Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough – Chapter 289

289 Qing Yi Wakes up

Chapter 289: Qing Yi Wakes up

“Huh? Where am I…?”

Looking around herself in confusion, Qing Yi found herself laying in a bed inside of what she could only assume was an inn.

But how had she ended up here in the first place…? Had Chu Yang perhaps carried her here!?

Upon reaching this thought, a small blush appeared on her face as Qing Yi soon buried her head in the soft quilt that covered her.

It was only after relaxing and trying to remember what exactly had led to her current situation that she managed to calm down.

She had killed someone… Not a demon beast, but another human!

“Hah…”

Shivering a bit when she thought about it, Qing Yi took a deep breath of fresh air and soon relaxed her body as she remembered what Chu Yang had told her before she fell asleep… She should not feel bad about it. After all, who knew how many bad things the bandit had done before!

Other than that, she was a cultivator! Fighting and killing others would inevitably happen, whether she liked it or not, she had to have the ability to protect herself properly and not leave any future trouble for herself…

Compared to the bandit staying alive and most likely forgetting about the event a few months down the line, a normal cultivator would most likely remember being beaten up and plot his or her revenge sometime in the future…

At least she remembered how her master had told her and Chu Yang about that and instilled his belief in them of not leaving any future trouble behind when dealing with one’s enemies.

Being merciful to one’s enemies is most of the time just leaving around problems for one to deal with in the future…

So, there was nothing wrong with killing the bandit leader!

Creak~

As Qing Yi was slowly coming to terms with the fact that she had killed another human and would most likely end up killing more in the future, the door to the room opened before quickly being shut close again.

“Ah! You are awake!”

The voice of Chu Yang soon echoed out from the entrance of the room, as Qing Yi turned around and looked over at her junior brother. Not knowing how to react as she kept remembering how he had carried her earlier and even put her to sleep!

How truly humiliating!

“Hm? Are you perhaps still feeling bad about what happened earlier? Don’t worry so much about it, just think about the bandit leader like a demon beast that tried to attack you!”

Misunderstanding Qing Yi’s silence, Chu Yang walked over beside her and quickly reassured her by patting the top of her head like he was comforting a child. Not knowing how embarrassing his actions were to Qing Yi.

Wha- What in the world is this?! Does he think I’m a child or something!?

Hurriedly slapping his hand away from the top of her head as she jumped out of the bed before staring maliciously at Chu Yang, Qing Yi held back her urge to send him flying.

“Never do that again! And where are we currently!?”

“We are currently inside a small town located close to the border where we fought with the bandits, I have already contacted someone from the River Sect and informed them about our arrival… They should send someone over to act as our guide soon.”

Answering Qing Yi’s question without saying anything regarding what he had done earlier, Chu Yang walked over to the door under the cautious eyes of Qing Yi before opening it.

“Do you want something to eat before we move out?”

Saying this after opening the door leading out into a small hallway of the in, Chu Yang observed Qing Yi closely as she nodded her head eagerly at the mention of food.

“Great, we will eat first and then meet up with the person sent by the River Sect before making our way towards the Red Flower Ridge and dealing with those bandits…”

Like this, Qing Yi and Chu Yang both made their way down into the dining area of the inn to get something to eat. During the course of the meal, Qing Yi returned to her former self as she had come to terms with what had happened earlier on, though she still remained wary of Chu Yang when he got too close to her for some unknown reason…

As Xuan Hao began focusing on learning how to teach his disciple properly and his two disciples were getting closer to reaching their destination inside the territory of the River Sect, a lone man sitting on top of a throne inside the Azure Sky Kingdom slowly opened his eyes.

“Looks like I will have to move myself…”

The emotionless voice of the man on top of the throne slowly echoed out inside the empty throne room as he looked over in the direction of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom.

He had just been informed that the fellow he sent over to inform the army that they should attack the Heavenly Sky Kingdom, had run away…

Even more importantly, the Spring Flower Sect apparently had someone in the Half-Step Domain Lord Realm and was even beginning the process of merging together with another sect from the Heavenly Sky Kingdom called the Flying Sword Sect!

“How truly interesting! I never expected for the Heavenly Sky Kingdom to have someone like that! Well… As long as that person does not get in my way, its fine…”

Muttering this to himself as he thought about the other part of the report stating that the Spring Flower Sect and the Flying Sword Sect would not interfere in the war and help the Heavenly Sky Kingdom, the man on the throne could not help but secretly laugh to himself.

If the Heavenly Sky Kingdom had a Half-Step Domain Lord supporting them, he would need to rethink a few of his future plans… But this was no longer needed if the Half-Step Domain Lord from the Spring Flower Sect was in the process of breaking free from the control of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom!

To be honest, the man even began thinking about how he could use the Spring Flower Sect to help him deal with the Heavenly Sky Kingdom, but quickly shook his head and threw the thought away.

Risking a potential fallout with the Half-Step Domain Lord would not be a good idea… And she might even be able to sense ‘that’!

Thinking about this, the man on top of the throne narrowed his eyes as they slowly turned crimson as an unbearable killing intent slowly began to fill the entire throne room.

Whoosh!

“My lord! The minister is heading for the Ascendant Frost Hall, just as we expected!”

Just as the killing intent filling the room was about to reach a new height, a shadow in the shape of a man appeared beside the man on top of the throne as he informed him.

“Hm? That was earlier than I expected, thought he would first return to that place and… No matter, you may leave! Continue keeping an eye on him, he might be on to something!”

Raising on of his eyebrows in a slightly surprised expression upon hearing what the person that had appeared beside him said, the man on top of the throne quickly calmed down as the killing intent filling the throne room disappeared and his eyes returned to normal.

“Yes, my lord!”

Bowing his head upon hearing the order from the man on top of the throne, the shadow in the shape of a man slowly merged into the surroundings before disappearing from the throne room. Leaving behind only the man on top of the throne as he pondered about something for a short moment before standing up.

“Looks like it’s time to end the Heavenly Sky Kingdom and get that thing before those people from the Ascendant Frost Hall realizes that something is wrong…”

Saying this as he walked towards the entrance to his throne room, the man soon opened the large door leading outside with a thought.

“Your majesty!”

“Y-your highness!”

“Lord!”

“Hah… I hope that old ancestor of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom won’t disappoint me too much…”

Muttering this to himself as he ignored the all the titles that the surrounding soldiers and other staff currently in front of his throne room uttered with shock written all over their faces, the man directly disappeared in front of them as he made his way in the direction of the Heavenly Sky Kingdom!

“Where is his majesty going!?”

“Perhaps he is going to help the army dealing with the Heavenly Sky Kingdom? I heard that their old ancestor has been quite troublesome for the general to deal with…”

“That is true…”

“I think he wants to quickly deal with it before those people gains too much power inside the kingdom…” As the soldiers and staff were chatting with each other about what their king was up to, a young maid could not help but join in with her own ideas.

“What do you mean?”

Many of the people were confused after hearing what the young maid said as one of the soldiers stepped forward and asked for all of them.

“Hm? You don’t know? After the plague appeared, a group of priests claiming to be from the church of the plague god appeared and…”
