The grotesque beast let out a low growl, displaying its readiness to attack.
“SHADOW LIMBS!” a massive amount of goo was suddenly sent toward Stark, which, just as before, transformed into a giant hand that wanted to grab him.
‘Aura Smash!’ the clone immediately answered back, sending two fists at it.
But…
“DEVOURING DARKNESS!” a mouth suddenly appeared on the hand, eating both attacks.
‘What the actual fuck,’ this was becoming nonsensical, and Stark frankly hated that monster, much more than any other monster he had seen before.
And no, it’s not because its black (lol).
The fact that it could swallow him and end his life so easily, with ho chance to be revived even with his [Chosen One] talent frankly angered him, and the fact that it could completely control its body like that felt unfair.
‘It must have a weakness though…’ he clearly remembered reading this panel, which said that there is ALWAYS a way to kill a monster without its HP reaching 0.
~BOOM~
[The Purgatory Shadow took the hit in your place]
The shadow of himself appeared from the ring and deflected the attack, but…
~FWISH~
The hand suddenly turned back toward Stark, rushing back at him.
‘They have better control over it since they merged…’ Stark grunted as he quickly thought of a way to defeat the monstrous creature.
He avoided the hand, but it would come again, and again, AND AGAIN.
Touching it wasn’t an option either because of the massive mouth.
‘Think Stark… THINK…’
They had also sent a long trail of goo toward his clone, which was also occupied as it needed to avoid them all.
This battle truly seemed unwinnable.
And that was what Stark believed, until…
~FWISH~
He heard the sound of an [Arrow of Sierra] being sent toward him, and so he instinctively crouched down to avoid it.
But…
~BAM~
The arrow hit the mouth of the shadow stalker’s elongated limb.
And suddenly…
The arrow exploded and the white mist began to surround the ‘Shadow Stalker Trio’s’ limb.
Sensing the danger, the original body immediately cut off the limb it had sent, knowing that keeping it connected to the original would be instant death
And after only a few seconds… the black goo limb began to turn white, its surface being taken over by the perk of the arrow, and convulsing repeatedly as if it was being taken over by an unknown force.
‘So it also works on monsters…’ Stark’s eyes widened.
He had found it, the weakness of this monster.
The convulsing limb writhed and twisted, until it some sort of white glass crystal began to take it over, and with a loud CRACK, it suddenly exploded.
‘Humans transform into monsters… but monsters explode…’ Stark smiled.
It meant that if he ever touched it with a single arrow… it would die, or at least be stopped long enough for him to use [Heaven’s Wrath].
“Spatial Inventory…” he mumbled, and then… he took out the two arrows he had grabbed from it.
He sent one of them toward his clone, who grabbed it, inspecting it, while he kept the other one in his hands, holding it like a knife.
Trying to throw at the monster was a bad strategy since it could easily morph its body, but if he managed to stab it inside its body… it would be game over.
The monster’s (many many) eyes widened in shock as it registered the effectiveness of the arrow, but it quickly recovered its composure: all it needed to do was not get hit.
But the clone and Stark wouldn’t let it do that easily.
~FWISH~
The clone suddenly threw the arrow toward the ‘Shadow Stalker Trio’, not caring about the strategy Stark thought of.
But no… it wasn’t doing anything reckless, after all it had Stark’s intelligence.
“MORPH,” the monster immediately created a giant hole in its body to let the dangerous arrow pass through.
But of course it wouldn’t be easy.
“AURA SMASH!” the clone sent two fists at the monster, and even though it would be dumb under normal circumstances…
~BOOM, BOOM~
“-23726! -21827!” the punches actually hit since the monster was too busy morphing its body to avoid the deadly arrow.
‘I get it now…’ Stark smiled.
But of course, the arrow the clone had sent hit the surface of a tree and exploded into white mist, meaning he didn’t have anymore.
Or did he?
~FWISH~
An arrow came rushing toward the clone from above, and… he grabbed the handle using his speed, meaning that he had yet another one to throw at the STRONG monster.
Clones do not fear death since they know that they are clones, meaning that it actually had the guts to do things even the real Stark wouldn’t do.
Basically… the entity that was throwing these arrows at them was effectively giving them a chance to survive.
‘Infinite arrow glitch,’ Stark smiled as he understood why his clone threw that precious arrow so easily now.
“I said I would beat you in 5 attacks,” he smiled as tightened the grip around the arrow, “Give me just one!”
The clone immediately sent another arrow toward the monster, immediately scaring it.
“DOUBLE ASSAULT,” and then both of them activated one of their legendary skills.
The ‘Shadow Stalker Trio’ yet again morphed its body to avoid the arrow, but without wasting time, sent dozens upon dozens of limbs toward Stark’s clone as it feared it would damage him again.
But…
“I won,” Stark mumbled as he now stood right behind the monster, which had completely ignored him, both because [Double Assault] made him too fast, but also since the Shadow Stalker targeted the person that sent the arrow.
And so…
~PIERCE~
The [Arrow of Sierra] Stark was holding pierced the monster’s main body, and the reaction was immediate: the white mist began to enter the goo, and after a short while, the black goo began to turn white, restraining the monster as it couldn’t move well anymore.
And so without wasting time…
Stark’s clone’s hand began to shine as it drew a circle at the monster’s location, it smiled at the monster as its dozen of eyes and limbs were now too slow to even reach it.
It was truly fucked.
‘…’ the clone kept smiling as it hit its palm with its other hand’s fist, making it shine with a crimson aura.
“HEAVEN’S WRATH!” the sparkle in the sky appeared, and the crimson beam began to power up.
‘…’ the ‘Shadow Stalker Trio’ looked up, unable to avoid the attack since its body was being taken over by that shitty mist.
It knew it was fucked, no matter what it did.
