Chapter 806: Out of the Fire…
“Huh…I figured he’d be a bit madder about the fact that we technically forged his signature on a lot of questionable business dealings,” Lucille commented.
“To be fair, a lot of people suddenly become a lot cooler with certain activities once they learn about the benefits that come with such things,” Aranea retorted.
“True.”
Earlier in the day, Lucille(Lacerage) and Aranea(Arachnidame) were supposed to host a lecture to explain to the Zhen Clan scions about the ins and outs of the Zhen Clan’s new wandering ruin.
Unfortunately, they weren’t able to due to being dragged into a last minute meeting with Patriarch Zhen Shi and several of the elders, over the fact that the two secretaries of the Zhen Clan forged a few signatures for the sake of clan and urban development.
They were initially pissed at this revelation, but their tune changed when Aranea and Lucille presented their case as to why they did what they did, in the form of some very large numbers.
As such, the two of them were left were a warning and sent off to go do their regular duties.
However, just as the two disguised kaijin were about to go and do their separate things, a rather worrying voice in their heads suddenly sounded off.
<=Emergency! Emergency! The Library has been breached! The Library has been breached! Void Recall protocol has been activated, Void Recall protocol has been activated. All kaijin, prepare for teleportation to the Library. All kaijin, prepare for teleportation to the Library.=>
“Oh. That can’t be goo-”
*Pop*
Before either of them could lodge a complaint, the two disguised kaijin. Proceeded to disappear like bubbles in the wind.
Luckily for them, nobody was around to see them teleport…but there was someone who heard them.
‘Kaijin? Library? Why do those terms sound so…familiar?’

You’re certain they’re gone, right?
|Fairly certain, we literally saw them walk through the door.|
Okay… you’re gonna have to change those locks.
|Yeah, I do…|
…
Due to the absolute…insanity that has occurred in the last few chapters, the writer of this work would like to take this time to provide a more… succinct summary of what had occurred.
This will be rather informal, but informational.
For the sake of clarity, we’re going to be starting with the intervention from three separate angles and mention some factors that influenced some decision making.
…
For this entire summary, keep in mind that the orphan siblings that Zhen Liu picked up, Jasper and Janice, are off hiding somewhere inside the arena in order to stay out of trouble.
…
When Zhen Liu started going crazy and attack Olstenna with reckless abandon, Zhen Hai, Hurricroak, Screamira and Frosttusk all, indeptenly of each other, decided to intervene in order to give Zhen Liu time to regain control of himself. While that was happening though, the Zhen Clan scions had decided to try and walk down into the arena and get involved themselves.
Zhen Hai fired off an electrified water shark in order to stun Olstenna, Frosttusk merged with Zhen Liu’s [Regalia] in order to cool hm for down while Screamira and Hurricroak released a coordinated attack that sounded a lot like a screaming power note.
The power note scream managed to stun Olstenna long enough for Zhen Hai’s attack and Frosttusk’s possession attempt to go off without a hitch, but it also had the unintended consequence of knocking out Zhen Hai for a hot minute, alongside the other Zhen Clan scions.
Shortly after this moment, three new antagonists named Inquisitor Malifax Dupont and the Calamity Sisters, showed up out of nowhere in order to capture Zhen Liu. The former wanted him for some prophetic nonsense, while the latter two wanted to know where the Demon’s Archive was.
Not wanting to deal with that nonsense, Zhen Liu had all of the kaijin, except for Frosttusk,Archanidame and Lacerage, get involved and fight off all three of these assholes. Unexpectedly, Olstenna ended up pitching a helping hand because of wanting a honorable duel.
Thankfully, this gave Zhen Liu the opportunity to peel away from the fight and evacuate the children.
After a bit of running around, Zhen Liu managed to find the Jasper and Janice and open a door to the Library of Nowhere, so that the latter two children could safely leave the area.
However, just as the children were about to cross the threshold to safety, all six of Zhen Liu’s cousins had managed to regain consciousness and found him just as he was about to make his exit…only, they didn’t know it was him.
A verbal confrontation occurred as Zhen Liu debated with himself if he needed to knock out his cousins in order to wipe their memories, only for the whole affair to suddenly end when the door connecting the arena to the Library suddenly turned into a spatial vacuum.
Zhen Liu didn’t know it at the time, but while this is all happening, Victor, Simos and Graff were busy trying to get back into the arena via a new technique that Victor developed in correlationsl to his Spatial Beaver bloodline.
In other words, he was trying to chew through space, and had somehow managed to chew into the spatial tunnel that Zhen Liu had left wide open.
The next thing Zhen Liu, his cousins or any of the kaijins knew, they were all whisked away by an unstoppable force.
As for what happened next…well…it’s more fun to show than tell.

[Sweet mother of Chaos, what happening?!]
[I-I don’t know! One minute, we’re fighting a ton can and a pair of creepy sisters. The next, we’re…floating? I don’t think we’re dying though…]
[Logos, Pathos! You incorporeal pendejos, what is going on?!]
<=The spatial array used to connect the Library of Nowhere to the Nowhere Key has been compromised by an outside force. As such, the array has forcibly recalled residents and keepers of the Library to prevent any further damage.=>
[Oh…that sounds…bad.]
<=That's not the worst part.=>
[That’s not the worst part?!]
[What’s the worst part?]
<=WE'VE BEEN COMPROMISED!=>
[OH SHI-wait…if they’re intruders, we can just-]
<=BY OUR LORD'S FAMILY!=>
[OH FUCK!]

“INCOMING!”
“WAIT, IS THAT A FLOOR?!”
“DON’T CARE! XIAO GUO, LANDING MANEUVER!”
“RIGHT!”
The Zhen Clan scions had found themselves in a rather peculiar situation.
One moment, they were arguing with a giant weirdo that gave off the same feeling as that creepy dude calling himself the “Kaijin Lord”, the next, they found themselves falling towards a marble floor from an incredibly great height.
Luckily, they were trained for such things.
[Paradise Parasol:Disperse!]
With a wave of his hand, Zhen Guo summoned forth his aether treasure parasol and willed it to split into six giant feathers.
“Phew! Thanks for the save!”
“Thanks, Zhen Guo.”
“Oof! I think I just jumbled my beans…”
“Gross.”
Under his manipulation, the feathers served as makeshift parachutes for the Zhen Clan scions, allowing them to safely float down to the ground instead of impacting it face first.
While they could’ve technically tank the hit due to their physiques, they didn’t want to risk the possibility of the marble being made of something harder than themselves.
Once all of the scions made contact with the ground, and Zhen Guo recalled the feathers to his parasol, Zhen Yue proceeded to take the lead.
“Alright, sound off. Is everyone alive, present and okay?”
“Yes.”
“Yeah.”
“Mostly.”
“My ears are ringing.”
“Wait a minute is anybody else hearing a whistling-”
“LOOKOUT!”
*BOOM!*
“-HOLY SHIT!”
Moments after the Zhen Clan scions had managed to touch down on the ground without injury, a huge object followed after them and made a massive impact.
The object had almost fallen Zhen Tai, but Zhen Hai managed to pull him out of the impact zone before he could get flattened.
“You good?”
“Yeah…thanks, bro.”
“Anytime.”
“Guys…you might want to come see this…”
The Zhen Clan scions were more or less scattered as a result of the massive crater suddenly forming, but they were still in talking distance with one another.
As such, Zhen Hai and Zhen Tai only had to get themselves up and walk a very short distance to join their four other cousins as they were staring into the massive smoking crater.
“Okay, what did you guys want us to…huh.”
Evidently, once Zhen Hai and Zhen Tai saw what the others were seeing, they were rendered speechless.
For laying in the crater that had formed after they had arrived, was none other than that strange giant warrior that they had confronted with only moments ago.
The scions continued to stare for a couple seconds, before breaking the silence to make some observations and plan their next move.
“Is…is he dead?”
“No. It looks like he’s breathing.”
“In that case…should we try and tie him up?”
“With what rope?”
“Well…”
“Wait! Look!”
Before the Zhen Clan scions could argue further, the giant in the crater started to glow with a light that they were rather familiar with.
“Wait a minute…that giant guy is wearing a [Regalia]?!”
“What kind of [Regalia] gets that huge?”
