Kaijin Fighter: So I Have to Make Monsters, So What? – Chapter 962

Buzzing Bad Idea

Chapter 945: Buzzing Bad Idea.

“That’s your cue, Matriarch.”

“Huh? Oh right…wait, why am I having trouble thinking? I’m usually more-”

“Hah! I keep forgetting how susceptible you mortals get when first exposed to [Chaos]! It’s always funny, but not needed right now. Give me a moment…,” Buzza said with an apologetic tone.

Literally seconds after this apology was made, the weird feeling that and been plaguing Gao Shen Yuan’s body and mind has suddenly retracted.

“Oh that’s…unexpected as hell…thank you.”

“No worries.”

Gao Shen Yuan still felt like swearing, but to a much lesser degree than before. Plus, she could think properly again.

“That was…an oddly familiar experience…”

“Oh? How so?,” Buzza asked with a tone of insincere curiosity. He already had an idea as to why he felt familiar to the Fallen matriarch, but he still wanted to hear it come from her mouth.

“I’m not sure, but…extreme irritation, desire to cursed and a burning need to rip apart my opponent, itbwas almost like the times I challenged Matriarch of the Zhen Clan to…hey wait a minute, does she have [Chaos] too? Is it genetic? Or did she get her hand on such a power by coming here?

“Bahahahaha!,” Buzza suddenly burst out laughing…again.

“I never met this matriarch, and I highly doubt that zzzomeone from a prim and proper zzzect would agree to my methodz of empowerment,”Buzza answered. “Not everyone wantzz to be grafted with the dead, after all. Well…not quite dead.”

“Excuse me?”

“Oh come on Matriarch, how’d you think I got this arm?,” Gao Ao Long answered while flexing the aforementioned arm.

Over the past few weeks, the once unstable and rowdy arm that looked to be from separate being, had finally begun to settle down. Or, to be more accurate, Gao Ao Long had finally overpowered whatever remnant of consciousness was left in the arm, allowing him to make full use of it…well, partial use.

“But, the fact that you azked, impliezzz that perhapzzz you wish to obtain such power for yourzelf?,” Buzza asked in a tone that suggested he already knew the answer. But like any good deal maker, he made sure that his customer truly wanted what he was offering. After all, the most delicious assets, were the ones that were forfeited willingly.

Matriarch Gao Shen Yuan was silent for a couple of moments, seconds really, before she gave a short yet form nod.

“The War Elder said that you were able to give him his power after he acquired…something…from a tomb in Undertow. Is that correct?”

“I did.”

“Is it possible for you to do it again?”

“Easily,” Buzza replied with zero hesitation. “But do you have the materialz necezzary for such a procedure?”

“Not…yet.”

“Oh?”

“The guardian of Undertow, Tortallion, was much…stronger than anticipated,” Gao Shen Yuan readily admitted,”but that is precisely why I want to make use of him for this…procedure of yours. The only issue is that we don’t have the power necessary to do so.”

“If you’re azzking me to fight this old turtle so that you can benefit, I’d tell you to buzz off,” Buzza initially refused. “But you’re not here to ask me for azziztance in that regard, are you?”

“We Fallen may be considered an unorthodox or downright criminal sect in the eyes of the Pearl Scale Empire and beyond, but even we have our pride as cultivators,” Gao Shen Yuan confirmed. “What we want, is the ability to acquire his power for our own. Can you make that happen?”

“Hmmm.”

Buzza took on a thoughtful look as he began to scratch his chitinous chin with one of his long arms.

At this moment, Gao Shen Yuan couldn’t help but to feel that she had gone on a fool’s run…that is until, this statement came out of Buzza’s mouth.

“It is possible for me to do just that. But I can only do it for about…a half dozen or so of your warriors, including you. But I assume you don’t wish to participate in this first round?”

“Not yet, no.”

An odd feeling settled in Gao Shen Yuan’s gut once she heard Buzza’s reply. She should’ve felt as if a great weight was lifted off her shoulders, finally, a chance to earn the power that made the War Elder and the Zhen Clan’s Matriarch such meances her own! But at the same time, she couldn’t help but feel as if a great and terrible sword was about to be placed over her head.

‘Bigger picture, bigger picture,’ Gap Shen Yuan told herself before snapping a pair of aether enhanced fingers.

Snap

“Madam!”

In the blink of an eye and the snap of a finger, a dozen or so of the Fallen Clan’s most elite warriors had gathered from all over the [Darkshell Citadel] and presented themselves to the matriarch, the War Elder and the strange being calling himself Buzza, kneeling out of respect.

Every single last one of these warriors were actually Aether Grandmasters with a handful of them being Aether Lords.

There were actually more of them not too long ago, but the attack on Willow Scale City had led to some casualties. Regardless, the warriors present were still more than enough to rock most kingdoms and cities to rubble anyways.

“These are the finest warriors that we have managed to raise in my generation. Will they be suitable subjects for your purposes?”

“Hmmm.”

Prompted by Gao Shen Yuan’s words, Buzza proceeded to walk over to the kneeling elites and began to looked over all of them with a critical eye.

Well, whatever constituted as an eye in his wasp-like head.

“Hmmm, no good.”

“Pardon?”

Evidently, Buzza was not pleased with what he saw.

“Do not get me wrong, matriarch, your elitez are powerful warriorz by orthodox meazurementz, but to be able to wield [Chaos], to be able to withstand the meaz I have in mind, the requirementz are a little…different.”

“Different…how?”

“Eazzier to zzhow than to tell,” Buzza said as he lifted an arm towards the main building of the [Darkshell Citadel].

As he kept his arm aloft, the flesh and chitin composing it began to bulge and move as if something beneath the surface was breaking through. What followed was what Gao Shen Yuan expected.

Horrible sound of bursting flesh and chitin.

“Ew.”

From Buzza’s flesh came a swam giant wasps the size of well-fed rats.

The horrifying little buggers proceeded to fly directly over the well-discplined elite warriors of the Fallen, in favor of the citadel’s main building complex.

What followed was utter mayhem.

“What in the-SWEET GODS!”

“FIRST THE JELLYFISH AND NOW WASPS?!”

“WHY ARE THE WASPS IN THE UNDERGROUND IN THE FIRST PLACE?!”

“I DON’T KNOW AND-OH SHIT, THEY GRABBED GAO YUN!”

“IT WASN’T ENOUGH TO JUST KIDNAP ME, NOW THIS?!”

“What the…”

Matriarch Gao Shen Yuan was about to protest on what the hell Buzza was doing, but was stopped by the War Elder. The man had a look that read, “Just let the psychopathic bug man do his thing, he is a professional…sort of.”

“Well then, color me zzurprised. You have more than a handful of people compatible with my procedurezz, most imprezzive. But alas, I only have enough for five people. So these five will do.”

With another wave of his hand, the swarm of wasps returned from the complex, dragging with them five different people.

“Bwah!”

“Oof!”

“Kya!”

“Bitch!”

“…”

“Perfect.”

“Wait, are you serious?,” Gao Shen Yuan said as she saw the people that Buzza had selected. “These are the best of the ones that meet your criteria? Are you fucking with me?”

“I am not fucking with you, these are indeed the most compatible people prezent, other than yourzelf. Iz there a problem?”

“Multiple problems. Can you not see that?,” Gao Shen Yuan while gesturing towards Buzza’s chosen subjects.

The group in question consisted of an old man that used to be a powerful warrior in his day, but now appeared to be gnarled by age to the point of memory loss and needing a cane, a slave girl that looked like she came from beyond the borders of Roaring Tide and had rough knees but soft hands, a slacker disciple who just barely eeks pass getting used as shark bait by the rest of the clan, a mute who was so painfully average that people doubted he existed most days and a foreign royal prince that the Fallen thought would make for a good ransom for, but turned out to be one of thirty.

In other words, this group wasn’t composed of well-discplined elites, but a bunch of outcasts and nobodies that were about as useful on the battlefield as an armless infant.

Despite this fact being obvious, Buzza didn’t seem to mind. In fact, he seemed to prefer it.

“The thing about [Chaos] is that it’s not zzomething that can be wielded by thoze with a ztiff back and ztiffer mindset. It’s much more uzzeful in those emotional foolzz that follow their heart more than their head.”

As he explained another pair of giant wasps had suddenly appeared with a large box in their grips.

“Besides,” Buzza said in a complete different tone of voice once the box was in his hands. “If anything goes wrong, consider this as just losing your less…valuable personnel.”
