Jayden stared into the empty air for a while; unknown enemies are the most dangerous, and it is difficult to know when and how they would strike, but at least he knew who they were going to target.
He felt bad for Emma, even though she had managed to survive because of the piece of Dimensional stone, but it had become a curse for her.
She was kidnapped and almost killed by the coven, her father was killed in front of her, she had been traumatized because of those incidents, and the vampires had been trying to catch her ever since.
She was just a small child, but she had to go through so much; even adults would struggle to endure all that.
Jayden just sat in the room and thought for some time, considering any and every kind of possibility, imagining the scenarios through which they could attack Emma, or how they could find her.
His mind was working faster than it ever had, as he sat in silence for over an hour and thought about countless probabilities.
He didn’t want to miss anything; after all, the life of his family was at stake here.
“I guess I will have to speed up my plans a little. My priority is to protect them, and for that, I need to increase my strength,” Jayden mumbled finally, breaking the silence of the room.
He stood up; first, he decided to go back and meet his family, especially Emma.
He had a plan in his mind, which would be his best shot at protecting her.
“I am sorry I can’t help you with anything. Sigh, it’s frustrating to just watch and not be able to do anything,” Anna spoke in a sad voice.
She hated those six guardians the most, but she had just ended up as a puppet in their hands.
“Don’t worry, I’ll do everything to protect her and kill those guardians. It will all be settled in the tournament of the universe.”
Jayden said as he opened a portal to the Nether World, and in the next moment, he walked through it.
Alice, Sasha, and the others had rested for a while, then gone back inside their palaces to train.
They were surprised how well Jayden had selected opponents for each of them; their growth speed had increased several times since they had started training there, especially because of their new and powerful bodies.
When Jayden arrived, he saw that all of them were busy training; only one person was missing.
Xerome was slacking again. It seemed he had gone back to Earth to meet his girlfriend.
Jayden had left a portal open there, connected to Earth, so they could visit whenever they wanted.
“I will meet them all later. First, I need to talk with Emi.” Jayden turned toward the smallest palace there; it even looked cute.
He directly teleported inside the palace and looked at the scene from above.
Currently, Emma was flying around, creating tornadoes that tore the bodies of opponents. She was enjoying the battles quite a lot.
Right now, she floated in the air and created a big dark cloud in the sky, releasing thunderbolts over the pitiful opponent running all over the palace while emitting frightened screams.
But it wasn’t able to escape its fate, and after a while, several bolts hit it, burning it to a crisp, and it died instantly.
Emma laughed a devilish laugh as if copying someone from an anime. Even Jayden was seeing that for the first time.
“Uh… Emi?” Jayden spoke, and Emma froze like someone caught doing something embarrassing. She fell silent immediately and glanced up.
“B-Brother? When did you arrive here?” Emma asked, her face turning bright red. She looked very cute and adorable.
“I just arrived here. How is your training going?” Jayden landed on the ground and caressed her head with a smile.
She finally relaxed as he patted her head.
“The opponents are all weak. Brother, you should give me stronger ones,” she said with a confident expression, raising her nose high.
“My Emi is just too strong; it’s hard to find opponents for you.” Jayden said, then teleported out of the palace along with her.
“Brother, are we going somewhere?”
Emma asked with some excitement in her voice. She was always happy to spend more time with him.
Even though this training was fun, going out with Jayden would definitely be better.
“Yes, there is something very important you need to know. So, are you ready?” Jayden asked in a solemn tone, looking deeply into her eyes.
“… Yes,” Emma nodded seriously; she knew it wasn’t a joke.
Jayden looked towards the other large palaces. He decided to leave before the others came out.
He wanted to explain everything to them all, but he was being careful.
All of the guardians were strong, but Chronicler had a really dangerous ability, so it would be risky to tell everything to his family for now.
He might find them just because of a single memory, and then they would be in great danger. Now Jayden understood why Emma had not told him about it before; she was just trying to protect him.
She only gave him the necessary information most of the time and didn’t say anything that could bring trouble. Jayden felt the same; he didn’t want to put his family in danger.
He created a portal and took in a deep breath. What he was going to do was a big decision; it might turn out dangerous, but this was the best way to protect Emma. So he nodded toward her and gestured for her to enter.
Emma didn’t think twice as she walked into the portal, and Jayden followed inside it. Then the portal disappeared.
She found herself standing in a boundless space, yet all she could see was darkness. Nothing was in sight.
As Jayden walked inside, he saw Emma looking around curiously, and finally, her gaze landed on him.
“Brother, what is this space? I can’t see anything besides you, and I can’t even sense anything,” Emma spoke, her eyes sparkling.
“I will explain it all, but for now, you just need to listen to everything.”
Then he began to explain things slowly and in a less impactful way. Of course, he wasn’t planning on telling her anything about the guardians; that would just put her in more danger.
The first thing he told her about was her relation with the Blake family, the things that happened before her birth, and why her life had been in so much danger.
He explained many things as Emma listened carefully. Even though she was young, she had grown mentally quite a lot by now. Instead of complaining or acting in fear, she was being serious.
“So, you understand everything?” Jayden asked, his tone solemn, her gaze gentle.
Emma nodded. She was still digesting the news about her family; it was a lot to take in.
“Now that the tournament is coming, those people will be more active,” Jayden said, and Emma knew who he was referring to, but she only knew about the leader of the coven.
“What do I have to do?” Emma asked. She understood the situation well.
Jayden felt proud of her. He patted her head again and then began to proceed with his plan.
After a while, Jayden and Emma walked out of that space and came back into the Nether World. It seemed that everyone was about to come out of their palaces.
Emma smiled as if nothing was wrong and they hadn’t had any important conversation; she looked as normal as before.
While Jayden and Emma were chatting, everyone else began to walk out of their palaces, all seeming a little exhausted.
“Husband!” Xiao was the first to come out. She pounced onto him and hugged him tightly; she had missed him a lot after not seeing him for a few days.
Jayden wrapped his arms around her, squeezing her soft body tightly and enjoying her warmth; her body was especially hot after coming out of the training.
“Ah, wait… I’m sweating right now; I might smell bad.”
Xiao had forgotten everything else when she saw him earlier, but she didn’t want to smell bad to him, but Jayden didn’t let go of her body.
“Don’t worry; you smell as sweet as fresh flowers. I love you.” Jayden spoke as he pressed his lips against her soft lips, giving her a short, sweet kiss.
Xiao felt a little embarrassed letting him smell her body in this condition, but she really enjoyed hearing his love-filled words, her heart melting in his embrace.
“I love you too.” Xiao murmured, burying her face into his chest; she felt ecstatic in the arms of her husband.
‘My husband… Hehe, my husband.’ As Xiao called Jayden her own, she felt a tickling in her belly, as if she were falling in love with him all over again.
“You didn’t face any problems in the training, right?” Jayden asked; he could sense the increase in her strength clearly. Very soon, they would all be as strong as the kings of a race.
Even stronger than the goblin or beast king.
“Yes, it’s perfect for me, but I have to finish it as soon as possible so I can spend all my time with you,” Xiao said, closing her eyes and speaking almost like a little girl putting forth her demands.
“Yes, we will be together forever; let’s just get over a few things.” Jayden said as he sensed more people walking out of the palaces.
