“Is this me? Is this my face? Unbelievable.”
A seventeen-year-old stood in front of the mirror mounted on the wardrobe, touching his face in astonishment. You could see his surprised expression reflected in the mirror.
The young man had a round face, sky-blue eyes, and slightly long blond hair that reached his shoulders. Overall, he was quite handsome.
He was wearing sky-blue pajamas, apparently chosen to match the color of his eyes, possibly bought for him or by himself.
The boy looked around the room and realized he was inside a spacious and beautiful bedroom. Honestly, he could say the room he was currently in was the size of his previous home where he used to live.
He walked over to the bed and sat down, pondering what was happening to him
“How did this happen? The last thing I remember is going to bed for some rest after studying intensely for my university specialization exams. But how did this happen to me?”
Before the boy could react or finish his thoughts, he felt something hit his head from within, causing him to spasm throughout his body.
He collapsed onto the bed, staring at the ceiling. The pain he felt in his head was unlike anything he had ever experienced before in his life. He was in agony and wanted to scream at the top of his lungs, but found his mouth unresponsive, unable to move it.
To add to his misery, he felt like his tongue weighed a ton. Suddenly, it felt like a million ants were eating at his brain from the inside, to the point where he wanted to cry. The only thing he wished for was to die or lose consciousness just to end the pain in his head.
Unfortunately, he did not lose consciousness or anything else; instead, the pain inside his brain only intensified. His nose started bleeding, and the pain didn’t stop but grew stronger, making him wish for death repeatedly.
Tears suddenly began to flow from the boy’s eyes, but these tears were tears of blood. The bloody tears and the bleeding nose made the bed sheets turn red near his head.
The boy began to feel faint, not because of the pain but due to the blood loss caused by his bloody tears and nosebleed.
Gradually, the boy succumbed to unconsciousness, smiling a relieved smile that expressed his gratitude for losing consciousness
Two hours later,
The boy woke up again, very groggy. All that came out of his mouth was, “Haaaaah.”
He got up from the bed and stood in front of the mirror again, touching his face once more. “So, I died in my sleep because I pushed my body beyond its limits after studying continuously for three days for the spring exams.”
The boy sighed and returned to the bed. “But what surprises me the most is that I’ve been reborn into this world-a world based on a fictional novel called ‘The Emperor’s Heir.'”
The boy looked at his hands and smiled a short-lived smile. “And I’ve been born into the body of the adopted son of the Gard family, named Arthur Maximilian Gard.”
The newly named Arthur couldn’t help but laugh.
His laughter was ironic; he knew very well that he had exhausted himself studying, but he did not expect to die because of that, let alone be reborn into the body of a minor character mentioned only once in a fictional story he read during his teenage years in his previous life.
Arthur Maximilian Gard was a minor character mentioned once in the fictional novel “The Emperor’s Heir.” He was adopted by the Gard family, the third most powerful family in the Wind Kingdom, albeit close in power to the second family, the Alphos family.
Arthur was a boy adopted by James Gard, the head of the family, who had mysteriously died four years ago.
The only people who knew Arthur was adopted were James Gard and his wife, Serene Gard, or as Arthur referred to her, Arthur’s mother.
One of the reasons James adopted Arthur was that Serene could no longer bear children after giving birth to Alice Gard, the heir of the Gard family.
The only person who knew Arthur’s true origins and his real parents was James, and that knowledge disappeared with his death.
The only time Arthur was mentioned in the novel was in the arc that spoke of Alice’s story. Unfortunately, Arthur was only mentioned once.
Arthur had committed suicide a few days after discovering by chance that he was not a member of the family, which caused him depression, and he isolated himself in the northern section of the Gard family palace.
A few days later, Arthur committed suicide. The novel’s author didn’t delve into Arthur’s feelings or how it affected him. He ended his role in five lines and moved on to the next, despite indicating that Alice was affected by Arthur’s death because they were very close to each other.
The pain he felt in his brain that put him in that condition was Arthur’s memories and some of his feelings. Arthur knew that the previous owner of the body had not accepted that he had been adopted. Arthur also knew the strange feeling he felt in his head before he committed suicide.
Arthur smiled a weak smile. The problem wasn’t that he didn’t want to be reborn in another world full of magic, supernatural powers, and different races. The problem was that he didn’t know anything about this novel, apart from the initial 200 chapters he read.

At first I was going to make it Leon’s first life and make it look like he read the novel in his fantasy world.
But I saw that it was illogical and unnatural, so I made it his second life, while his first life was just a normal person. The idea had been killing me for a while, and we finally reached this part.
I’m glad we were able to get through to the second volume. You might think the novel has gotten complicated, but once you get out of the second volume, the picture will become clearer.
The second volume will be limited to 25 to 30 chapters and we will move on to the third volume. We will certainly complete the second volume in the future, but the arrangement requires that the second volume be completed after the third volume.
