.
In the end, Xuan Hao hesitated for a bit before deciding to look around at combat techniques related to the Dao of Space before coming to a decision whether or not to use 20 celestial coins on a single movement technique.
After all, he didn’t want to end up in a situation where he was left with only 10 celestial coins and the Dao of Space related combat technique that he wanted just so happened to cost 11 celestial coins.
As a result, Xuan Hao left the movement technique section of the second floor and made his way towards the place where combat techniques related to the Dao of Space were stored under the guidance of the preservation golem.
“Spatial Slash… Spatial Seal… Void Sword Art, First Volume… Hm? Spatial Shift and Partial Spatial Collapse? Didn’t expect to find a few familiar techniques here…”
Looking through the combat techniques related to the Dao of Space, Xuan Hao could not help showing a somewhat surprised look on his face after discovering a few familiar combat techniques.
Then again, it wasn’t that surprising considering the spatial collapse and spatial shift should be corner stone techniques for those comprehending the Dao of Space. After all, they weren’t that complicated and would inevitably be leant when one’s comprehension reached a high enough realm.
For this reason, their price wasn’t that high either. Only costing 4 celestial coins each.
The first volume of the Void Sword Art on the other hand cost a total of 8 celestial coins. Making one wonder just how expensive the entire sword art was.
The Spatial Seal and the simpler Spatial Slash on the other hand didn’t cost too much either, standing at around 6 celestial coins each.
However, Xuan Hao didn’t stop after just 5 combat techniques, as he continued to look through the different space related combat techniques. Trying to see if he could find something that would be fitting for his current fighting style.
Unfortunately, there weren’t that many combat techniques related to the Dao of Space that were also related to the Dao of the Sword.
In the end, outside of the Void Sword Art, he only managed to find a total 12 sword arts on the second floor that were related to the Dao of Space. Most of them exceeding the price of 10 celestial coins that he wanted them to be at or below.
