Chapter 328: Money vs Power is no contest
While Zhen Liu couldn’t put an exact figure on the amount of money he could get if he sold both the cores and essence as opposed to just using it himself in terms of this world’s money, back home this was enough cash to buy out two of the biggest software companies of his world, and have their CEOs make out for his amusement, not that he would do that.
‘Wait…can anyone in this area even afford to buy this shit? Can’t exactly make scratch if no one several,’ Zhen Liu realized once he stopped imagining himself as noveaue rich socialite with a big ass pool.
If he wanted to offload it, it would be too expensive for even the richest clan in the area to afford a drop…which was ironically his.
He could try piecemeal selling this stuff, but that would lead to questions on supply, how he managed to get so much and all sorts of issues.
As for contacting a seller like Patriarch Goldshire…that wasn’t a terrible idea, but if word got out that some random ass frontier clan got their hands on this stuff, that would lead to a lot of issues. Of the murderous and hostage variety.
‘Yeah…let’s not paint a target on my family…at least not until I’m powerful to flick entire sects to death…,’ Zhen Liu concluded, ‘lets just do the thing I planned from the start, make some new kaijin.’
‘Lets do that first…wait, quick question, can I make two kaijin at once?’
=Yes, you just need the appropriate amount of cores and materials.=
‘Oh…well then!’
Before Zhen Liu opened up the Library in order to retrieve the jade jugs, he first decided to summon the other core he had in storage.
‘Toxic webs and violent winds…yeah, this is gonna go great.’

=Ehhh. I think it was a smart move not to. “Cataclysmic Wind Storm” doesn’t exactly blend well with something like a desire for freedom. Unless you see wind blasted hellscapes as freedom.=
=Doubtful, the bodies are too far gone at this point, even with their cores present.=
<=That said, let's start the show.=>

‘Wait…holy shit, this is the first time I’ve done one of these without someone trying to kill me for once! How delightfully safe.’
=Kaijin creation acknowledged.=
=Cores selected:
-Howling- Core of Extreme Violence.
-Floating- Core of Toxic Control.=
=Unseeded bypass. Materials present are interconnected, can be considered one unit for purpose of cohesion.=
<=Activating Chaos Body Forge...=>

Little Grub…no, Rianna.
By the time you’re able to read this, you’ll have probably realized that I have long since passed on.
I’m not sure if I went out the way I wanted, but I know damn well that it was the way I needed to…not that I wanted to.
I wanted to take you out of this jungle someday to see the world and eat food that wasn’t made of bugs.
I wanted to one day enroll you into a nice school, somewhere you can learn all the things I never did.
I wanted to walk you down the aisle someday…
Won’t be able to do that now…
Little grub…just know…no matter where you go, or who you become, I will always be there.
Love,
Papa________________________________________________
“Papa…,” Rianna quietly cried as she read over her father’s note for the third time that evening.
It was a simple yet short note, but Rianna could feel all the love her papa put into it.
While she wasn’t when or how this letter appeared, it was exactly what she needed.
“Don’t worry papa, I’ve become someone you can be proud of,” Rianna said as he folded the note and tucked it into her shirt.
She didn’t really need to keep the note as a memento of him, since she had the saber, but it just felt right in the moment to do so.
With the note tucked away, Rianna proceeded to focus her attention to the saber, an item she assumed was a gift from her father to her.
She was just about to draw the saber from it’s sheath and evaluate the blade, when an unexpected buzzing sound and a soft light coming from her side caught her attention.
“What the-WHOA!”
The source of this light was a strange being unlike anything she had seen before.
The creature in question was massive, not as big as Grub but still huge.
The shape was overall human, female to be more specific, but it carried features more akin to insects.
An exoskeleton of chitin that seemed to form organic curves so that it looked more like regal armor, giant wings that flowed like a cape and looked as delicate as a lacewing’s but carried bright colors like those of butterflies and antenna and horns that seemed to form a natural crown, placed upon a face that was beautifully aliens with compound eyes to match.
Oddly though, the being only had two arms, no more, no less.
‘Its like…staring at the mother of all insects,’ she thought to herself as she stared at the being.
For a brief moment, the insect mother threw a glance in Rianna’s direction, before focusing on the pools of Sacred Beast Essence before her. Seconds passed before the insectile being plunged her hands into the pool.
[With my power I forge your bodies]
