Kyle found himself in a predicament but it wasn’t anything he couldn’t get himself out of but for a second, he lost sight of Ella.
She was no longer in the boot with Jane and it was clear that Calista was willing to fuck him right there and then if he wanted to.
Kyle broke away from her before smirking.
“If I were that easy, everyone would have had a piece of me…” Kyle boasted and Calista couldn’t believe this was the same man who was working as a cashier a few weeks back.
Now he had her wrapped around his fingers and she didn’t want to break free.
Calista smiled but her girlfriends soon returned with drinks in their hands.
Kyle heaved a loud sigh of relief, he could finally leave the area and return to Jane.
That was his concern right now and even though he would like for both of his worlds to be kept separate, what was the worst that could happen if they did come together?
Emotions and feelings are silly things, they make even the smartest of people make ridiculous decisions and compromises.
A man stays with his cheating partner and vice versa because they are already too emotionally invested to let go.
Was that why the affection bar was there? So he could see how emotionally invested they were and thus, how he could treat them?
Kyle was beginning to realize that all these features given to him by the system not only helped him sustain his harem and wealth but also made it possible for him to know what decisions to make regarding it.
Did his system predict something like that would happen? That couldn’t be right.
Kyle knew he might be giving this too much thought but there was nothing that could be done regarding it.
He returned to Jane but as he was so was Ella, Ella returned at the same time.
“What timing,” Kyle said, looking at her hands, he noticed that she was holding two glasses of water.
“I’m surprised to see you here,” Ella pointed out, handing Jane a glass of water.
They sat at the opposite of Jane, leaving the drunken lady in the middle.
“Well, what can I say, I had to check out what the hype was about but I’m more surprised to see Jane here,” Kyle said, parting her hair behind her ear while helping her with the glass of water in her hand.
She needed to sober up but this was good for her, they both knew that Jane needed to take a break from the reality of life.
“She told me that you looked after her, thank you,” Ella quickly showed her gratitude.
“She isn’t just your responsibility anymore so there is no need to thank me besides, what sort of man would I be if I let something happen to her in a place that belongs to me,” Kyle knew the consequence of little lies.
Certain lies couldn’t be sustained, especially from people in his daily life.
This was one of them so he decided to come clean.
“I suspected as much when I saw Jane here,” Ella didn’t sound surprised by this revelation.
Kyle knew that it would be obvious if someone paid enough attention like Ella did.
The signs would always be there but Ella didn’t seem to mind this as she was still getting paid by the end of the dead.
People have used their connections to get ahead in life for so long, why shouldn’t they enjoy the same benefit?
Kyle’s agency might be the real deal and this gave her exposure, it was packed.
“You are perceptive, I give you that. Do you want to stay and enjoy the show or do you want to call it a night?” Kyle asked.
He knew that there was no way she wouldn’t be tired but more importantly, he needed Jane to be alright and this wasn’t the environment a person in her state should be in.
“I think I will call it a night. I need to catch some sleep and I also want to thank you for everything you have done. Not just for me, but for Jane as well,” Ella showed her gratitude.
“Hahaha! You don’t act how you look, aren’t goths meant to be cruel people?” Kyle questioned and Ella chuckled at this ridiculousness.
“Of course not! That is a stereotype!” Ella barked.
“They did get one thing right though…” Kyle asked. This question drew her in because she wanted to know what else he heard about them.
“And what is that?” Ella questioned with an arched brow.
“They are beautiful. Now come on, let’s go,” Kyle said but Ella couldn’t contain her smile.
The way Kyle continued the conversation made it impossible for her to backtrack on the conversation.
“S-Sure! Wait, shouldn’t you stay and enjoy the opening of your club?” Ella questioned, she didn’t know why she was stuttering.
It was a simple harmless compliment that she heard almost daily but this took her off guard.
“Nate will handle it from here and I can’t enjoy the rest of the night if I’m not sure about you both getting home safely. I can’t even trust an Uber to do the job,” Kyle was stern.
The way he conveyed the message, she knew that there was no changing his mind.
Kyle didn’t mind taking them back home even if it would ultimately be an inconvenience to him, there was nothing that could be done because their safety was his priority.
He held Jane’s waist, she wasn’t black-out drunk so that was a good thing as he walked them to his car. Ella grabbed her bag and took a final sip from the drink on the table.
It was expensive shit, there was no way she was leaving without it because when she left, the bottle had magically disappeared from the table.
But unlike the other ladies who didn’t spot Kyle when he was Calista, Calista caught Kyle leaving the nightclub with two women.
And respond accordingly, thank you
