Chapter 322: Twice Blasted…
“AAAAAAHHhhhHhHGHhhh, YOOoUuUU fUuUccckkingg DegeeenErrraATTeee! MAYYyyy youuUUu Roooottt! iiiinNNnn HelllLLll,” Frederick cursed as his body slowly tried to regenerate the massive amount of damage that had been inflicted upon his person. A rather herculean effort what with the flames of [Chaos] eating away at his flesh still and especially with a good chunk of his organs and his brain getting caught up in the blast.
“bLllAaassstEEDdd wOOooRMMm!”
Rocko’s self-destruction had done significantly more damage than Frederick could have predicted, an absolutely vexing revelation since Frederick had planned for this contingency before.
Around the time of his original transformation, Frederick had realized if he kept his vital organs in their usual places, they would become easy targets for would-be revenge seekers and warriors. As such, he made sure to regularly shift his organs until finally settling on hiding them in the giant wasp body that served as lower torso.
However, he never planned for someone with [Chaos] in their body to self-destruct right on top of him, and having the force of the explosion impact literally every part of him, while also igniting several parts of his body at once.
In short, Frederick went from horrifying humanoid monster that was composed of several vicious insect stitched together to a walking pile of scorched flesh that barely held together by torn tendons and burnt exoskeletal remains.
“fuUUuccckiiinggg leggssss noooOOtTtt wooorKiiinG, unless…”
Realizing the structure folly of his current state, Frederick began to crunch and transform his body down further until he was now just a rolling ball of insect flesh.
“JjjuUUusssstt TemmPppooRararry. Jusssst nEeED ttoooo feeeEDddd,” Frederick told himself as he rolled towards the exit of his chamber.
Right now, his body needed nutrients and energy, what with his intended meals escaping and blowing themselves, which meant that for the first time in years, he would actively have to go outside and hunt for his food like some kind of-*ZAP!*
“gahHgahGgHhGg! whhHHhhaaatTTt inNNnn Thee?!”
Before Frederick could even get a psuedopod pass the threshold of his chamber, a burning force acted upon his flesh and utterly annihilated several inches of flesh off his new rotundness form. He backed away a few inches before experimentally stretching out a tentacle to test the seal, only for it to get scorched into nothingness.
He did this action several more times until he was “satisfied”. As he tried to figure out why this was happening, he recalled what Rocko had said to him moments before exploding, a task that was made slightly easier now that his brain had regenerated slightly more than before. However, when he recalled the details, his mood quickly soured into rage and despair.
“No…NooooOoo…NNNoOOooOOooooo!!!!”
As Rocko had promised, Frederick had been sealed down in the Spider Queen’s Remains, trapped in a prison that was once his chamber of power.
Over the years he would try again and again to break the seal and escape, only to get injured again and again.
“nnnNnneeeeddDDddd to FeeeeeDddd, Neeeeddd to Heaaaalll!,” he would cry at every attempt. But alas, the seal would remain firm, and it would hurt him everytime he tried.
“EeevVveeennn a Grub would do. Just a little…grub!
Evidently, that little phrase would become something of a focus for Frederick. Due to the forced isolation and very, very rare instances of some kind of “food” showing up, Frederick’s mind began to fall apart at the seams until he began to believe that his name wasn’t Frederick, but simply…Grub.
“GrruuuBbbbBb neeeddssSS FFOoooODddD. Soo Weeee cannn BEEE perfect again!”
Perhaps out of boredom or desperation, Grub began to form faces upon his body, each one looking incredibly different in regards to the face that had once belonged to the one known as “Frederick”…not that Grub even could remember who that was at this point.

[Wait, the amnesiacs on the field?! Get her out of there now, it’s too dangerous!,] Hurricroak commented.
Evidently, the kaijin could somehow still comment and observe the field despite being inside what was essentially a super powerered, miniaturized whirl and hurl that was still spinning.
[How…are…you…not…dizzy?!,] Frosttusk complained.
All of the spinning st this point had caused Frosttusk’s form to cool considerably, suddenly shrinking down didn’t help much either.
[I am a walking talking hurricane, this level of spin is nothing to me! But seriously, she needs to clear the blast zone, ASAP!]
‘What the fuck is she doing?!’
For reasons beyond Zhen Liu’s understanding, the previously unconcious hunter girl had spontaneously woken up and was now running towards the empty space that was between him and the abomination/former human. Once she had stopped what was essentially the mid point of where Zhen Liu and Grub were standing, she had suddenly dropped to her knees and began to grope the ground.
‘Is she…seriously looking for something now? Why?!’
It was when the core consolidation was completed that he got his answer.
‘Unforgotten yearning? What in the fuck kind of core is-oh. She got her memory back…and now she’s diving headlong into this area because of some memento that she-‘ “Yes, it’s here!” ‘-of fucking course it was the saber.’
Now that he had his answer, Zhen Liu proceeded to rush forward with Godoku Cannon in hand, much to the confusion of Logos…not Pathos.

=Uhh, what is he doing? Why is he going into melee range of this bastard?!=

“WrRrreetccheeedd! ViIlLllEee! I WilLll-huh?”
As Grub struggled against the rain of bolts, arrows and energy blasts, as well as the sheer amount of weird warriors pulling against his tentacles, something unexpected occured that caused his blood to boil.
‘IiiiIiTTtt CaaanNnnnNttt Beee…’
Right before his very eyes, the young woman he had failed to devour had returned standing before him, but that wasn’t what angred him.
It was what she was holding in her hands.
‘ThaaaAaTttt BbbbLaaaddeeee…’
It may have been years since that day…but he would never forget.
Half of his brain may have been destroyed, but he would never forget.
Isolation and hunger may have driven him insane, but he would never forget.
‘RRRrrrocckoooo…’
With renewed vigor and rage coursing through him, Grub felt that his limbs were no longer necessary.
He just needed to stretch.

With the saber in hand, Rianna proceeded to fucking bolt back the way she had came.
However, just as she was about halfway to the door, the sound of several bodies suddenly stumbling backwards caught her attention, followed by the sight of a strange fleshy worm surging towards her, with it’s mouth wide open.
“ROOOOOCCKOOOOOO!,” the worm shouted as it threatened to swallow her whole.
In that brief moment, with adrenaline coursing through her, Rianna realized that there was no way for her to avoid this attack, but at the same time, counterattacking would lead to her death.
In short, she was screwed.
“Yeah…don’t think so.”
But, like clockwork, Zhen Liu suddenly appeared in front of her and the worm-beast with a glowing gourd in his hands.
While she didn’t know what the gourd did, she had a feeling it was gonna be very bad news for Grub.
