Inside a room full of darkness, where the silence threatened to consume everything, the light clinking of chains could be heard.
At the center of the room sat a woman with injuries all over her body, which had remained the same over such a long period of time.
No blood or flesh could be seen on her body, which consisted only of bones, skin, and her barely existing organs. One of her eyeballs was missing, while she had closed the remaining eye, as if she had been sleeping for a long time.
Her breathing was slow and steady, her dried lips curved as if the corpse-like woman was smiling. This scene was enough to scare even a grown man.
This jade beauty was none other than Anna Blake, who was enjoying her long-awaited revenge, seeing Zeus being humiliated by Jayden.
Her entire body was bound by chains, making it impossible for her to move around much, but after spending such a long time in this space, she was no longer bothered by any of it.
The space and time of this place were completely separate from the outside world, so she had been staying in this corrosive darkness longer than the time outside.
Her connection with Jayden made it a lot easier for her to stay there, and because of that connection, she was feeling time at the same speed as Jayden, even if her body stayed in that space.
After Anna disappeared from the outside world, the world had almost forgotten her, and she had little idea of things happening outside.
Only through Jayden could she learn about different things, and that’s how she found out that the universal tournament was finally going to take place.
Anna was well aware that this tournament was going to bring extreme changes to the entire universe and even to her. She wasn’t sure what kind of fate awaited her, but there was nothing that she could do.
While Anna was concentrating, she suddenly sensed some presence around her. She knew very well who these beings were.
She opened her eye, and a frown appeared on her forehead. These people were responsible for keeping her here and had even destroyed her family, but even she was not able to defeat them.
She could still remember their appearances as if they had just fought the previous day, even though it had been so many years, and Anna hated them with all her being.
No reply came from the other side. These beings weren’t aware of her connection with Jayden, so Anna pretended to not know anything about the tournament, clearly showing her rage toward them.
Anna didn’t reply. She wanted to kill every single one of them, to give them the pain she and her family had been through, but right now it was just impossible.
The six of them lowered toward the floor, and their figures were finally visible. All of them looked exactly the same, as their bodies didn’t possess any shape or have any kind of appearance.
They would look different in the eyes of different people, and to Anna, they all looked like six walking corpses, their bodies riddled with injuries, the images exactly what she wanted to make them go through.
“Believe me, there will come a day when I am going to laugh over your dead bodies, and it won’t be very far away,” Anna spoke, her voice sounding hoarse while her throat burned even more.
The laughs of the six people sounded in the room, but it slowly became distant, and soon all of them disappeared from there.
Anna gritted her teeth until they almost broke. Seeing those six again reminded her of the time when every single member of her family was killed by them. They didn’t even spare the children, wiping out an entire family.
After a few minutes, she calmed herself down and decided to tell Jayden about these people, since it was time that he knew who were the ones controlling the strings in their universe behind the scenes.
Outside of the house where Jayden was staying on Mount Olympus, Apollo, along with someone else, was floating in the sky, keeping an eye on it.
But luck was not on his side since she had gone away to meet someone and wouldn’t be back for the next few days, and many of his trusted people were either busy or useless for this situation.
So, left with no other choice, he planned to go and watch Jayden’s movements alone. He gave up on the idea of killing him for now, but soon he noticed that someone had actually followed him.
It was none other than his mother, Leto, who was worried about Apollo since he had been acting weird for quite some time now and even got into that argument where Zeus got angry.
Leto had always been protective of her children, and her tales were widespread already. Her love for Apollo and Artemis was stronger than any feeling, and she would stop at nothing to protect them.
So, seeing Apollo in that state, she understood that something was troubling her son and that it was not a small matter, so she decided to get involved too.
Today, she noticed him leaving again and then lingering over a certain house, so Leto could no longer hold back her curiosity and finally decided to ask him about it.
