Meanwhile, aboard the deck of the [Storm Queen’s Galleon…
“What the heck is going on out there?”
<<I don’t know, but we were told we could just wait on the ship until it was over.>>
•Fine by me, my legs are still sore from all of that running.•
At this moment in time, thanks to the efforts for Zhen Hai and Zhen Feng, the galleon was filled with the recently liberated prisoners of the Fallen that didn’t have anywhere else to go…yet.
Normally, after a prison break like the one they went through, they would’ve been deposited to the nearest city to try and regain their bearings and contact home. However, before they could do just that, their liberators had informed them they would need to wait a couple minutes longer before getting off the ship.
As for why that was the case, well, they were seeing it for themselves.
Speaking of those liberators, Zhen Hai and Zhen Feng were currently at the edge of the galleon’s deck to get a better look at what the hell Zhen Liu was doing.
“Huh…ya know, outside looking in but now understanding the truth of the situation,” Zhen Hai began to comment. “Why is Xiao Liu acting so…extra?”
“I mean…it kind of makes sense,” Zhen Feng answered. “Zhen Liu on the regular tends to be a lot more mellow, despite also being incredibly paranoid, so it makes sense that if he ever needs to misdirect people as Kaijin Lord, they should be as bombastic and imposing as possible.”
“That does make sense,” Zhen Hai nodded in understanding. “But do you think he came to that conclusion by himself, or did the kaijin convinced him to do so? Because we only had Razorstella and Screamira in our heads for a temporary basis while he…ya know…”
“Ah…well…maybe? I always figured it’s because of Jin Fang, to be honest.”
“That…that tracks.”
…
“Wait, so am I on his left or his right?”
“I don’t think it matters, but which side do you think looks better in the mirror?”
“My right.”
“Then to the right you go.”
“Girls, is all of this really necessary?”
“Yes.”*2
“Of course…”
“Now then, shall we show the people something that’s going to blow their minds?”
“Yes, let’s.”
“Why does it seem like you two are enjoying this way more than I am?”
…Now back to the harbor…
[Company, bow!,] the red horned demon woman(Nepherage) shouted to the other kaijin as soon as the people near them began to look upwards.
As the citizens looked up, the Kaijin all fell down on to one kneee, appearing like a collection of knights kneeling before their king.
Which wasn’t far off.
As the people continued to stare, they eventually saw who they were looking for.
“Alright, where is this so called-”
“Over there! Look!”
“That’s him?! By the Abyss, he’s huge!”
“And he’s being flanked by two beauties!”
“Wait a minute…is that…an Imperial seal?!”
From above their heads, a trio of warriors came descending down towards the clearing that the Kaijin had created.
This was a rather striking sight to the crowd, especially since those with higher sensing abilities could determine that the two of the three warriors were beautiful young women with heavy backgrounds.
Evidently, they were also the first ones to land as well, in tandem no less.
“That girl in the dress…she looks just like-!”
“The eyes, the hair…it’s a striking resemblance!”
“Striking my ass, that’s definitely her daughter!”
Dressed in an unusual cerulean-colored outfit, the people of Undertow didn’t have a clear idea on who this young woman with blue hair was, but they did have their guesses.
Eyes and hair as blue as the sea and sky, soft yet fierce features that could change as quickly as the tide, skin as pale as a white sandy beach and an imposing trident in hand, reminded the people of their lost queen. Granted, some people couldn’t believe the possibility that this girl was the Storm Queen’s daughter. After all, it had been centuries since their queen died and this girl looked so…young.
And yet, they couldn’t deny the hope that was bubbling in their hearts.
Of course, this hope was tempered by the unbelievable sight of who she was accompanied by.
“This feeling…dragon force?”
“Not just any dragon force though, that’s the Pearl Scale Emperor’s force!”
“How and why is one of his descendants doing down here?”
“And why aren’t we getting attacked on sight?”
In sharp contrast to the woman dressed in blue, her companion was dressed in a mix of red, gold and black, had sun kissed skin, golden sharp eyes and a pair of dragon horns growing out of her head. Armed with a sword that was done in the imperial style of the Pearl Scale Empire, the people of Undertow couldn’t help but feel a bit…nervous.
That said, they couldn’t help but to notice that she was strikingly beautiful in a more fierce manner…like a predatory animal.
Once both women touched down on the ground, they proceeded to step to opposite sides in order to welcome their third member.
…
‘Can I still complain about me feeling a bit ridiculous about doing all of this pageantry?’
<Nah, it’s fine!>
=Honestly, this is fairly par for the course when it comes to Kaijin Lords. Your entrance was actually significantly less flashy than the Storm Queen’s.=
‘How?’
<=Literal hurricane entrance.=>
‘Bruh.’
…
“This feeling…this sheer amount of [Chaos]!”
“It feels like her but…different.”
“Okay, he cannot actually be that big…right?”
The final member of this trio looked significantly more masculine in comparison than his companions, but it was difficult to determine such details due to the ornate armor he was wearing.
Plates of black and blue metal bashed together to form a visage that resembled a deep sea demon king, complete with a helm that looked to be finned like a giant shark’s.
However, this look was only temporary.
[Alright you lot,] the giant armored figure rumbled in a voice as deep as a whale’s, [come forth and greet the people.]
“Wait a minute, do you guys sense that-”
FWOOM!
“HOLY SHIT!”
“NEW STORM KNIGHTS?!”
[Ah, much better.]
In a burst of blue light, three new Kaijin appeared before the armored figure in an instant, shocking the crowd.
Not just because this new Kaijin Lord had even more Kaijin under his command, but because these three new ones looked and felt awfully familiar.
If they had to try and pinpoint as to why they felt familiar, it was because these three new knights reminded them of Tortallion.
And for the older crowd, they were reminded of the other eleven Storm Knights.
Albeit, they couldn’t help but to notice how only one of the three new knights had an appearance similar to one of the previous Storm Knights. The other two were new though.
[In the name of the Kaijin Lord,] the young women resembling the Storm Queen called out in a crisp, powerful voice. [Identify yourselves, Inheritors of the Storm Knights’ will, Neo Storm Knights!]
“Did…did she just call them inheritors?!,” a shocked bystander exclaimed.
Ignoring this exclamation of shock, the aformentioned Neo Storm Knights made their introductions.
[Inheritor of the Fang Brothers, Saw Fang, Hammer Fang and Grand Fang, I am Wavebreaker,] the shark woman kaijin said first as she drew forth a great sword breaker. [Point me towards you enemies, and I shall tear them to shreds.]
[Inheritor of the Hard Shelled, Tortallion, Clobstar and Vice Shell, I am Shellvalier,] the shrimp-like kaijin stated while slamming his armored fists together. [Whether you need me to pulverize or protect, I will be there!]
[Inheritor of the Toxic, Krakelios, Medusina and Puffer, I am Slug-at-arms,] the blue sea dragon slug kaijin proclaimed while wriggling his body in a strange manner. [It doesn’t matter if my opponents stronger and faster than me, I’ll be sure to match and hit even harder than them.]
Now, this would’ve been the moment when the the Neo Storm Knights would’ve finished their introduction and proclaim their loyalty to the Kaijin Lord in front of them.
However, before they could do just that, a bolt of lighting suddenly struck the space between the Neo Storm Knights and the Kaijin Lord.
“Wait, isn’t that how-”
“It’s Terra!”
Once the lighting cleared, a woman with bone-like protrusions covering her mouth, glowing biolumineacent skin and ink black hair had appeared, kneeling in the same manner as the other kaijin were doing.
The woman took a deep breath before making a formal introduction.
[Inheritor of the Extremes, Shockheel, Marlancer and Grand Blue, my name is Terra, adoptive daughter of Tortallion and blood child of Shockheel.]
One she said this piece Terra lifted her head to meet the Kaijin Lord’s visored gaze.
[And I swear my fealty to the new Kaijin Lord.]
…
‘Was she…supposed to do that?’
<=Nope.=>
‘Huh…well, I might as well honor it…’
