Chapter 1082: REVENGE MATCH, TRICLOPS!
‘Wait a minute…Screamira, was it?’
[That’s the name, don’t wear it out.]
‘Are you sure it’s a good idea for me and Zhen Hai to try and fight them? I’m just doing a quick check and I’m as strong as Grandmaster right now with your help and-‘
[Two things: One, we’re only running distraction for the time being and determining why these guys are running away as opposed to fighting. Namely the former.]
‘Oh…okay, I guess that means we’ll get some form for reinforcement later…what about the second point?’
[Chaos is known as one of the most powerful equalizers in battle for a reason. You’ll understand why once we make contact with our opponent…in about three…]
…Two
‘So…what’s the plan here?’
[Intercept the escaping bastards, maybe slice off their limbs and/or head if we get the chance, win.]
‘Yeah, alright.’
[Oh, also, don’t share your identity with them.]
‘What? Why?’
[It’ll be funnier that way.]
‘Eh?’
…One…
“I still think we could have…wait…Buzza. Gao Dau. Does [Chaos] exposure make me more reckless on top of talking more casually?”
“Yes, why?”
“Is that why Zhen Xun Tian is such an annoying bitch?!”
“Partially, the rest is just…her.”
“That makes too much sense.”
Gao Shen Yuan, Buzza and Gao Dau were flying as fast as they could away from both the Storm Queen’s Tomb and the city of Undertow.
This wasn’t because they were defeated and wanted to turn tail to fight for another day. Rather, it was because they have already secured their objectives and didn’t need to do anything further.
The whole reason for the Fallen to attack Undertow in the first place was to simply secure the means to empower their matriarch with the power of [Chaos]. Albeit, not in the same manner as how Buzza empowered the Grafted or how Zhen Xun Tian received her powers.
Rather, Buzza had a hypothesis in regards to how [Chaos] flowed from a Lord to their subordinates and wondered if it was possible to-
“Hold up,” Gao Dau suddenly paused mid-flight. “Why am I only now sensing something coming towards-”
[SURPRISE, BITCH!]
Before Gao Dau could fully comprehend what he was sensing, a familiar feeling bronze green puppet dressed in a purple cloak and top hat had struck him like an anaconda attacking it’s prey.
That would’ve been the cue for Buzza and Gao Shen Yuan to go and assist their beleaguered ally, but that wasn’t possible at the moment.
Because before they could even attempt to do just that, they were suddenly attacked by two other warriors.
[Cosmic Cutter!]
[Skull Crash!]
Gao Shen Yuan was forced to block as a masked man wearing armor with a star motif attempted to cut her head off with a kick while Buzza had to push back against a rotund masked man attempting to smash him into pieces with a giant boar’s skull.
Making matters worst, both of these attacks were loaded with [Chaos]. [Chaos] that felt remarkably similar to the Kaijin Lord they had just fought, but also incredibly different. Needless to say, they were annoyed.
“Who the hell are you guys? Actually, where the fuck did you two come from?!”
“Fuck you, you don’t get to know. And your mother’s bedroom!,” the two masked warriors responded without missing a single beat.
Gao Shen Yuan looked visibly shocked and insulted for a couple of moments before switching to abject rage.
“I WILL RIP YOUR SPINES OUT THROUGH YOHR NOSES.”
…
[Ha! Nice.]
‘Please don’t tell me we have to distract them for too long.’
[Probably a minute or so at most.]
‘Cool…also, was it good to let Springerdermain go at it alone against that three-eyed guy?’
[He needs this revenge match.]
‘Fair enough…wait, revenge match?’
…Speaking of Revenge…
[You…mother…fucker…]
[Bitch, I wouldn’t touch your mother with a ten foot pole if she was anything like you!,] Springerdermain taunted back as he continued to push against Gao Dau.
Due to the angle in which he was being tackled, the sheer velocity behind it and the overwhelming amount of [Chaos] in the attack, Gao Dau was unable to focus enough energy into his arms to retaliate without compromising the defense around his torso.
Which is why this flight ended with Gao Dau being slammed into a city street after Springerdermain eventually launched himself backwards using his spring-like body.
And as every action has an opposite and equally painful reaction, Gao Dau was launched directly into the city streets below the two, and forced to brake himself using the pavement.
It wasn’t a pleasant experience by any means.
[Bah! Hateful bastard! I’ll rip you into shreds] Gao Dau roared as he leapt to his feet and caused his [Chaos] to surge.
[Yeah, that pain and indignation you’re feeling right now? That’s about a third of the pain you placed me through.]
As gingerly as a black cat, Springerdermain landed in front of Gao Dau with a surprising amount of grace and elegance to his step. Which made for a stark contrast with how he bulldozed Gao Dau into the ground just moments ago.
[Wait, what? I don’t even know who you…no way…]
It took Gao Dau a couple moments to realize who exactly this weird snake-like spring-bodies gentleman was…and he couldn’t believe it.
Even if kaijin were supposedly freaks of nature that could heal from most fatal injuries like they were nothing, he didn’t expect it to be this fast.
[Wait…you’re the puppet had the pleasure of mutilating not too long ago? The one whose arms I was going to use as my own?]
[Right on the money, you tricloptic bitch. But as you can see, I got myself a bit of change in identity. The name’s Springerdermain, the Wonder Warrior. At your service.]
The moment he said this, Springerdermain bowed his low as any good gentleman should. However, like an unchurlish bastard, Gao Dau used that opportunity to spring forward and attempt to stomp in Springerdermain’s head.
BANG!
[Huh?!]
Unfortunately, he missed.
In the moment his foot made contact with the back of Springerdermain’s head, the kaijin suddenly exploded into a cloud of confetti.
*Sound of [Chaos] suddenly being ignited…*
[Oh balls.]
Confetti that suddenly began glowing with the power of [Chaos] before violently exploding in Gao Dau’s face.
Ka-Boom!
[Bah!]
Gao Dau was momentarily stunned as a burst of colorful lights blinded him, a series of increasingly loud pops deafness him and the sudden battering of multiple concussive blasts knocked him about.
Once he was disoriented though, Soringerdermain made his move.
[Not bad, but sometimes it’s better to be straightforward!]
While Gao Dau was still disoriented, Springerdermain simply kicked forward and landed a side kick right into the former’s abdomen. In fact, he impacted the same spot that he had tackled just moments earlier.
Much to Gao Dau’s merit though, the man was able to power through the attack and prepared himself to retaliate.
The third eye in Gao Dau’s forehead began to glow with a ghastly green light, moments before a barrage of blades came bursting from him.
[Psycho Cutter: Crazy Girl Edition!]
Every single blade followed wildly different trajectories and speeds that made it near impossible to calculate how to dodge every single blade.
The way this attack functioned caused Springerdermain to raise a non-existent eyebrow.
[Wait..this move…]
[I stole this move from some crazy bitch with a club and a bird!,] Gao Dau strangely boasted in a proud tone of voice. [Of course, I adapted the attack to better suit my inclinations.]
Evidently, this wasn’t just the empty boasting of a mere plagiarist.
The sheer amount of work needed to adapt an attack into a entirely different framework was the equivalent of trying to get a program designed for one type of machine to work for an entirely different type.
Honestly, it was impressive.
As the blades flew towards Soringerdermain, the very air began to hum with a vicious sound and tore the ground asunder.
If any one of these blades made contact with a normal aether warrior, they would be torn to shreds.
Against another kaijin though…it would still rip them to shreds, but they would be able to at least put up a fight and possibly counter.
Or in Springerdermain’s case, he’d be able to avoid them with no problems.
[Peeper’s ghost it is.]
Eventually, under Gao Dau’s watchful gaze, the blades passed the threshold of no return, the point where it was now impossible for someone to at least try to dodge the encroaching attack.
A cruel smile formed in Gao Dau’s old face as he realized what was going to happen next.
[Are you seriously going to try and block my attack?! I had to overclock my newly recovered brains in order to just block them myself, and I’m fairly certain my brain and reactions are way faster than some…hold up, what the fuck?]
However, much to his shock and wonder, his attack did absolutely nothing to Springderermain.
Because they passed right through him like a blade through mist!
