” Let’s go. ” She spoke and after taking one last glance at Jayden she began to walk.
” Are you going straight home? I heard you live alone. ” Jenny spoke.
” I am going to play basketball first, and yeah I do live alone. ” He answered.
” Maybe I can go to watch the match since I have some free time. ” Jenny mumbled.
” You can come, then you will be able to wait for Harry so you both can go home together. ” Jayden spoke knowing her thoughts.
” T- That’s not it, why do you have to be so- so stupid, hmph I guess you are a member of a group of idiots after all. ” Jenny spoke while turning her head away.
While talking they soon arrived at the court but a surprise was waiting there for Jayden, a senior from the final year who had just returned from a trip found that Jasmine have a boyfriend now and he became even more angry after hearing it was just a junior.
As soon as he entered all eyes turned towards Jayden, he felt something was strange and soon a boy with a height of more than six feet and a huge body walked in front of him, he was holding a basketball and looked at Jayden with a hateful gaze.
” So you are Jayden? Are you the one whom my Jasmine is dating? ” The boy asked in an arrogant tone.
” Yes, I am, who are you? ” Jayden asked normally without showing any signs of being afraid.
” I am Tyler, don’t you know she is my girl how dare you even accept her proposal, although I want to beat you up but this is my final year.
And I don’t want to make unnecessary trouble so play a match of basketball with me if you lose you’ll have to break up with her. ” Tyler spoke while dribbling the ball.
” I am not interested, why do I even need to do that? ” Jayden spoke and without paying him any attention he began to walk away.
” Wait, it’s a bet you have to do it, otherwise you can’t date Jasmine, you have to show that you are someone worthy enough to be with her- ” Tyler spoke as he blocked Jayden’s path.
Jayden frowned seeing his comical act, this person had watched too many movies so he decided to put this senior in his place.
” If it’s a bet then what can you offer me in return, so you must want me to break up with my girlfriend right? Then you also need to offer something of equal importance in return don’t you think so? ” Jayden asked.
” I- I’ll offer you money all of it I have, I will even become your slave and do whatever you want, so let’s play this game and get it over with. ” The senior spoke while looking down at Jayden with a haughty gaze.
” If that’s all then I’m not interested, why would I want your scraps when I’m already so rich, you don’t have anything that could interest me.
I have money, a big house, looots of cars, a beautiful girlfriend that you could only dream of, I have parents- ah sorry I meant I’m just not interested in this bet. ”
Jayden said and then ignored the senior who stood in front of him with the veins bulging in anger all over his body was quite huge so he looked quite intimidating.
” Hey, don’t you know him? His name is Tyler, I heard he has relations with the local gangsters and he is planning to become a pro, you shouldn’t speak like that to him. ” Jenny whispered in Jayden’s ear while walking beside him.
” Wait!! Then tell me what is it you want, whatever it is I’ll do it so let’s not waste any more time and start the game. ” Tyler shouted, Jayden finally stopped and looked back at him.
” Go sit there, it seems he won’t leave me alone until I play with him a little. ”
Jayden spoke to Jenny, she wanted to stop but she sighed and just sat on the seats she wondered if she should ask someone for help, she looked around and then saw Jasmine sitting in one of the corners along with some of her friends.
‘ Was she already here or did she come here to see Jayden play? ‘ Jenny wondered then she directed her attention back to Jayden.
” Fine, if I lose I’ll break up with my girlfriend but if you lose then you would just have to… you need to stand in front of the college entrance for three hours… ”
Jayden spoke and paused. While Tyler wondered if this was all, then Jayden added:
” Completely naked, that will be your punishment do you still want to do it? ” He asked giving a mocking look to the senior.
” Fuck alright, you better break up with my Jasmine after losing, I’ll agree with those terms and the game is simple the one who gets the higher number of baskets will win, at the three positions key, half court and three pointer. ” Tyler spoke.
” And what happens in case it’s a draw? ” Jayden asked non challantly.
Jasmine was sitting in the corner of the seats with all her friends a cold expression on her face as usual, she was not sure why she even came here but before she knew it, she was already sitting there.
” Jasmine, do you think your boyfriend will win? If he loses then you would have to break up with him, anyway even though he is not my boyfriend I am still feeling butterflies in my belly.
Look how he is fighting against that senior for you, and how he calls you his girlfriend ughhh why can’t I have a passionate boyfriend like him. ” The girl sitting beside Jasmine spoke.
“…” Jasmine stayed silent as usual, it was not she liked Jayden so she was not worried about him losing she was getting a strange feeling seeing him act like that, it was a feeling she had never felt before so she was not sure what was going on with her mind and body.
” If it’s a draw then it’s your win, now let’s start and not waste anymore time. ” Tyler spoke and extended the ball towards Jayden.
” You can go first, I am not that confident. ” He refused while shaking his hands, the students around wondered why he even bet his relationship if he was not confident.
” Jasmine, tell me honestly does your boyfriend even like you, how could he bet something like that if he was not confident, it’s like he doesn’t care about you at all.
Maybe I was wrong about him, whether or not he lose the match it would be better for you to actually break up with him. ” Her friend said while Jasmine just kept staring at Jayden.
