Chapter 736: An eye for an eye
“Let’s skip the useless talk, someone wants me to kill you and since I have already received the payment, I have to do it now,” Jayden said as he walked closer to the door.
“Kill me? Who would dare to do something like that? Let’s see if you have the ability to kill me,” Bael spoke as a grin appeared on his face.
“By the way, Belphegor is the one who wanted me to kill you,” Jayden said as he pulled the door without putting much effort.
“Belphegor?!!” Bael spoke with wide eyes and he was surprised by Jayden’s physical strength too but calming himself he thought that Jayden is the strength type but he has a trump card of his own that could defeat anyone.
“Heh, that name no longer scares me. Instead of using the name of a dead man, why don’t you try hitting me?” Bael spoke as he placed both his hands behind his back.
This was the trick that allowed him to help others in killing Belphegor, at that time he just needed to create a distraction for others.
But Bael didn’t believe Jayden could be anywhere near as strong as his teacher or even if he is, his next trick would be enough to at least severely injure Jayden which would give him some time to run.
Jayden looked at him lazily, Bael knows the Demonic Devouring Arts but his understanding of that technique is much lower than Jayden’s, though he could also feel another type of energy coming from Bael.
Jayden understood what Bael was planning, still Jayden just stood there without moving and allowed Bael to get the first strike.
“Go ahead and try it, you don’t have to sneak an attack. I’m giving you a chance if you could injure me I’ll leave you alive,” Jayden said, his tone plain.
“What an ignorant fool, even you know about my teacher then you should have known how dangerous his techniques were, and out of them all I know the best among them all,” Bael said as he pulled both his hands forward.
On one of his hands a ball created by the usage of Demonic Devouring Arts was revolving and from the other hand, the spatial energy was leaking out, he was sure that Jayden would soon be kneeling in front of him.
“Have a taste of my strongest attack,” Bael spoke with a grin on his face, as the spatial energy moved towards Jayden and the sphere made of Demonic Devouring Arts disappeared.
“COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH COUGH” Jayden began to cough violently instantly, his body bent forward slightly as he placed a hand over his chest.
“Hahahahahaha Did you see that? Now kneel in front of me and beg, I’ll give you an easy death. Belphegor sent you? I’m the one who killed him, who do you think you are? Buhahahaha,”
Bael held the sides of his stomach and began to laugh madly, his face contorted.
“Weak, is that all you can do?” Jayden’s back straightened, as he looked back at Bael with his head tilted one of his hands was raised and the sphere that Bael created was floating over his palm.
“You are such a troll,” Anna commented.
“Wait, what? How? Who are you? Why are you still alive? Are you really sent by my master? Tell me your name?”
Bael’s smile disappeared in an instant, a feeling of fear gripped his heart as he threw one question after another hoping to find a way to escape from this place.
Jayden squeezed his palm and destroyed the sphere, then he stepped towards Bael his gaze fixed on the frightened man, each step echoing inside the silent prison cell.
“Stay away from me, I have even stronger attacks,” Bael shouted, and threw several similar spheres but before they could even get close to Jayden they disappeared.
That attack is Bael’s strongest attack but that’s not all as that is the only attack in his arsenal, he didn’t learn any other attack since that single attack had allowed him to obtain so much that he could never have dreamed of.
Jayden kept moving forward while Bael kept taking shaky steps back and soon his back hit the wall of the prison, with nowhere to go he began to plead.
“No no no no no Can’t you spare me? See I’m going to kneel in front of you and beg for my life, please let me live, Belphegor sent you, right?
I’m not the one who killed him, someone else just framed me. I’m his lovely disciple, let’s talk this out, it’s nothing more than a misunderstanding.”
Bael knelt on the floor and began to beg, his words sounding quite similar to the ones he had said before though the attitude has completely changed.
“SILENT” Jayden spoke one word and Bael could no longer speak, it was as if his lips had been glued together no matter how much he tried now he could only look at Jayden in horror.
From the time when Jayden had gone to complete that quest, his strength had increased by a whole lot, at that time he was not even a match for half of Bael’s strength but now he could kill Bael without even using any strength.
Jayden flicked one of his fingers, and Bael’s body was plastered against the wall as if he was posing like Jesus when he was hanged on a cross, Bael kept trying to shake his head but there was nothing he could do.
“Don’t worry I’m not going to kill you,” Jayden said, which visibly calmed Bael down then Jayden added:
“Have you heard the phrase: An eye for an eye? Since your master was so angry I’ll gift him one of your eyes, I hope he would be happy with that.”
Bael’s eyes widened in shock as he heard those words and in the next moment, he closed his eyes shut while constantly trying to call for help.
Jayden raised his right hand and brought it right in front of Bael’s eyes.
In the next moment, Bael’s eyes began to open as if his eyelids were being pulled apart by some invisible force, it was so strong that Bael felt as if it was going to tear his skin.
He watched in horror as Jayden’s hand kept getting closer, then a loud muffled scream rang out as Jayden pulled his eyeball out, blood spluttered around and Bael shook his head madly in pain.
Then Jayden stored the eye in his storage ring and allowed Bael to fall onto the floor and scream properly, he began to cry loudly, now the prison was filled with his screams.
“Ahhhhh My eye my eye, it hurts so much, I can’t see anything Ughhhhh” Bael kept screaming as he rolled around on the floor.
After more than twenty minutes had passed, Bael finally began to relax while Jayden just stood there looking at him and thinking of other things.
When Bael’s mind finally got some clarity he felt that maybe this outcome was not as bad as he had expected.
