Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What? – Chapter 346

Cocoons of Creation

Chapter 329: Cocoons of Creation

[Huh? Razor. What is. That?]

[Oh, that? Our Lord is making new kaijin to join us. New playmates as it were?]

[Really? Not getting replaced?]

[No, why would you think that?]

[Happened before. Before I could. Think and speak. Before I could. Put to words.]

[Hmm. Well, regardless of before, you have us now. And I promise, you won’t be replaced. Got it?]

[Got it. Thank you Big. Sister.]

[Big sister? Hmm…I quite like that.]

________________________________________________

‘Huh? Both of you are here? That’s unusual.’

=If you were making a singular kaijin to add to the ranks, only I or Pathos would show up. But since you’re using two cores, we both needed to appear.=

‘Huh…aight.’

As Zhen Liu’s consciousness entered the kaijin creation space, he was surprised to find both Logos and Pathos present…he was not surprised to find that the interface had changed again.

‘So…last time it was a DJ sound mixing booth, time before it was a 3D printer, now it’s a…hyper loom? Sewing machine?’

=I call it the Life Weaver myself.=

‘Huh…’

Before Zhen Liu was massive machine that looked like a giant weaver’s loom, albeit, significantly more sci-fi looking, biopunk to be more specific.

Several giant looks of thread decorated the perimeter of the machine, while in the middle were two mannequins with holes in their chests, surrounded by various needles, scissors and measuring tapes, the things all tailors would need when preparing a dress or suit. As for the means to control such a device, a pair of heavy, cybernetic gauntlets stuck out, attached to the machine via wires and mechanical restraints.

While the loom looked rather impressive, Zhen Liu was still confused as to why the set-up was how it was.

‘So…last time Hurricroak was made in a DJ booth because the core and I guess the materials were musical in origin, sure…but what does the hyper science weaving thing have to do with a giant lacewing and spi…hold up.’

Zhen Liu turned towards Pathos, who had the biggest shit-eating grin on his face.

‘Is it a giant weaver’s loom, because I’m working with a giant spider corpse?’

‘Then, why?’

‘…’

Zhen Liu let out a long groan of pain, realizing that he is using a giant pun to make monsters.

‘The pain…’

It took a few moments for Zhen Liu to recover, but once he did, he simply walked over to the gauntlets and stuck his hands in.

Once the gauntlets were firmly in place, the tools around the mannequins began to spin around, pulling threads from the surrounding spools.

[With my power, I forge your bodies.]

=Analyzing design choices…Spider and Lacewing selected based on materials present.

[With my power, I forge your bodies.]

The insect queen lifted her hands from the pools of essence, producing from their depths a pair of crystalline beast cores, entangle in rainbow threads of silk coming from the giant’s fingertips.

On the threads, the Sacred Beast Essences beaded upon them like morning dew, gathering in the center and condensing on the cores.

“It’s like a rainbow…,” Rianna muttered as she stared at the gathering drops.

With a careful movement of her fingers, the insect queen weaved the loose threads into a pair of humanoid shapes with the crystal cores serving as the center point, and the gathering essence dew creating a protective coating.

Once the coating was in place, the insect queen waved her hand, and the chamber suddenly began to shake.

“Huh? Is that an earthqu-WHOA!”

From the ground arose huge chunks of insect and arachnid shells, encased in a glowing aura, that began to melt and mold into pieces of armor that encased various parts of the clear humanoid dolls.

Unusually, the heads were left bare as the bodies were fully encased in the reformed shells.

Evidently, she couldn’t help but notice that the figures were surprisingly feminine.

“…I’m bigger…”

On Zhen Liu’s end.

Zhen Liu manipulated the loom into creating two dresses, one with an obvious silky look, while the other had more of a lacey design.

For a first time tailoring experience, they looked surprisingly nice.

=Huh. They look surprisingly elegant for what are technically giant insect kaijin.=

‘Shut the fuck up, I’m just doing what the materials tell me.’

=The vessels are ready for information download…but it appears the materials already have formulas inscribed in them. Do you wish to use those instead?=

‘They do?’

‘Ah okay, how does the line change?’

<=With my wisdom, I refine your mind.=>

‘Oh, cool.’

[With my wisdom, I refine your mind.]

The aether beast cores began to glow as their formulas turned into stitch patterns across the dresses. Moments later, several aether arts appeared before transforming into additional patterns on the dresses.

‘Well that’s indicative on how these guys are gonna act…I think’

[With my wisdom, I refine your mind.]

Once the figures were prepared, the insect queen began to weave her fingers once more, producing more and more threads of gossamer and silk, covering the figures in beautiful woven patterns that decorated the coatings of essence and armor with patterns like those of beetle shells.

With every pattern imprinted, the figures in question began to look more and more defined.

The one on the right had a darker, purple tone to them with web-like patterning on their limbs and body.

As for the one on the left, the coloration was more black and white, with unusually red finger tips.

Once the last of the patterns were imprinted onto the bodies, the figures spontaneously developed energy shaped like hair from the featureless heads, a bob cut for the one on the right and a curly ponytail for the one on the left.

________________________________________________

=So… why did you give them hair? I think this is the first time I’ve seen you apply hairstyles to the kaijin. Unless you count Frosttusk but that’s more of a beard…trunk.=

‘Well, the kaijin all have access to human forms right? Figured this would help with that.’

‘What about Hurricroak’s neon purple bobcut?’

‘Huh… the more you know.’

=Regardless, milord, have you decided on names for these two yet?’

‘Kinda, but nothing too good…wait, can you guys provide names?’

<=Us?=>

‘Well yeah, y’all are in my head like all the time. I’m pretty sure I can trust y’all to name some new kaijins that will be added to the ranks.’

=Milord… I’m so touched that you would trust with such an important-=

‘FEAR!’

[And with my will, I pull your soul from Chaos.]

*Fwoom…*

*AWWWOOOOO!*

From the insect queen’s mouth, a pair of colorful orbs appeared and floated upward for a couple moments before stopping right above the heads of the two humanoid figures.

“What…are they?”

Rianna couldn’t explain it, but one of those seemed to contain within it a rage, the type she’s only seen in a certain species of spider known to hunt the cockroach beasts down here, while the other ball of light made her feel like she was being watched and evaluated by every move she made and every breath she took. Weirder still, she didn’t feel threatened by the orbs. They just felt like…forces of nature.

*Crack!*

“This! This feeling!”

Immediately after, a crack in space appeared above her head and a strange energy flowed outwards and merged with the balls of light, resealing once some invisible quota was met.

The balls of light then exploded into more threads, cocooning their respective figures in brightly colored threads and infusing them with some strange energy.

In that moment, Rianna felt the amount of life in the area suddenly increase…along with the power of a certain individual she just realized wasn’t in the room right now.

“Is…is that squishy Zhen Liu guy breaking through? Now ?!”

But before she could confirm this fact, the two cocoons of energy suddenly began to crack like eggs and release a majestic aura. The kind only Aether Grandmasters can pull off!

The next thing she knew, a series of voices went off.

*Crack!*

*Crack!*

=Sever, maim, tear and cut! Your blade leaves now shadow as you dance upon the breeze of fury and victory. Where you fly, evil falls, Lacerage!=

*BOOM!*

The cocoons exploded in a burst of light, smoke and sound, and when they all began to clear, Rianna heard two new voices.

“Hmmmm. What a filthy place. That rubble is much too jagged and is off by three millimeter.”

“Bah! If that’s a big issue just let me at it! I’ll cut it into pieces!”
