Chapter 516: Radioactivity got nothing on me.
“What the fuck?”
Immediately after the parasinner grabbed the frozen Ravager Otter corpse, Zhen Liu felt the familiar feeling of energy being sapped from his body.
He didn’t pass out from the sapping, so he could clearly sense that his internal [Chaos] was just forcefully channeled into the parasinner and out of her hands.
And from her hands, it went into the frozen otter corpse, which is when things started getting weird.
“What the fuck?”
=And that is why we’re hesitant at giving you materials to make her a body.=
Before their very eyes, the Ravager Otter corpse in the parasinner’s hands began to undergo some rather unusual changes.
At first, it wasn’t anything too alarming, just as the texture of the Ravager Otter’s frozen body suddenly disappeared as it was replaced by a black and pink checkboard pattern.
‘Hold up.’
But the longer the parasinner held the [corpse], the stranger and more distorted it became.
‘Something ain’t right…’
Like a piece of sentient taffy, the [corpse] started to squash and stretch in [un]natural ways, as if it always had this property.
Which made complete sense to Zhen Liu as it was common knowledge that [putty] could naturally bend and stretch in various ways that simple mortal minds could not-
“Wait a minute, what the fuck is going on with my thoughts? I’m pretty certain that she was manhandling an otter’s corpse and not a…teddy bear made of putty…that is now T-posing, what the fuck is going on?”
The entire time Zhen Liu had been watching the parasinner hold, what he recalled was a Ravager Otter corpse, he had been developing a headache that just seemed to grow stronger and stronger by the second as the otter corpse became more and more distorted.
Logos and Pathos had looks on their faces that seemed to share the sentiment that they knew something like this was going to happen.
=Please release the Ravager Otter corpse from your grasps.>
{Aww, you don’t want me to make more of a show of it?}
=No thank you.=
{Fine…}
The parasinner dropped the [putty bear] to the ground like it was a broken toy, and the moment that she did, it went back to being a plain old Ravager Otter corpse. Albeit, it was no longer frozen and looked oddly…fresh.
The damn thing was still dead, but now looked like it was killed only recently as opposed to several days ago.
Once the body had hit the floor, Zhen Liu’s headache immediately disappeared as if it wasn’t there in the first place.
“Ow. What the fuck?”
Granted, his head was still a touch sore after whatever the fuck that was.
=Just breathe milord. The residual pain should disappear now that the parasin is no longer…glitching?=
=Glitching reality.=
“Uh…okay…”
Zhen Liu took a few deep breaths as gathered up his thoughts on what the fuck just occurred, however, as he tried to recall on the events that had just happened literal moments ago, he could only do so with great difficulty. It was if the memories in his head were being deleted as he was trying to recall them.
‘Okay, and now my memories are acting wonky, what the fuck?’
Normally, Zhen Liu would just roll with the weird shit that happened to him ,especially since he was technically an anomaly in a world of magic cultivation.
However, the fact that this parasinner thing was able to mess with his mind in an indirect manner was a stretch too far even for himself.
“Can you two explain what the fuck just happened?”
=As far as we can tell milord, the parasinner can do the same thing you do when you channel [Chaos] into objects that aren’t kaijin-worthy or even proto-kaijin stable. Like I said earlier, it’s like she can forcefully inject data into something and fundamentally change what it is.=
{I’m toxic, baby,} the parasinner interjected, {and I can’t help but to spread my love around.}
“Okay, that wasn’t an innuendo, so that’s progress…hold up, if the parasinner’s abilities are so…ubiquitous or all encompassing or whatever the term is, then why hasn’t the entire cell she’s standing in turn into a weird glitchy mess?”
The parasinner shrugged at Zhen Liu’s question, not knowing the answer, but Logos and Pathos did.
<=That's because the Library exists in another plane of existence that doesn't abide by the rules that she is interfering with. As far as we can tell, she's only able to cause objects in your world to...glitch.=>
“Ah…that…makes sense…I think…,” Zhen Liu muttered, “wait…you guys just said ‘objects’…what about creatures?”
=That…we haven’t tested out yet. Lack of subjects and well…
“Well, that’s…weirdly sweet of y’all,” Zhen Liu admitted.
“Wait…what about using a zako?”
<=Wait, what?,=> Logos and Pathos asked simultaneously. Apparently the two of them didn’t think to make use of the zakos for testing purposes, probably due to all of the weird shit that happened up until then.
{Oh I actually get someone that can move to play with for once?}
“I mean…y’all said that we can’t use the kaijin because the parasinner could rewrite their very existence down to their cores, we can’t use objects because she glitches them out of reality and we can’t use living beings on the risk of them…ya know…suddenly escaping? So why not use the not-quite alive, not quite objects literal instant minions we have on hand?,” Zhen Liu elaborated.
“Keep in mind that I have no idea whether or not the zakos are alive still and I still have questions on the ethics of using them as meat shields and disposable grunts and now…magical science apparently. But it’s better than leaving the parasinner locked up in here without knowing what they can do.”
Zhen Liu took a breath before turning his face towards the parasinner’s cell, staring directly into the subject’s non-existence eyeballs.
“Besides, I’m pretty sure I accidentally brought them to life into this world, might as well make sure I take responsibility for it.”
{Awww, daddy…}
“Stop that.”
{Never.}
Logos and Pathos looked at each other silence, communicating on a level inaudible to the kaijin lord, before finally nodding in tandem.
=Alright, milord. We shall do as you ask and test out subjecting some zakos to her abilities.=
Zhen Liu reached into a pouch that he kept tied to his hip, the one containing all of the unsummoned zakos under his direct command, pulling out a particularly full one that seemed to have the texture of old bones.
“Well…she was originally part mechanical parasite…and that thing needed a body…makes sense to use one where they can fill in the lines themselves…”

=Seriously though, how the fuck did the two of us not think of using the zakos for testing this thing? It’s literally their whole purpose to be disposable fighters.=
=Right…did you figure out what formulas you’re going to provide them by the way? I have already picked out the ones that I believe are most suitable for young Jasper, but Janice is a mystery to me…=
=Excellent. It has been quite some time since we had some other [Chaos] cultivators in the library other than our lord…I do hope they like our choices.=
=Great vote of confidence.=

“So is there like a slot I put this sucker in, or…”
“Ah…neat.”
With the instructions given, Zhen Liu proceeded to toss the skeleton type zakos marble through the seal formation and into the parasinner’s cell.
He had planned to just summon the thing once it has landed inside…he didn’t expect the parasinner to just catch it midair.
{Oooooh, I smell… compatibility!}
