Stark decided to immediately check out the new legendary skill he had gotten before doing anything else, after all… it was yet another skill that would allow him to get stronger.
…
[Skill: Dodge Control]
[Type: Legendary]
[Level: 1]
[Description:] For exactly 15 seconds, your aura takes over your body and allows you to bend it in any way it needs to, making you able to dodge any and every attack that comes your way, no matter how fast or unavoidable it is.
[Note: Basically, you can dodge anything for 15 seconds, like any attack, even from a level 999 classifier]
…
‘…’
This was insane, absolutely insane.
15 seconds of perfect invincibility is too overpowered, no matter how much you think of it.
Of course, the time frame was low, but it was still 5 seconds higher than even [Double Assault], which had saved him many times before.
Plus, if he could dodge and somehow counter-attack his enemy, it would surely benefit him…
But before checking out the second panel that appeared… Stark decided it would be better to see his status window as it had been awhile and also assign the 8 skill points he had to something.
‘Status Window…’ he mumbled, and the giant panel appeared before him.
…
[Level:] 35
[Health:] 14500
[Bloodline:] Human
[Classes:] Domination; Alchemist
[Talent:] Chosen one
[Attributes:] Strength 1821; Speed 2012; Mind/Soul 2148; Stamina 1490; Defense 1564
[Skills:] Spatial Inventory; Class Wheel; Perception; Domination lv15; Focus lv10; Aura Smash lv10; Clone Frenzy lv5; Invincible Dodge lv2; Double Assault lv5; Crimson Spears lv1; Heaven’s Wrath lv1; Alchemist lv3; Potion Crafting lv3; Target Manipulation lv1; Dodge Control lv1
…
His skills number was getting strangely high, and he did wonder if it wouldn’t take up an entire page by the time he reached level 100…
[Skill Points: 8 Available]
But for now… Stark sat back down on his bed and scratched his chin: he needed to think how to place his skill points perfectly.
After all it was something that would determine his entire future, so of course this time Stark was serious and actually took time to decide-
‘Yep, I’m taking those,’ he nodded after a few seconds and clicked on the skills he wanted to upgrade.
[You have upgraded ‘Invincible Dodge’ to level 5!]
[You have upgraded ‘Clone Frenzy’ to level 10!]
He had had the choice to upgrade either [Double Assault] or [Clone Frenzy], but when thinking about all his previous fights, the former wasn’t really used much except for urgent cases, while the latter was almost always used, making it an essential skill to upgrade.
And those upgrades could only mean one thing… NEW PERKS!
A crimson light enveloped Stark as not two, but three panels surrounded him for his skills’ new perks.
…
[Skill: Invincible Dodge lv5]
[New Perk: Perfect Dodge]
[Description:] What you did up until now were normal dodges, but if you somehow manage to activate this skill at the microsecond before an attack collides with you… then you will activate the ‘perfect dodge’ perk: the world will turn gray and time will slow down for everyone but you, allowing you not only to check your surroundings for a few seconds, but also have more chances to counter.
[Note:] You won’t be able to move your body during the ‘perfect dodge’ effect, it will still be slowed down, it is your mind on the other hand that will be normal.
…
‘Oh~’ Stark grinned, this was extremely interesting.
Of course, there was a big risk in doing that as waiting right before an attack hit to activate it gave Stark less leeway and also increased his odds of just being hit and dying with a single bad timing.
‘All I need is to upgrade [Focus] to make it better, though…’ but he already had a solution to such a problem, and he was already confident that he could do it without much problems.
Even more so after an intensive training inside the ‘Memories Museum’.
In the end, he would just need to test it out…
Then he moved to the right, which were the panels for the [Clone Frenzy] skill as it seemingly got two perks instead of only one.
…
[Skill: Clone Frenzy lv10]
[New Perk: Three Clones]
[Description:] I mean… it’s in the name, but basically you can summon three clones instead of two.
[Flaw:] The more clones you summon, the less power they will have as you need to share your aura with them, and it’s not unlimited.
…
‘…’ Stark had expected this, so he just moved to the second perk.
…
[Skill: Clone Frenzy lv10]
[New Perk: HP Transfer]
[Description:] You can sacrifice your own HP to gift it to one of your clones (and only one), thus granting them the ability to possibly survive another hit and not instantly die by any attack.
[Flaw:] Doing that will make you lose your own HP while gifting it to your clone, making it extremely risky.
…
‘This means that the clones are not limited to 1HP anymore if I gift them my own…’ Stark laughed, this was interesting.
What if he gave them the entirety of his HP and just kept himself at one…?
Nah, it would be dumb to do that as in most of his recent battles he always received some kind of damage… and he always gets one-shotted by any powerful attack anyway, making this skill pretty worthless in most situations.
‘Well… it depends, it’s always a plus anyway…’
And thus, Stark could finally move to the final panel, the one that was beside the card one.
And when he looked at it, his face turned cold.
[15 levels left until the needed level for second ‘Domination Trial’ is reached, have fun!]
[7/10 classifiers have reached the needed level, be quick or else when everybody but you reaches level 50, you will still be teleported!]
[Basically… once the ninth classifier reaches level 50, the last one will be teleported no matter what their level is]
‘HUH?’ the doppelgängers in his mind hadn’t told him that rule?!
‘Shit, SHIT, SHITTT…’ Stark was thinking deeply, his eyes burning with aura as a vortex was forming in them.
This was bad, really bad.
As proven before, Domination Trials take into account the fact that the [Domination] class deals much more damage, and so it gives more powerful bosses than normal classifiers can deal with.
Meaning that a 15 level difference would be the end of him if he tried to enter it.
The moment the ninth classifier reaches level 50, then he would be teleported to the domination trial, no matter how far he was from it.
Maybe this was a punishment to the classifier that was slacking off while thinking that they would be fine?
But in the end… it only meant one thing…
‘You can’t escape the Domination Trial,’ he slightly laughed, ‘I was going to enter it no matter what I tried…’
