[Bonus chapter]The Rules of Isekai by Thomas Lee, Part 1
If you are reading this, one of the following has happened:
1. I died, probably painfully, but I made sure to eat the other guy’s throat.
2. I somehow became immortal and didn’t need this thing.
3. You have been given this by the PoD (point of divinity) of your respective world, for some reason.
4. You stole from me.
5. I lost this thing.
Either way, you now have access to arguably the most useful piece of literature you’ll need to survive being transported to another world, also known as, “being isekaied”.
I could have included some “legendary” technique or a treasure map, but more often than not, that shit gets abused really easily, so instead, I made a series of rules, a guideline or tip bank really, to help you, whoever you are, to deal with the bullshit that comes with being isekaied.
Not all of it is accurate, but it’ll still help.
Also, it might be out of order…

Rule#1: Cardio, cardio, remember your cardio
I stole this from a movie, points to whoever gets the reference or even know what a movie is, however, it’s still good advice.
There is a non-zero chance that you’ll end up needing to run real fast from an issue or towards an issue, be it monsters, authorities or jilted lovers.
Doesn’t matter if you’re in a super science world, a supernatural one or one with straight up magic, keep up your cardio, you’re gonna need it.

Rule #2: Figure out your world ASAP
New world, new rules, obviously.
However, not all worlds with a similar style work on the same logic.
You could be in a super science world, but their science runs on actual magic.
Maybe you can hyper evolve, but double check the source before you think eating everything that moves is a good idea.
Perhaps you’re in a cultivation world, but the energy could be anything from dou qi to yuan power to soul energy to blood power.
If you’re lucky(?), there could also be a universal System that runs the whole show and gives power ups for reasons.
Either way, learn your world’s rules and learn them fast.

Rule #3: Realize your circumstances, adjust accordingly
As far as I can tell there are five ways someone gets isekaied: wholesale, transmigration, transformation, tunnel/teleportation and reincarnation.
There’s a lot more nuance to this stuff, but I’m just gonna be brief.
Wholesale is when your entire…self, gets transported to another world. Everything from your looks to your personality gets yeeted to another world. Unfortunately, this usually means it’s one way trip and this doesn’t guarantee identification stuff so if you are this type of isekaied, go directly to rule #5, if not read on.
Transmigration is…weird, because this when a dude’s soul gets yeeted to another person’s body…usually someone who just died. I fall into this category, and it is a jarring ass trip integrating someone else’s memories into my own. There’s also a non-zero chance that the other dude has taken over my own body, but I ain’t sure.
Transformation…you are now an object. Not even derogatory, you are just a literal object now. You probably have abilities, you will probably be used by the natives. Rule#4 is important for this one.
Tunnel/teleportation: You are one of the luckiest SOBs in the multiverse. You basically have a backdoor into another world, ala Wonderland tunnels, and can probably make mad bank due to otherworldly trading. Don’t be tempted to throw people into them though.
Reincarnation: you died and now have a literal new lease on life. You probably have memories on how you died and are probably gonna abuse your old brain, new body dynamic. Rule#5 is very important for this as well.
I’m pretty sure I have missed some type of getting isekaied, but regardless on the how and why, you have now been isekaied and it was probably due to outside forces, which leads to…

Rule #4: Determine your brain buddy.
Seven times out of ten, someone who got isekaied probably has one of the following in their heads:
1. A System.
Maybe the gods were bored or because MAGIC SUPER SCIENCE, but an isekaied might have a system in their brain that can quite literally defy physics and the universe to do things for you. These can range from being robotic to being sassy, smart talking pains in the ass, but they tend to be on your side and are usually the cheat button way of winning life.
2. A god.
I am not joking on this one, you or may not have divinity in your brain due to the PoD getting bored and wanting to go and see the world. This can have…odd effects on your person, ranging from weird abilities to another personality to…just…voices. So many voices…
It’s not a terrible brain buddy, just be careful about what you do in your “alone” time. They’ll always be watching…
3. Another madafacka.
This tends to apply to the transmigration type, but sometimes when your soul gets yeeted into a new body, there’s a chance the previous guy didn’t…move on yet. You will have a literal soulmate, and things will definitely get weird. Assume shenanigans to the Nth degree.
Now with the esoteric stuff out of the way, let’s get practical.

Rule #5: Learn how to lie, learn how to lie well.
You don’t have to throw away honesty wholesale, but for the love of the divine, learn how to lie.
You are now *technically* an alien on another world and you *probably* have reality defying powers that those with unsavory ideas will probably want to abuse this like no tomorrow.
If you ever seen a comic or move where Superman doesn’t fall in Kansas, you will probably end up that way unless you learn how to bullshit your way out of a situation.
Additionally, if you can be charming while lying, you get puckish rogue points, and people love a puckish rogue.

That’s all for now, but I got like twenty others of these things, but for now, Thomas is out!
