“Why were you asking me to be careful before telling this?” Jayden asked.
“It was because of the Chronicler. His ability is just as terrifying as the other five. If we are not careful, then he might just find you and know about our connection through your memories.
Even a slight mention might have been dangerous, and Chronicler would have easily been able to go through all your memories. ” Anna said.
“…” Jayden was surprised after hearing that. After all, there are so many beings in the entire universe, and he could pinpoint his locations just by the mention of his name.
That was indeed terrifying; it would be almost impossible to escape from such an enemy who can track someone just because of a piece of memory.
But then another doubt came to his mind.
“Haven’t I gone inside that space-time tunnel or something before? So shouldn’t the Timekeeper be aware of my existence already?
And I keep going to different places, have caused such chaos over in the timelines, and done quite a lot actually. So shouldn’t they already be aware of me?” he questioned.
“If they were aware of you, then all six of them would have already come to you, and you would already be dead, and they would have the Dimensional stone.
Despite getting so much power, the universe put quite a lot of responsibility over them, which they have to complete if they wish to keep that power; otherwise, someone else will be selected to replace them.
And that’s also why they can’t interfere too much with the matters of the world directly.
But those six were greedy, very much so, and they had acted in self-beneficial ways a few times, like when k- killing my family.
This left a flaw over their abilities; they lost a portion of their powers because of that, and taking advantage of those flaws, you were able to stay hidden till now,” Anna answered him patiently.
“Hmmm, makes sense,” Jayden mumbled as he pondered her words.
He could think of reasons why they might have acted in self beneficial ways.
Like when they needed to get the Dimensional stone, those six beings had acted on their own and slaughtered the entire Blake family.
That is not something the universe could accept, and they were surely punished for it.
Even as the protectors and beings who hold the universe together, they don’t have the freedom to do whatever they wish.
But killing the Blake family wasn’t the only time they had acted in opposition to the universe’s wishes, yet they were still unable to obtain the Dimensional stone in the end.
“Still, even with some limitations, it is still almost impossible for anyone in the universe to defeat them, especially when they are together.
Even Zeus or the current you probably wouldn’t be able to kill them if they fought you all at once,” Anna said.
Jayden nodded.
He was still far from peak strength; even though he could destroy entire planets with just a thought, he would still need more to fight those six.
“Hmmm, what do you think my chances would be if I could fully control the Creation skill? And if I absorbed all the divine energy of Zeus?” Jayden asked.
He didn’t know exactly how strong the six people were, but Anna knew them all quite well.
“Actually, even I can’t say anything for sure.
They have also been growing stronger as time passed, so they have probably already surpassed their limits even with the limitations placed by the universe.
But if you can use the Creation skill, which uses the World Tree, that would be a different story.
There’s a high chance you might defeat them. And if it’s one on one, then you would definitely come out on top,” Anna said with confidence.
‘At least I know what I have to do for now, but defeating Zeus won’t be easy either. Anyway, I can worry about that later,’ he thought.
“I think they all should have already reached their limits.
Even the universe won’t allow them to grow any further after a certain point.
That’s why they were so desperately searching for the Dimensional stone, even going as far as breaking the rules and getting punished severely for it,” she added.
Jayden nodded in understanding.
“I guess they must still be looking for that Dimensional stone,” he said.
“Yes, they must be even more desperate.
Since they have already broken the rules of the universe, even after being punished, the universe won’t accept them fully like before, and it must already be looking for new… guardians, six people to replace those six,” Anna continued to speak.
“And they don’t know where they could find this Dimensional stone, but the news about the small piece of the Dimensional stone inside Emma’s body isn’t a secret since the Coven knows about it, right?” she said, directing the conversation toward a certain point.
“Yeah, the Coven leader should also be aware of it, and from what I have heard, he had gone to meet with the people responsible for that tournament of the universe,” Jayden thought as a bad feeling emerged in his heart.
“Yes, you are right. This tournament is set up by those six beings.
There are different reasons behind setting up such a big tournament, but their main objective should be obtaining the Dimensional stone,” Anna said, her tone solemn.
“So, if the Coven leader has gone to meet these guardians or whoever, then he should have already told them about Emma and the tiny piece of stone in her body.” Jayden’s eyes widened at this thought.
If this really is the truth, then Emma is in even higher danger than ever before, and it won’t be difficult for those beings to find her.
But Jayden wasn’t sure if they could locate her inside the Netherworld or if they could actually go inside it.
Still, he wasn’t very confident; after all, those guardians had managed to kill even the Nether Lord, so they must have a way to enter the Netherland, or killing the Nether Lord would have been impossible.
“I don’t think a small piece of that stone would be very useful for them. Do you think they will go after Emma?” Jayden questioned, though he knew the answer.
“Yes, I am sure they will. I don’t know what the deal is between the Coven leader and those people, but you have to be careful about it.
This tournament is going to bring much bigger changes than one can imagine.
The six guardians will also be there in the tournament, and I am sure you won’t be able to escape from it either,” Anna sighed as she spoke.
Jayden fell silent as he digested all the information he had just gotten from her.
His identity was safe for now, but Emma was in danger, and it was impossible to know when and how they would be attacked.
They were the most dangerous and vicious enemies that Jayden had ever encountered and it was impossible to avoid going against them.
“Are those people the ones who trapped you all this time?” he asked after a few seconds.
“…Yes,” Anna replied.
