Chapter 286: Eruption! Escape of Feng Chen and Zu Fei
BOOM!
As the volcano erupted, Feng Chen and Zu Fei watched the side of the volcano that they had been in earlier explode violently as a large creature came out. Followed by an even more violent explosion that directly destroyed the entire side of the volcano as flaming rocks were launched flying into the air together with toxic gases.
Lava began to flow freely from several places as well, causing the fire lizards to roar in happiness as they bathed in the lava that flowed out from the magma chamber below the volcano.
ROAR!
This, however, was not the scariest thing… Instead, it was the giant creature that had been sleeping in the magma chamber below. Now coming out from beneath as Feng Chen and Zu Fei could barely see its true appearance beneath the large amount of lava and other things covering up the creature’s true appearance.
Roar!
Roar!
At the same time that the giant creature let out a terrifying roar, a few roars could be heard in the distance as Feng Chen and Zu Fei immediately knew who the roar belonged to.
The demon beasts fighting with each other back at the mountain they had escaped from earlier noticed the appearance of the creature that had just come out from its sleep inside the magma chamber of the volcano!
ROAR!
Seemingly offended by the roars in the distance, the large creature still covered in lava and other volcanic rocks unfolded a large pair of wings as it flapped them, causing everything around it to be swallowed in a cloud of dust and smoke.
Whoosh!
With one final powerful flap from its pair of wings, Feng Chen and Zu Fei could barely see the creature fly over in the direction of the mountain where the group of demon beasts had been fighting each other.
Boom!
In response to the giant creature leaving, the volcano once again erupted with even more force than before as a large amount of rock were launched flying in all directions.
“We should get out of h-”
Interrupting what Zu Fei was about to say, Feng Chen did not wait around for any longer as he directly grabbed onto Zu Fei and left at the fastest speed possible. Dodging any of the flaming rocks launched up into the air by the erupting volcano.
The sect master of the Raging Flame Sect, Dong He, could be considered dead. After all, there was no way for him to survive given his half-dead state! Now they just had to get back to the Flying Sword Sect in one piece.
“We will leave the Burning Mountain Range through one of the neighbouring kingdoms and try our best to remain hidden… Going back the same way we came, is most likely not going to be doable during the next few days…”
Saying this as he carried Zu Fei away from the volcano, Feng Chen could not help but look in the direction that the creature that had come out from beneath the volcano had flown in.
Whatever that creature was, Feng Chen sincerely hoped that he would never have to encounter it ever again…!
…
“Yes! Just like this, you are doing great Bai Ning! Just keep it up like this and you will be able to progress smoothly in the future!”
At the same time, back in the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao was having a great time teaching Bai Ning the basics of cultivation.
Compared to his two other disciples, Qing Yi and Chu Yang, who had already started cultivating before they met him, Bai Ning had never touched anything regarding cultivation before!
“Thank you master!”
“No worries, you can come to me anytime you are struggling with something or need any help with your cultivation!”
“Yes, master!”
Watching as Bai Ning left, Xuan Hao felt what it was like to be a role model and teacher for someone.
Teaching someone who knew nothing about cultivation was way easier and Xuan Hao felt like he would be able to accomplish it even if he had never taught anything before!
“But I still need to teach Qing Yi and Chu Yang in the future… Maybe I should look for one of the other elders and ask for some advice…?”
Muttering this to himself as he thought about his two disciples now out adventuring together, Xuan Hao did not want to admit to the fact that one of the reasons why he allowed for them to leave in the first place, was that he did not have a lot to teach them.
Xuan Hao had never really known how or what to teach Chu Yang and Qing Yi… And having them go out and explore the territory of the Flying Sword Sect, while picking up a few missions to complete for the Flying Sword Sect, was a plan for Xuan Hao to find out what to teach the two of them in the future.
Finding out how to grow his two disciples was not something easy and Xuan Hao had spent the first few days after his disciples had left looking for various ways to improve his teaching ability.
In the end, he had not found out much about what to do and in the end, concluded that he would have to ask one of the elders about help.
Among the elders who were skilled in teaching, one name quickly appeared in Xuan Hao’s mind…
Elder Song!
Beloved by both the elder and younger generation, Elder Song could be considered the most skilled person when it came to teaching the younger generation of the Flying Sword Sect, being the driving force behind most, if not all events and large-scale lectures conducted by the elders for the disciples of the Flying Sword Sect.
‘Looks like I will have to meet Elder Song and ask him for some advice… I hope he is not too busy, given that Feng Chen and Zu Fei are both missing at the moment…’
Chuckling a bit to himself as he thought this, Xuan Hao used his divine sense to for a short moment before setting off in the direction of Elder Song.
Finding him was not hard at all, his divine sense having grown even more powerful after reaching the Domain Lord Realm also helped shorten the time taken to find Elder Song even more…
