Chapter 64: Plotting the Downfall of the Beast Tamers
Returning to the Flying Sword Sect, Xuan Hao did not immediately go visit the Sect Master to talk about how the “Beast Tamers” were wasting their spirit stones. Instead, he returned to his pavilion on top of his mountain peak together with Qing Yi.
“Master, what do we do with this guy? Should I call someone from the medical department to come over?” As they entered the pavilion, Qing Yi asked as she looked at the still unconscious Chu Yang that her master had thrown at a nearby couch.
“No need, he should be able to wake up soon. For now, I will have to go talk to the Sect Master about something serious. Please do take care of him until I return, I will be back shortly. Say hey to Zhi Ruo for me!” With that, Xuan Hao left before Qing Yi even managed to say anything as she could only stare in the direction her master had disappeared in.
What am I supposed to tell this guy when he wakes up? That master “kidnapped” him when he was unconscious?
Thinking about this, Qing Yi looked back down at Chu Yang as she shook her head and left the small room that she was currently in and went to find Zhi Ruo. Maybe she would know what to do when the person that her master had “kidnapped” woke up…
“Ah!” On her way to meet Zhi Ruo, Qing Yi remembered the herbs that she had carried back with her to the sect and quickly went and got them from the small room.
Zhi Ruo would definitely be able to use some of them in their food, it wouldn’t hurt to give her a few of the Mortal Grade herbs and better food would always be great!
…
As Xuan Hao made his way down his mountain peak, he wondered how he should deal with the shadow hawk that had thrown them off its back on the way to the Bright Sun City.
Should he grill it over an open fire or get the sects kitchen staff to prepare it for him so he could share it with the rest of the sect disciples and elders~?
“Hehe…” An evil laughter could be heard from Xuan Hao, scaring some of the nearby disciples along the way to the sect master’s pavilion, as he planned the downfall of the “Beast Tamers” of the Flying Sword Sect.
Like this, Xuan Hao soon stood in front of the entrance to the Sect Master’s pavilion.
“Come in, elder Xuan…” A young man in his mid-twenties walked out from the pavilion and invited Xuan Hao inside.
This was the current number one genius of the Flying Sword Sects younger generation, Ling Song!
Looking at his cultivation, Xuan Hao discovered that he had already reached the peak of the Foundation Establishment Realm and could even be said to already have half a step into the Core Formation Realm, only needing a slight push to breakthrough.
Reaching this cultivation realm when he was only in his mid-twenties was indeed impressive and he would most likely reach the Nascent Soul Realm in the future if nothing happened to him and become a pillar of the Flying Sword Sect.
Xuan Hao had not really interacted with this disciple, but from what he could tell, he was a decent guy.
The only thing that puzzled Xuan Hao was the fact that Ling Song’s talent was only 15. Given his current accomplishments, he should most definitely have a higher talent than 15, but no matter how hard Xuan Hao looked, the number stayed the same.
Indeed, it looked like even without talent, you could still breakthrough your own limit and accomplish something above what was normally possible for you.
Looks like he had to not just evaluate the talent of his disciples in the future, but also focus on their willpower and other things that could help them progress on the road of cultivation… Well… Given that the system would start making him take in disciples with higher and higher talent…
What would come after a talent of 50? A 100? Could he even find someone like that in the Heavenly Sky Kingdom?
“Hah…” Letting out a sigh as he thought about his future situation, Xuan Hao turned to Ling Song and motioned for him to lead the way.
Ling Song did not say anything and quietly led Xuan Hao into the pavilion.
The pavilion of the Sect Master was way bigger than the one that Xuan Hao had, and it was decorated with all kinds of random things that the Sect Master had found over the years. From a golden buddha statue that he had found in an ancient ruin, to a small toy doll he had gotten from a normal mortal child in the past.
The Sect Master did not really care much about the treasures or things he got from his many travels around the Heavenly Sky Kingdom and would mostly just hang it or display it somewhere in the pavilion before forgetting about it a few minutes later.
Xuan Hao still remembered the first time he visited the Sect Master’s pavilion, back then he had thought he walked into a museum of some sort with all the extraordinary objects that were displayed everywhere.
Back then, he had also visited a rather infamous room in the pavilion.
The room was filled with all the things that was not displayed from the Sect Master’s travels and anything from a strong Spirit Artifact to a random glove could be found there.
Xuan Hao had even heard a few rumours about the Sect Master allowing people to go in and try their luck at picking something from the storage room.
Some found strong artifacts, while others walked away with a burnt-out candle.
In the end, Xuan Hao heard that the disciples had started some kind tournament to choose a winner and allow them to enter the gambl- treasure room of the Sect Master and try their luck.
“Come in.” Arriving in front of a room at the centre of the pavilion, Xuan Hao was drawn out from his thoughts as he looked at the door where the voice came from.
Ling Song stepped back a bit as the door opened and Xuan Hao entered, he would discuss how best to deal with the “Beast Tamers” and make sure the shadow hawk paid for what it did!
A small smile appeared on his lips as he thought about the shadow hawk, just you wait! I will make sure you taste well~!
CREATORS’ THOUGHTS

why chapter so late? Was reading other novels and entered an author midlife crisis as I found out how bad I am at writing. Overcame my author midlife crisis and started writing again…. Shortest crisis I ever had, mostly got solved when I realized that 99% of all the plot in most stories was Arrogant villain A appears and offends mc, mc defeat arrogant villain A, arrogant villain A’s family/sect/clan appears for revenge, mc defeats them, rinse and repeat. Back to not having anything to read… So writing it is I guess ¯_(ツ)_/¯
