Chapter 796: The rematch-1
“So, shall we have a rematch?” Jayden asked.
“I wouldn’t mind; I am curious how much you have grown,” Lord Shiva said. After Jayden’s first meeting with him, not too much time had passed after all.
“Are we going to fight here?” Jayden questioned, since there was bound to be destruction to some extent.
“No, I don’t want to disturb all the people living here; let’s move somewhere else,” Lord Shiva spoke. Then he turned around and began to walk.
Jayden followed behind him without saying anything. He was feeling the excitement of the battle already. One thing he was sure of was that it wouldn’t end like the previous time.
“He is called the god of the dead, and countless dead worship him. He is also known as the god of destruction. Do you want to hear more about him?” Anna spoke.
She never asked like this, so Jayden felt that there was probably a lot to discuss.
“Sure, just the important parts,” he replied.
“He is the symbol of destruction, and just his presence alone is enough to destroy and disintegrate things, though he controls his abilities by closing his third eye.
In his rage form, when the third eye is opened, he could make an entire planet vanish in an instant.
He has absolute physical and mental strength, so it would be almost impossible for you to surpass him in those attributes right now, though your physical strength could probably be the same.
He is immortal, has extreme regeneration, is almost invulnerable, and he possesses all-seeing eyes, as you may already know.
There are a lot of others; that’s why he is one of the strongest beings in the universe.” Anna finished her explanation, removing some parts.
“Are you trying to demotivate me? You only told me his strengths; what about his weaknesses?” Jayden asked while staring at the back of the god walking in front of him.
“Probably there aren’t any, and if there are, then I am not aware of them. I have never fought him but have heard quite a lot about him. Fighting him will tell you how you will fare against Zeus.
He is, after all, one of the strongest beings and probably isn’t any weaker than Shiva, though I am not sure.” Saying that, Anna went silent.
“No weakness? If this universe possesses beings like these, then why was just one person from outside of our universe capable of bringing this universe so close to destruction?
I know he had his whole army too, but the stronger beings only fought that one person, right?
So just how strong was he exactly, and the entity who sacrificed himself—was he no match for that being either?” Jayden asked.
The entities outside of their universe were unknown; he could still remember that dream vividly.
“Yes, these beings altogether were incapable of defeating him. There are various factors, like some of our own races had betrayed us at the most unexpected time, and we weren’t fully prepared at that time.
About the being who was easily the strongest in this universe, he had the capability to defeat the person who had come here to destroy everything, but that fight would have caused too much destruction.
Even if he won, he might have been badly injured. Then, if another person from outside the universe attacked, there wouldn’t have been any way to stop it.
So, after thinking of all kinds of possibilities, he did what he felt was right; that’s why no one from outside has been able to trespass into our universe.” Anna explained.
Whenever that entity was involved, her tone took on an emotional tone as if she was still sad about his death.
“Oh yeah, it does make sense, but to create such a big shield that enveloped our entire universe, and if it was strong enough that even who knows how many strong people from outside weren’t able to break it, that person was definitely very, very strong,” Jayden thought.
He was just walking while thinking all this, and their conversation had only taken a few seconds.
*SWOOSH*
A strong gust of wind blew and a blinding light hit Jayden’s face, making him slightly close his eyes. When he opened them again, they were in a completely different place.
The land looked barren, and there wasn’t anything as far as the eye could see. This place was quite far from the Kailash mountain; even the gravity here was much higher.
“Nice place, no one is here?” Jayden spoke as he looked around.
“Yes, I had previously killed all the demons who lived in this place, so it’s completely empty. Even if it is destroyed, it wouldn’t matter,” Lord Shiva spoke as he stood some distance away from Jayden.
Even he knew that this fight would be nothing like the last one; otherwise, he wouldn’t have changed the location. The sky was bright, even though no sun or source of light was visible.
“Are you going to use your full strength?” Jayden asked.
“I can’t use my full power, which is only meant for the destruction of evil, but I will give it my all. Though we need to make sure that we don’t cause too much harm,”
Shiva replied, as the small smile disappeared from his face, replaced by a serious expression.
“Yes, I understand; I too won’t be using my full strength. Let’s do our best,” Jayden replied. He wasn’t planning to fight using any weapon since Andrea was mostly for poison, and he didn’t have any other useful weapon.
“Let’s start,” Shiva spoke. Then he held his trishul horizontally, with the blades pointed towards Jayden. Then he stretched his hand back, taking a posture.
This was the same attack that Shiva used previously on Jayden, and at that time, he wasn’t even able to properly see the attack, let alone react to it.
*WHOOSH*
In the next instant, Shiva launched the trishul towards Jayden. Its speed was much faster than the previous time, creating a deafening sound as it tore through space and flew straight towards Jayden’s head.
The battle had already started. Although this attack was merely to test Jayden’s strength, if he wasn’t strong enough, then Jayden would be severely injured.
Jayden looked at the incoming attack, which seemed as if the light was moving. Its speed kept increasing, tearing through space and leaving behind a void that was soon filled.
Just as the trishul appeared right in front of Jayden’s face, he raised his hand and moved it as fast as possible, as if it seemed to have disappeared.
There were three blades at the top of the trishul. The side ones were slightly curved at the top while the middle was pointed straight; it was extremely sharp.
Jayden’s hand moved faster than the speed of the trishul as he directly held the middle blade. The weapon was carrying a huge force, and after Jayden held the blade, all of the force was applied to his hand.
*BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*
Jayden’s body skidded back two to three centimeters only, and the sound of a loud explosion rang out.
