Chapter 745: Brutal Beatings and-WHO ARE YOU?!
∆∆What the f-∆∆
*BAM!*
Before Gao Mei or Yue Dan could react to Kit’s statement, Kit proceeded to swing their arm like a bullwhip and launched the captured Gao Tang like a high speed projectile directly at the former of the aforementioned duo. However, Kit did not release Gao Tang when they did this attack.
“Alley-oop!”
Instead, as Gao Tang crashed into his sister, Kit used the momentum of their own throw to propel themselves forward like a missile aimed at Yue Dan’s stomach. As they sailed through the air, Kit’s free hand suddenly developed a metal coating that gave them a brass knuckle that appeared to be made of scrap metal and bolts.
Unfortunately, due to the unusual nature of Kit’s existence of being connected to someone that wasn’t Zhen Liu, Kit didn’t have many aether arts built-in nor could Zhen Liu adjust what aether arts Kit had access to at any given moment. Instead, they had to learn the old fashioned way.
[Stone Crushing Iron Fist!]
*CRACK!*
“OOF!”
The sound of broken bones could be heard as Kit’s fist slammed into Yue Dan in a heavy manner, sending him flying the same distance as Gao Tang and Gao Mei when they were sent flying.
After sending their assailants all flying, Kit immediately landed on their feet and prepared themselves to keep fighting.
“Now come on, you disgusting louts. Stand back up and give me another reason to-huh?”
In this world where might makes right, most aether warriors would keep fighting, even if it was a losing battle that meant death was on the other end. However, some warriors were firm believers of being able to live to fight for another day, regardless of how their pride or honor is affected. Evidently, Yue Dan and his minions were of this latter category.
∆∆Let’s get out of here!∆∆
∆∆R-right!∆∆
The moment they sensed they were outmatched by Kit and their unusually stretchy physique, the three of them ran as of the devil himself was nipping at their heels. Which wasn’t exactly wrong, if they knew the nature of Kit’s existence.
On the one hand, Kit was happy to be rid of those buffoons and their lascivious designs. On the other, they were mildly disappointed in not being able to at least beat their would-be assailants into unconsciousness.
If there was a term for “blue balls” in regards to conflicts, this would be it.
“Damn…might as well go back to the shop. But first…”
With the threat now over, Kit shrank themselves back down and reverted to their human form. As they did though, they decided to opt for a slightly more masculine build. It probably wouldn’t help ward off perverts that much, but it at least gave them a peace of mind.

“Ah. Looks like they’re done handing those guys their assess on a silver platter,” Zhen Liu observed as he watched the people who were dumb to try and assault one of his kaijin, run away like dogs with their tails between their legs.
“I’m not gonna lie, that was an impressive display of fighting, but I am sorely disappointed in the Raging Mountain Sect’s disciples. I remember their elites being a bit more vicious,” Jinju Ren added.
“Wait a minute…did you head in this direction so you could check up on this taffy-born kaijin of yours?,” Jin Fang asked.
“Partially. We’re heading back to Stampeding Bison, I figured I might as well check on the only kaijin that was going to be left behind,” Zhen Liu answered honestly. “That and I wanted to get some candy for the trip back?”
“What’s candy?,” Rianna asked.
“How do-wait…right…anyways, let’s go and check on them and their mother,” Zhen Liu told the others as he walked towards the now human looking Kit.

“Now it’s time for me to go-”
“Damn. Nice fight out there, Kit.”
“Huh? Why do you-oh! Master Zhen Liu! It’s good to see you again.”
As soon as Zhen Liu appeared in Kit’s field of view, they proceeded to do a quick yet respectful bow. Evidently, the girls present at the time couldn’t help but find the term, “master”, a bit weird to hear in relation to Zhen Liu. They were used to he kaijin calling him, “lord” or… literally any other term. The word “master” just didn’t sound like the right title to give him.
Regardless, pleasantries were out of the way, Zhen Liu decided to get to the meat of the matter. Well…Kit asked first.
“While it’s good to see you again, master, but why are you here? Weren’t you and your family heading towards Willow Scale to resolve some sort of issue with the main branch?”
Yet another drawback to Kit’s situation was that they didn’t get any updates from the [Library of Nowhere]. While Logos and Pathos could get information and dats from Kit, they weren’t able to send any to them. Again, not a massive issue but a bit annoying to say the least.
“Oh, that? Yeah, we managed to resolve that after a tournament, a terrorist attack and a sudden engagement to an Imperial Princess, but I’ll explain more later. I’m more focused on you and Elsa. How have things been?”
“Things have been going fine, thank you for asking, master,” Kit replied. “We were worried about not being able to handle some of the going ons due to a sudden uptick in popularity, but Rodenia and her companions have been a big help in running the day to day business. Never thought a big insect kaijin would be that nimble with their hands.”
“That’s good to-hold up…did you just…big insect kaijin? Named…Rodenia?,” Zhen Liu asked with a strange look in his eyes. The moment this look appeared in his face, Jinju Ren, Jin Fang and Rianna couldn’t help but get a little worried about him.
“Xiao Liu? Are you okay?”
“Gimme a second…okay, Kit? Would you mind leading us back to your shop and introducing me to this Rodenia?”
“Of course, master. I was returning anyways to bring back some fresh fruit. You and your consort eternals are in a for a treat. Mama Elsa has been improving her candied apple recipes.”
“Consort eternals?”
“I kinda like that.”
“Shouldn’t we be referred to as kaijin lad-actually, saying that out loud. It doesn’t work.”
“Thank you, Kit.”
And with that short exchange of pleasantries out of the way, Zhen Liu followed Kit back to the candy store that his grandparents owed their lives to.
Granted, his now restful shopping trip had just become an unannounced wellness check up.

‘The fuck they mean a “giant insect kaijin” named Rodenia?!’
∆Whoopsies, I knew we forgot about something.∆
=To be fair, their signal is so erratic that we honestly forgot they existed.=
∆Yeah…∆
‘I-wait, erratic? Why? Is she dying?’
∆No, no, nothing like that. It’s just that…the way you created her was out of your league and wheelhouse, so we haven’t able to adjust everything to be able to connect to her normally. We also didn’t tell you, because you had way bigger things to worry about.∆
‘I…I feel like I should be angrier at that sentence…regardless, what do y’all mean by method of creation? How was she created?’
=Remember several months back, when you blasted that one pseudo-abomination named Grub with the [Ragnarok Shot]? Long story short, you didn’t hit just him with the blast of energy.=
‘Oh…is Rodenia another giant spider?’
∆=No, you’ll see when you get there.=∆
‘Great…’

Meanwhile, at the aforementioned candy store…
“Be careful with how you fold those candy molds. It won’t ruin the flavor or anything like that, but it will distort the pictures.”
“Yes ma’am.”
“Rodenia, be gentler this time around. I know you’re eager but slow and steady makes the best taffy.”
“Yes’m!”
In a scene that was wholesome yet surreal, but leaning a bit more towards wholesome, Elsa Reinhart was in the middle of prepping candy for tomorrow’s sale, whilst being assisted by a pair of svelte humans, one man and one woman, and a four armed insectile kaijin woman.
This group was Leon, Isa and Rodenia, respectively.
Several weeks ago, the three of them had wound up on Elsa’s door unexpectedly, where they met not only her but her kaijin child made of taffy and metal named Kit.
The two kaijin hit it off surprisingly well, despite having discordant personalities.
Perhaps it was due to them both being kaijin, but nobody knew for certain.
What was known though was that Rodenia, Ise and Leon were at Elsa’s shop because Rodenia had sensed something related to her and she wanted to know why.
After that initial meeting, Elsa proceeded to tell the trio what little she knew in regards to Kaijin and their makers, the Kaijin Lords, and how the current one had bestow Kit to her.
The two missionaries found this statement hard to believe, but the believing was seeing as they say.
The trio were originally going to continue on to Willow Scale to find this “kaijin lord”, but had opted to stay in Pearl Scale Harbor instead at Elsa’s suggestion.
In her words, “That boy is most likely going to have to return here in order to get back to Stampeding Bison. Why don’t you three stay here and help out?”
As such, the trio of two humans and a wild kaijin spent the past few weeks making candy and waiting for a guy who might not even-
*Ding-a-ling*
“Mother, I’m home! And I brought the kaijin lord with me!”
“Gasp! My maker?!”
Then again, life had been making it a habit to mess with these two missionaries in a most unexpected way.
