[Title: Woodland Warlord]
[The Woodland Territory is now your Territory. The land is your land, the rain is your rain, its blood is your blood]
[Woodland Curse Seal: Suppress the stats of any target within your Territory to 50%]
[Quasi King Crown: The Territory obeys you]

With a thought, two changes occurred to Sylas’ body.
First was the shimmering seal that appeared in front of his forehead. It looked almost like the emblem of an Emperor, swimming around with all sorts of complex Runes and grafts that gave it an ancient and oppressive feel.
This was none other than the Woodland Curse Seal. When he activated it, he could use it in two ways. The first was to suppress those in his presence, and the second was to implant a Curse into the body of a target.
With the latter method, the person could still flee, but every time they stepped into his Territory, he would not only sense it, but their stats would also plummet.
The second change was the flickering half crown above his head. When Sylas felt it, it was like a surge of power was coursing through his veins.
Much like the Quasi King beasts, he didn’t experience any changes to his stats, and yet it still felt like everything was resting in the palm of his hands, waiting for him to take control.
The Aether listened to his commands more fluidly, he could cast Skills faster and with better precision, and he felt like his Rune Soul had been pumped with steroids, displaying a power that was easily tens of times better than it was in the past.
He felt like so long as he was in his Woodland Territory, he would even be capable of using the Runes on the scorpion armor with much greater ease.
Sylas made a mental note that if he wanted to practice Runes, the best place to do so would certainly be right here. It was like everything he wanted to learn from the world was whispered right into his very ears.
‘So this is what it feels like to be one of those beasts… if I were to fight the spider queen in this Territory, I wouldn’t struggle nearly as much even if I didn’t use the Curse Seal.’
Sylas exhaled a breath.
He didn’t just gain these things either. He could feel that some of the pressure the system had placed on him had loosened a bit. That meant that he had gained a Merit, and not a normal one either.
Killing the spider queen was only worth a Hollow Merit if he was correct, so he hadn’t felt much of a change. But for there to be such a great change now, it could only mean that he had at least earned a True Merit just now, and that was huge.
Unfortunately, he would need 99 more True Merits before he could offset just one Silver Demerit. He had a long way to go before this monkey was off his back.
But he wasn’t done yet.
…
Sylas stood in the third and last System City of his Territory, having already conquered and sacrificed the other two for 2,000,000 Free Experience points.
He had even more freedom as the Woodland Warlord than he ever did as the City Lord. Not only could he freely come and go in this Territory as he pleased, but he could likewise bend and twist the rules to his liking as well.
In the previous two System Cities, he had just casually swiped their tax money, and not even the system could stop him. What good was their tax money if he was going to liquidate the System City anyway for Free Experience points?
Now, he had over 20 million coins to his name and a Nexus to peruse through.
The items in the Nexus weren’t any different than the ones he had already seen in the other System Cities, so he didn’t bother to go to a place he had been before and just went directly to where he would find a Common Evolution Stone.
Luckily, he managed to find several, but the prices were eye-watering.
A Common Evolution Stone cost over 10 million. A Bronze one, which he might end up needing for his next Class upgrade, was ten times that. And a Silver one, the last Grade available here, was worth a hundred times that.
Sylas shook his head. If he could help it, he wouldn’t add much more to his affinities. The Woodland Spider Queen was too good to miss out on, and he was also running out of time. But there was no way he would have a billion coins by the time he needed a Silver Grade Evolution Stone, let alone the fact he would still need a Gold and Legendary one beyond that.
Sylas directly traded for the Common Evolution Stone and finally got the window he was looking for.
