Chapter 657: Life in college-8 (Luck)

Since the beginning Jasmine had just confessed to Jayden without thinking much, there were two reasons behind her confession first to keep some annoying boys away and second since for some reason, Jayden seemed different to her.
But seeing his current attitude she felt disappointed about her decision, after all, he was acting just like the other boys right now, she couldn’t understand how her gut feeling was wrong this time when it had always worked.
” Then I’m going first, watch and learn, also you looked good with that girl earlier so just stick with her and don’t bite more than you can chew.
After all, I’m not the only guy after her, there are many others much more dangerous than me. ” After saying that Tyler grinned and walked closer to the basket.
Then he easily got the ball inside the basket all five times after which he looked back at Jayden with scorn then he moved to the half court and began to throw the ball with full concentration.
Everyone on the court was watching him with interest after all he was a pretty famous player in the College and more than that he was famous for being a troublemaker since he hang out with gangsters.
” Hey Jasmine, at this rate your boyfriend is definitely going to lose, can’t believe your first relationship is coming to an end like this, maybe I should try asking him out then hehe. ” Jasmine’s friend spoke and laughed.
” Tsk What’s that idiot doing, haa I shouldn’t have let him do that maybe I should call Harry. ” Jenny mumbled then she called him but he was busy so he wasn’t able to pick up the call.
Tyler was finally able to get all five shots in the basket he looked back at Jayden and grinned, he knew that it would be impossible for him to date Jasmine since many others were chasing after her but at least he would be able to get rid of Jayden.
” Woah Bravo, you can do it, prove to us all that even a poor orphan who lives on the streets and has to steal to get food can actually become a pro in the basketball. ” Jayden shouted, cheering Tyler.
” Shout all you want, you will be regretting coming here soon. ” Tyler spoke through gritted teeth then he moved away from the ring and began to attempt the three pointers his expression changed and he was more serious than ever.
To everyone it felt as if the time had stopped they watched as Tyler threw the first shot the crowd in court had increased quite a bit by now, and then Tyler succeeded with his first shot.
Without breaking his concentration he began to throw the next shots, all the people in the court were now sure that Jayden was going to lose and then break up with Jasmine, whose mood was getting more sour by the second and her expressions more chilly.
After all five of the shots ended he was able to secure four baskets though one missed in the end barely, Tyler turned to look at Jayden with a big smirk throwing the ball towards him he spoke:
” Try your luck, maybe you can actually beat me, heh anyway since Jasmine is already here why don’t you just ask her for the break up instead of wasting your time? ”
” Yeah you are right, I think there is no point in trying after seeing how you played, so that’s it huh? ” Jayden mumbled and then looked towards the seats where Jasmine was seated she was sitting there and looking back at him.
Their gaze met but it felt as if she was angry for some reason after a few seconds she moved her gaze away from him, knowing that he was going to come near her to fulfil his side of the bet.
” Then I’m going to do it now. ” Jayden spoke while Tyler had a big smile on his face and kept laughing idiotically.
Everyone in the crowd sighed it seemed Jayden’s reputation was going down in their eyes while Jenny wondered why Jayden even placed the bet if he was not confident he didn’t seem like someone stupid to her.
As Jayden began to walk out of the court with his back against the ring he threw the ball back casually, as if he had not paid much attention Tyler was not paying attention but all of a sudden there was a loud gasping sound.
” Did you see that, the ball passed through the net even though he was so far and was not even looking at the basket, dang that’s some crazy luck. ” Someone in the crowd spoke and soon the court became noisy.
Jayden stopped and looked back at the ball, then he looked at Tyler and spoke: ” Senior, it seems my luck is really going all out then maybe I should try this out a few more times, who knows I might just get lucky. ”
” Haa Why are you wasting my time? It happened just now because of luck but it is impossible for you to get the ball inside the basket each time, fine try it. ” Tyler spoke and decided to wait a little longer.
Then Jayden stood at the three-point and after taking the ball he began to throw the ball but it looked as if he was just throwing the ball randomly, Tyler was sure it would miss but to his surprise, the ball went inside the basket once again.
” What?!! What kind of luck is that? ” Tyler mumbled as he watched the the scene with wide eyes.
Then without paying any attention to Tyler Jayden began to throw the ball from there each time he just threw the ball casually but every time it went inside perfectly, five times, ten times, twenty times, thirty times.
Jayden only stopped after throwing the ball thirty times from the three pointer position and not a single one of them missed, everyone on the court was shocked, especially Tyler, Jasmine and Jenny.
They all stared at Jayden in shock it definitely was not just luck if he could do it so many times, with an innocent smile Jayden looked at Tyler and spoke:
” It seems I have won the bet or do you want me to throw the ball from the half court and key position, I can do that if you want. ”
” N- No, that’s not necessary, it’s your win. ” Tyler spoke with great difficulty after all letting Jayden continue for any longer would only make him look even worse.
” Then you need to fulfil your side of the bet don’t you think so? When are you going to stand naked at the college entrance? ” Jayden asked, still with his harmless smile.
The court was completely silent and Tyler could only hear the loud thumping sound of his heart while feeling the gaze of everyone from the crowd, he shook his head and refused:
” No there is no way I can do that, just get lost you know about me right? ”
