Chapter 330: Florida Man Tries to End His Life, Expresses Desire to Be Reborn as His Grandson
Chapter 330 – Florida Man Tries to End His Life, Expresses Desire to Be Reborn as His Grandson
The dragon dreadnaught taxi sent Leo home. Before they parted, Simba transferred all void leaves and fate crystals to Leo. When Simba was asked, he answered that he had no intention to play with crystals anymore He remained on his ship with his wife and his men as he had other things to do.
Leo returned home and reunited with his wife as usual. Because of the recent activities and the confirmation of his status in the universe, Leo stopped worrying about random ambushers. He wished that he could enjoy living a slow life for the rest of eternity.
…
After Leo had returned, Kishin Douji secretly scanned the universe with his Qi sense and system ability. It was not difficult for him to detect the changes in the trend and Karma Rivers of this universe.
The influx of new souls entered the rivers of reincarnation because of the war. Divine elves, high elves, inferior elves, planet eaters, and phoenixes lost their origins and were forced to forget their past lives.
Kishin Douji was surprised and overjoyed.
“Finally, divine elves are no more. Whoever, the current queen of the divine elf is, she is no longer in power! I can reclaim my throne again!”
Ambition, pride, and greed blinded Kishin Douji. He calculated his plans and future in his mind.
Obliteration? Enslavement? Tortures? He imagined various scenarios that he could do to the divine elf race and their allies. However, as an experienced overlord, he quickly threw away the ambitious thoughts and considered the worst-case scenarios.
‘No, I can’t reclaim my throne. I know that either Priscilla or Planet Devourer reduced Ellen’s forces to that state. If one of them is still alive, they can still destroy me. I have to continue hiding until I get more information.’
Determined to lurk in the shadow, Kishin Douji left Leo’s territory and headed toward the north pole of the planet.
The weather and the temperature were as Kishin Douji had expected – Absolute freezing point. Extreme yin Qi was abundant, and the ice continent looked healthy. Only immortals and yin-specialist cultivators could live there.
As someone from the Oni Race, yin Qi, monster Qi, and miasma were his food. He laughed and erected an ice palace, building his new home. However, he hadn’t realized yet that the entire planet was within Leo’s domain.
.
.
Months went by. The development of the new town achieved its goal.
Local cultivators had no choice but to bow their heads and serve Leo as their lord. Some of them abandoned the dream of being a rogue cultivator because of a certain addiction.
Everybody was addicted to the convenience of a luxurious lifestyle, big houses, and private cultivation rooms in their residences. Everybody who bought a house, a flat, or a mansion could never return to their former lifestyle anymore.
This addition came with a disadvantage. As many cultivators couldn’t afford to pay for the residents, they succumbed to the installment scheme, and they were forced to pay the loan to Leo every month. The monthly installment payment became an issue for the rogue cultivators and merchants. One after another, they failed to pay the bills.
Without a choice, they surrendered their future and bodies to Leo.
Leo’s black company thrived because of the monetary circulation program. The employees helped Leo grow his territory and farmlands. He paid the employees. The employees purchased his items from both shopping malls and paid the loan. Leo got his money back to pay the employees the next month.
Life was good. His territory could self-sustain, and he got more time to play with Esen.
…
One day, Aslan visited Leo and Esen. He reintroduced himself to Esen and revealed who he really was.
Esen was flabbergasted to learn that Leo also had divine elf blood in him. She pouted and complained to Leo.
“I thought you were a chimera monster in human flesh. It turns out you’re a perverted elf!”
Leo laughed and hugged her, “Aren’t you happy that your husband is a descendent of a divine elf, prismatic phoenix, and a bunch of god-know-monsters-my-father-put-inside-me.”
Aslan bitterly laughed. “Not all of them are random monsters, you know. I added so many bloodlines in your body – Overlord Xiaomao’s, Cathulhus, Void Tree’s Saps, Fenrir-”
“Hold up a second,” Leo stopped Aslan when he heard the detail. “What did you put in me again?”
“Oh, do you want me to repeat it? Sure. Divine elf’s bloodline, Overlord Xiaomao bloodline, Cathulhu bloodline, Fenrir Werewolf bloodline, Prismatic-”
“No, not those. There’s something else other than the bloodline.”
“You mean the Void Tree’s saps?”
“…Yeah, that. Also, WHAT. THE. FUCK!?”
Leo stared at his father in shock. He couldn’t believe that his father actually injected tree sap into his blood circulation. He wondered how he survived the experiment.
“HAHAHAHA!” Aslan was unable to suppress his laughter. He wiped his tears. “How else do you think that I made that body superior to the stolen one? What Mao Miaomiao had was an incomplete physique with four bloodlines. Without the Void Tree’s sap and an entity fate crystal as a catalyst, he couldn’t even use 10% of the body’s strength.”
Leo deeply frowned. He regretted that he mutated the Void Tree before he could extract some saps for future alchemy experiments.
Thinking of the Void Tree, Leo recalled that he had so many Void Tree’s leaves. However, because of the recent rapid development and influx of new employees, all alchemy workshops were jam-packed with alchemists-in-training, who would be assigned to new alchemy workshops and factories in the future.
“I should create a private workshop for myself one day.” Leo took a mental note.
Esen also reminded Leo, “You also need to get us a better resident. I’m tired of living on a bus. Also, I have many subordinates. We need a lot of space and courtyards.”
“…I see.”
“A reminder, I should be giving birth in a couple of months. Make sure the new resident has enough room for an infant and the nanny.”
Being a breadwinner for his family was not always smooth and easy. Sometimes, a wife’s simple and reasonable demands could give the husband a headache.
“I’ll keep that in mind.”
Looking at their interaction, Aslan widely grinned. He clapped his hands and informed them of a piece of bad news.
“Leo, Esen. I’m going to enter the reincarnation circle tomorrow.”
“WHAT?!” Leo and Esen widened their eyes and screamed in unison. “WHY?! WHAT HAPPENED?!”
Aslan scratched his cheek. He confessed, “I’ve been leeching Leo’s life force for too long, and it’s bad for my soul. It’s about time for me to reincarnate and cleanse my soul. Otherwise, I might be cursed by the universe’s karma river.”
Leo didn’t understand the laws of this universe. “But you’re an entity. Entities and karmic sovereigns don’t need to reincarnate, right? You’ve become independent from the Karma Rivers!”
Aslan revealed a mischievous smile. He concealed another secret that he couldn’t tell Leo and Esen.
“…Not really. When we’re tired of our current life, we can always reduce ourselves to any local karma river and reset our lives. Well, unlike the others, we get to retain our previous life’s memory and quickly recover our former cultivation base.”
“Oh, it’s like a “NEW GAME+” thingy?”
“Correct. Also, if I have any fate crystals in my soul, I can bring them along with me. If I have an inventory system, all items in the inventory go along with me too! Isn’t that exciting?”
Leo paused for a long time. He gave his father a meaningful look.
“You sound like you want to quit your job and ditch me.”
“EXACTLY!”
“SCRAM, YOU DAMN LAZY BASTARD! YOU AIN’T GONNA GET YOUR VACATION ANY TIME SOON!”
Leo kicked Aslan out of the bus and shut the door. Aslan laughed and left obediently.
After his father had left, Leo sat on a couch and rested his forearm on his forehead. With a heavy sigh, Leo complained.
“He’s a damn troll. I bet he just wants to mess with me again.”
Esen sat next to Leo and giggled, “You two sure are close. I envy you.”
Leo hugged Esen. As the topic was related to her family, Leo wondered what Esen’s father was doing. He thought of Kishin Douji.
“Should I call your father to visit you once in a while?”
Esen pouted and shook her head, “I don’t consider that Oni as my father. He denied my existence, and he didn’t even help me when I was in jail.”
“…Right.”
Leo abandoned the thought. He closed his eyes and enjoyed the cuddling.
None of them realized that Aslan was serious. The next day, the fisherman golem turned into a regular stone statue and stopped moving forever.
.
.
The parting of Aslan became a huge news of Leo’s domain. As the golem was a member of Leo’s Four Heavenly Guardians, it shook the local’s morale.
Aslan’s statue was moved to the rooftop of the parking lot per Leo’s request. As for the son, he knelt in front of the fisherman statue, biting his lower lips in anger and frustration.
Leo was saddened by the development. He regretted that he never treated Aslan nicely.
“I’m so stupid.” Leo lamented. “Yeah, the old scholars said ‘You only realize the importance of someone when they are gone’. They are absolutely correct. Why didn’t I realize this?”
Esen stood behind Leo, watching over the depressed husband. Unable to come up with a consolation, Esen felt helpless in this situation.
Behind the wife, Leo’s disciples, Ivy, Beatrice, Marc, Wu Buyi, and others stood in silence. They learned about Aslan’s true identity later, and they were shocked as well. No one dared to utter a word.
For 48 days, Leo knelt in front of Aslan’s statue in silence, thanking his father for saving his life and begging his father for forgiveness for his past mistakes.
On the 49th day, Ivy mustered her courage to speak to Leo as a new event forced her to. She knelt next to Leo and woke him from the trance.
“My lord! Her Majesty… It’s urgent!”
“!!!” Hearing about Esen, Leo panicked. “What happened to her?!”
Ivy was glad that Leo had come back to his senses. Without saying anything, she guided him to the eastern hotel, where Dongfang Mei, Xu Nuan, and the girls had built a hospital nearby. They entered the building and stopped in front of a room with two large glass doors.
Leo didn’t remember building this hospital, but he didn’t question anybody. He looked at Ivy, “What happened here? Where is my wife?”
Ivy wryly smiled and pointed at the signboard in front of the room.
[Obstetrics and Gynecology]
Again, Leo deeply frowned. These words were modern medical terms, and they shouldn’t have existed here.
Ivy read Leo’s expressions and thoughts like a book. She explained, “Some of Molg girls purchased medical books from the bookstore and decided to put some of the medical knowledge to practice. Well, they built this place to treat commoners and mortals. As for this ward, it specializes in childbirth and women’s disease.”
“Ah… I see.”
Leo finally figured out how this place resembled modern hospitals. It seemed that the random books in the bookstore featured modern medical technologies and knowledge.
“Wait a minute! Childbirth, you say?!”
Ivy giggled, “Yes. Her Majesty is in the room. The doctors are helping her at the moment.”
“Dumbass! Do you think a freaking sage needs help for a simple childbirth?! Something is wrong here!”
Ivy wryly smiled and gestured Leo to enter the room, “Please.”
“…”
Leo entered the room and found four female Molgs surrounding his pregnant wife. They shared their Qi with Esen and monitored her condition.
When everybody saw Leo, they panicked.
“Y-Your Majesty!”
Leo silently walked toward Esen who rested on a hospital bed and sweated profusely. Despite the pain, she smiled at him.
“Dear, my water broke.”
“Don’t say anything. I’m here.” Leo held Esen’s hand and looked at the doctors.
The Molgs nodded and proceeded with their treatment. Leo also provided his Qi to nourish his wife.
Strangely, the delivery process was slow. The child who was supposed to come out easily required a lot of the mother’s effort.
Leo scanned Esen’s stomach and noticed that the child was bigger than a regular infant. He detected a pair of wings on its back, which hindered the delivery. In addition, the infant already had a cultivation base, and he was born an immortal.
Giving his wife a helping hand, Leo created spiritual threads, which couldn’t be touched by physical objects and life forms. A thousand strings entered Esen’s stomach and wrapped around the infant.
Carefully, Leo used the spiritual strings around the infant so that the wings wouldn’t get in the way. Then, he guided the child to come out.
With Leo’s help, the boy came out safe. Esen was also relieved.
The nurses behind the doctors rushed over and supported the baby. They tended the umbilical cord and raised the infant upside down.
“It’s a boy!” The nurse cheered and gently tapped the boy’s butt.
Instead of crying like a newborn baby, the boy widened his eyes and looked around. When he saw Leo and Esen, the boy obnoxiously grinned. Strangely, he was capable of sending a sound transmission message.
Both husband and wife heard a familiar voice in their mind.
“What’s up, bitch.”
That was Aslan’s voice!
“…”
Leo and Esen’s expression turned dark. The former silently snatched the baby from the nurse and walked toward the window. Esen shook her head and deeply sighed.
“Don’t kill our son.”
Leo clicked his tongue, “Let me have a father-and-son talk.”
“Sure. Remember, don’t kill him.”
“I know.”
Leo grinned and looked at his supposed-to-be son. Aslan looked back at his “Father” and coughed out water from his lungs.
“Oh, you’re choking, son. Here, let me help.”
Leo laughed and flew out of the window. He twirled the boy and yeeted him to the sky.
