Chapter 243: Abuzz with rumors of “amore”…but I’m busy with delivery.
The Zhen Clan and the Corrada are to be united by matrimony!
More specifically, The First Young Master, Zhen Hai, will be wedded to the First Young Mistress of the Corrada Family, Gianna.
A pairing no one saw coming, at all.
Zhen Hai has been known to be hot-headed, reckless and the type to have once rodeoed a Black Iron-Horn Bison into a porcelain ware store. Twice.
On the other hand, Gianna was mildly…whiplash, to say the least.
For the most part, she was known to be cold, calculative and a bit arrogant on the day to day and in the heat battle.
When it came to the matters of love however, her personality was surprisingly sweet and caring.
Hence why a lot of people referred to her as being a rose with steel thorns.
Actually, when they put it like that, this match made a little too much sense.
Maybe Zhen Hai would influence Gianna to be more emotional on the regular, maybe Gianna would help Zhen Hai…not pick fights with Flesh-eater Armadillos…who knows.
Regardless, the Zhen Clan as of late has been surprisingly fast and loose with the engagement announcements.
The First Mistress got engaged to a prince of a foreign land and now the First Young Master was engaged to another prominent family in the city.
This got the general populace talking, who in the Zhen Clan was going to announce their engagement next?
Zhen Xing?
Zhen Tai?
Nobody knew for certain, but…a good chunk of people thought that the next high profile engagement would be a certain puppeteer who was “dead” for about a month.
Not that he knew any of this, he was busy playing with a dragon corpse in a hole.

In a certain empty pit, Zhen Liu was busy messing around with new kaijin artifacts under the watchful gaze of his girlfriend…which basically amounted to her watching him draw a big ass circle with nothing but a weird looking key, around the corpse of Diabolic Dragon and them. Having grown up handling a lot of aether beast corpses, she was just laying against the thing’s back.
“Xiao Liu…are you sure this thing is going to work? You may be an unexplainable existence now, but you’re not exactly a treasure maker…,” Jin Fang noted. She had seen the man make monsters before, sure, but making items of power was a different matter.
=Everything should work flawlessly…at least according to the instructions.=
“Let’s go with…yes.”
Now that the Zhen Clan was busy dealing with both Zhen Hai’s and Zhen Yue’s engagements, this meant that Zhen Liu and other younger generation members were given ample time to just do whatever they want.
Which in the case of Zhen Liu, testing a possibly dangerous space warping key in his favorite quarry, with Jin Fang behind him in case shit goes sideways…or he ends up teleporting his ass directly into the bottom of the lake, either or.
“Alright, and that’s the last of the circle that needed to be drawn. Hurray,” Zhen Liu lightly cheered as he finally took his key out of the sand.
Logos and Pathos had informed Zhen Liu that in order to make use of his new key to the library, he had to draw the door first, literally.
It didn’t matter the surface, he just had to draw a big enough circle, square, or honestly anything “door-like” enough for the key to register as a “door”. And it was a picky little bitch, but if he did it a right, a keyhole would appear on the newly drawn door as a sign he succeeded.
Lucky for him this time it did.
“Hah! Suck it universe!,” Zhen Liu gloated to the air.
With his door now ready, Zhen Liu inserted the key, turn the lock, and-.
“Wait…Xiao Liu, if you open the door thing now, won’t the two of us and your dragon corpse here just fall through like a trap door?,” Jin Fang pointed out as soon as Zhen Liu “unlocked” the door.
“Uhhh…”
*Click.*
Before Zhen Liu could properly answer, the floor underneath them flipped over like a revolving trapdoor in an old school haunted house.
They didn’t even have time to scream or freak out over the sudden change in scenery.

Zhen Liu and Jin Fang had their orientations corrected as soon as the trap door concluded its revolution.
The two of them were greeted by the sight of an odd looking room that was namely a wide open space with no shelves whatsoever, that caused Zhen Liu to wonder if this was the right place to begin with. Luckily for him, Pathos and Logos were already there to greet them and explain what the hell was going on…again.
=That being said,= Pathos interjected, looking like a secretary for a big company CEO complete with business skirt and glasses, =welcome to the Receiving Hall. This will be where you’ll come if you bring back any items that has been deemed too…messy, for the main halls of the Library.=
“Huh…neat.”
=Indeed. Now then, Pathos?=
Pathos walked up to the dragon corpse, prompting Jin Fang to step away, before clapping his hands before it.
A box of aether manifested around the dragon corpse and solidified into a black mass before sinking into the floor, causing it to disappear before their very eyes.
“…Obvious question: This place has a storage room?”
=Indeed it does, in fact, you have fulfilled the requirement needed to gain access to this facility.=
“Huh?”
At that exact moment, Pathos pulled out a party popper and pulled it.
“Oh. Coo-wait, halls?”
