Chapter 729: Nether Lord-2
Even Jayden’s high defenses didn’t stop the waves of pain from filling all his senses, yet he stayed still with his eyes closed and didn’t release any sound.
The Nether energy moved across his entire body and began to cause destruction inside.
COUGH COUGH
He coughed out a mouthful of blood but didn’t stop absorbing the energy. After moving inside his body, the energy was finally recognizing him and only then was it allowing itself to be merged with his body.
“…” Anna watched this in silence. She knew that this wouldn’t be enough to kill him, but if anything went wrong, he might lose all of the Nether energy and even the chance to become the next Nether Lord.
For Jayden, each second felt like an hour. It was slow and painful, but only the motivation of his strength increasing every moment was pushing him forward.
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*
Suddenly, a large amount of energy rushed towards him as if it had a consciousness of its own, and the entire energy had recognized Jayden as its enemy, thinking he was trying to take control of them and destroy their world.
Before he could absorb this large amount of energy, it hit his body, creating a large explosion that threw his body back onto the floor. It didn’t leave any injuries on his outer body, but his organs were impacted from the inside.
Jayden fell onto the ground and coughed several mouthfuls of blood. He stopped using the Demonic Devouring Arts for some time and instead focused on stabilizing his condition before all the Nether energy could leave his body.
He sat cross legged with his eyes closed at the center of the crater that had just been created from his body. It took him over a couple of hours to finally be able to stabilize the energy.
When Jayden normally absorbs the Nether energy, he does so slowly since it gives the world time to recognize him as the future Lord, but doing it in a forceful way was completely different.
“Haa, I guess it’s not going to be as easy.”
Without wasting any time, he began to float again, and instantly he activated the Demonic Devouring Arts as the energy that had settled down not too long ago was once again pulled towards him.
The sound of explosions could be heard every few minutes all over the Nether world.
Jayden received injuries again and again, but he stood up every time and continued to absorb energy forcefully, though not a single scratch appeared over his body.
An entire day had passed, yet Jayden had not fully succeeded, though he had absorbed quite a lot of Nether energy.
It was not only putting a lot of stress on his body but even on his mind. After an entire day of torture, Jayden felt as if his head was constantly buzzing, and his eyelids felt heavy.
Over the night, without any rest, he continued to absorb more energy. The next day passed just like that. At some point, even the Nether energy seemed to have given up any kind of resistance and allowed him to easily absorb all the energy.
As Jayden absorbed Nether energy, his body was consumed by a purple flame that kept increasing in concentration. After a short time, it looked as if his entire body had been put on fire.
Almost three days had passed, and Jayden had finally reached the full concentration of the Nether energy. He slowly landed on the ground.
Everything around him, the mountains, the sky, the creatures that were running around, everything was brimming with energy as if they were celebrating getting a new lord after such a long time.
Jayden could easily feel everything about even the rocks as if the world had feelings. It had a stronger presence than ever. He could even feel the rules of this place, and right now, Jayden was nothing less than a god, the creator of the Nether World.
He held such a vast amount of energy inside his body.
Even aside from the whole Dimensional Stone inside his body, the Nether energy and the dragon aura alone were enough to cause so much destruction if he ever allowed them to self-destruct, and the Dimensional Stone could literally destroy their entire universe and affect even the others.
Jayden looked around. Now he felt as if this place truly was his home, and even the creatures that he always ignored had life and feelings.
He could make almost any kind of changes he wanted to this planet. The Nether world had been hidden ever since the death of the last Nether Lord, and for now, Jayden decided to keep it hidden.
Closing his eyes, he sensed the energy filling his body. The Nether energy and the dragon aura were completely in sync now. With this done, he was now ready to go to war with the three large groups of enemies.
Of course, he wasn’t planning on attacking them all at the same time; that would be nothing short of suicide. After all, their combined strength is high, and they have all kinds of treasures, not to mention if other races come to help them.
“So he went to the Goblin planet,” Jayden mumbled. He was easily able to locate the place where the other side of the Beast King’s portal had opened.
“Eve, you should stay here for now. It might be dangerous for you to go there,” Jayden said, as she jumped up from his arm and looked at him with watery eyes.
“Kiuu.” She released a small sound, as if she had agreed reluctantly. The Beast King might have some things prepared for Eve that even Jayden might not be able to guard against.
Then Jayden tore the space with his hand and walked inside. He glanced back at Eve as the portal closed slowly.
******
Inside a big luxurious room that was filled with quite a lot of gadgets created by the witches, several men sat there. These men belonged to three different races: goblin, vampire, and beast.
It was a rectangular-shaped table. The Goblin King was seated in the middle on one side. To his left sat the Beast King and a couple of other beasts, and to the right sat the vampires with their bodies completely covered with black clothes.
*BANG*
“Not only did you waste that pure blood, but you even wasted the summoning fluid. And what did you bring in return? Just the fact that Jayden is not stupid, he is weak, and that the blood worked on him.”
The goblin standing beside the Goblin King shouted as he hit his hand against the table. All eyes were fixed on Malgor.
“Hahaha, don’t be so rough on me now. I even brought this image of Jayden’s second wife. Do you even know how difficult it was for me?” Malgor spoke as a photo appeared in his hand.
“Ahem, it actually wasn’t that bad then. Let’s forget about this matter. The teleporting fluid was well spent; there’s no need to cry over spilled milk.” The Goblin King spoke, coughing lightly.
