“ABSORB”
Just as Jayden used the Demonic Devouring Arts, he felt a huge amount of divine energy rushing into his body.
Unlike normally, it didn’t affect his body directly, but all the energy moved towards the World tree seed inside his body, as it instantly swallowed it all up.
With one hand on his head and the other holding his throat, Jayden continued to absorb energy from Apollo’s body.
He might not be as strong as Zeus, but he was still very strong and could have easily defeated the kings of most races; there was a huge amount of pure divine energy in his body.
Like an endless well, energy kept rushing out from the beaten god’s body, even though he was barely conscious and couldn’t feel anything around him, he felt the gradual decrease in his energy.
He was slowly becoming weaker. Jayden was absorbing the energy from his body, but it was not like he can just generate it back; it would be lost forever.
This feeling of losing his strength frightened Apollo, so despite all the pain and headache, he began to wave his arms around, trying to get himself away from his enemy, but to no avail.
He was regretting following Jayden all the way here. His anger had clouded his judgment.
Despite knowing that Jayden might be stronger than him, he still came here alone.
Since he was unable to speak, he could only pray and beg inside his head.
‘ S- Someone please help, haa help me, I don’t want this. M- Mother, save me. Ughhh, stop it, I’m begging you.
Stooooop, my father will kill you if he knows about this aaaaaaah.’ Apollo kept shouting and threatening in his head, but it had no effect on Jayden.
In the silence of the space, only the light mumbling of Apollo could be heard.
Without holding back, Jayden just absorbed his energy. The seed of the World tree was releasing an aura inside his body, and this aura was removing Jayden’s biggest weakness.
It not only increased his strength but was also affecting his mental strength. He could feel a strong progression in his mental state; this feeling was refreshing.
Without rushing, Jayden devoured Apollo’s energy without any pause. Minutes had soon turned into hours.
After some time, he had taken more than a quarter of his energy.
Jayden noticed that slight cracks had started to appear in the World tree seed. At first, they were barely recognizable, but soon the cracks became bigger and bigger.
“You will be going in a long and deep sleep after this, and by the time you wake up, your father would be in a much worse shape than you.
As for your mother, you might never get to see her again…” he mumbled, feeling that Apollo had stopped struggling.
And his words worked like magic. Apollo began to struggle much harder than before, despite feeling weak and suffering from all the pain.
Jayden felt like it was such entertainment. The feeling of the aura merging with his body, which was released by the World tree seed, was euphoric.
After quite some time, he was once again feeling an increase in his strength.
After a few more hours, he had absorbed almost half of Apollo’s energy as the god constantly drifted in and out of consciousness.
His heart was filled with dread, and he had already started to despair.
Jayden could have completed the entire process much faster, but he was giving time for the seed to be nourished slowly. This divine energy was the perfect food for the World tree.
By the time almost a day had passed, Jayden had absorbed almost all of Apollo’s energy, and now this proud god was extremely weak.
Even though he had not been reduced to the level of humans, now he could be easily defeated by most supernatural beings, but Jayden was not done yet.
The cracks had stretched over the entire seed, and after constantly absorbing the divine energy, the outer layer of the seed had finally broken.
This increased Jayden’s mental strength several times and even affected his physical attributes, making his strength and defense grow stronger.
At this point, he could see a small plant sprouting out of the seed. It was still just eight to ten centimeters in size, but already possessed such a strong aura.
Jayden’s soul and mind were being constantly refined by the small tree that had two green leaves full of life.
It freely and joyfully waved around, enjoying the constant nutrition of the divine energy being provided to it.
But good times always come to an end, and soon Jayden had absorbed almost the entire divine energy from Apollo’s body, leaving him in the weakest state he had ever been.
Even when he was a toddler, he wasn’t this weak, and now not even wounds were healing. He had fallen unconscious and won’t be able to walk for a few years.
Partly because of weakness, but the depression, the usage of the arrow of truth, and injuries also played a big role.
“Hmmm. This feeling, it feels good to be able to grow at such a rapid speed. The World tree is an amazing thing.
If I can absorb Zeus’s divine energy too, then I would most probably be able to bring it to its full length,” Jayden mumbled, as he finally let go of Apollo.
This god was now completely useless, and if he wished to grow back to the same level as he was before, he would have to work hard for hundreds of years unless he finds some shortcut.
“But he will never be able to get that chance. Even though he is not going to wake up for quite some time, I can’t just leave him here, right?” Jayden pondered, while still feeling his strengthened aura.
“Yeah, it would be better if your enemies don’t get their hands on Apollo.
Despite being in such a state, he still had relations with so many strong people, which others might use against you, and that won’t be good,” Anna said, but her voice sounded kind of happy and relaxed.
She loved how Apollo was treated by Jayden. She even wanted to show this scene to Zeus and look at his reaction while watching his son in such a state.
“True, even though my strength has increased, it’s always better to be cautious of the enemy, so I need to hide him in a place where he won’t be found,” Jayden muttered and looked at the unconscious god.
After thinking for a few seconds, he finally found a solution.
Without speaking anything, he created a portal in front of him and then threw Apollo inside it before closing the portal.
“…” Anna observed it but couldn’t understand where he had thrown him to, so she asked in confusion.
“Where did you throw him to? What if those six guardians find him?”
“Don’t worry, he won’t be found by anyone. I have created a rift in the cave of space and time, and thrown him in that space,” Jayden replied as if it was a simple matter.
And although Anna was not as proficient as him now when it comes to space and time, she understood what he did.
It’s like he created a separate timeline where only Apollo existed. There is only so much space, and it will only exist as long as Apollo is there.
It is not impossible for the Timekeeper to find him, but it would be extremely difficult even when he exclusively searches for Apollo. He would never even get to know about it.
This timeline would be perfectly hidden even from the Chronicler.
He won’t be able to find Apollo, at least until he is awake. Even then, he would need the help of others and need to search for a long time.
“Anyway, now that it has been taken care of, I should return to Mount Olympus. They should all be awake by now.”
Jayden said, he had just used his Creation skill, along with his time and space ability to create a separate timeline.
And Jayden was ecstatic since, even after using it, he didn’t feel exhausted, while just using it for a little time would have tired him out, and he would never have succeeded in creating something as complex and massive as a timeline.
