Chapter 296: Alaric’s sudden visit
After thoroughly teasing the trembling, haughty princess…. Now it’s Aether’s time to tremble.
“Stop it! Principal!!” Aether’s voice echoed through the training hall, filled with pain and frustration as the Principal twisted his body with her bare hands.
What for?
Supposedly, it was all part of his training regimen!
At least, that’s the excuse she kept giving….. Aether knew better; she was exacting revenge for yesterday’s event, where he’d ‘accidentally’ embarrassed her.
“Oh? Come on, Aether… If you can’t handle this, how are you going to manage when I start breaking bones for real?” The Principal’s grin was as sharp as a blade, her eyes gleaming with a dangerous, almost predatory intent.
‘This old hag!’ Aether cursed inwardly. His thoughts must have shown on his face because the Principal’s lips curved into a serene smile, “Did you think something bad about me?”
“O-Of course nottttrrrarrrrhhhhhh!!” Aether’s denial turned into a scream as she twisted his body further. The pressure on his bones intensified until he heard a sickening crack.
Crack, Crack…
“FUCK!!” Aether yelled, panic lacing his voice at the sound of cracking bones. Before he could react, the Principal flung him across the room with a force that would have shattered anyone else.
Instead of crashing to the ground, Aether’s body moved with an unexpected fluidity. He landed smoothly, his feet barely making a sound. “Huh?” He looked at his hands, then back at the Principal, astonished by the newfound grace in his movements.
The Principal smirked, a hint of pride mingling with her amusement, “Did you get into a fight with someone of a higher level?” she asked, her tone both curious and knowing.
Aether furrowed his brows, confusion clear in his expression. “What do you mean?”
“Your muscles and bones were stiff as if they’d been broken by strong one and healed repeatedly. They were quite rigid, so I twisted your body a few times to loosen everything up,” she explained, her voice as casual as if discussing the weather. Her eyes narrowed slightly, studying his reaction. “Did you fight someone stronger?”
“… Yes”

“Did you win?”
“Sadly… I lost. Utterly defeated, couldn’t even scratch their body,” Aether confessed, bitterness evident in his tone.

The Principal studied him intently for a moment, then walked over, her steps deliberate and measured. Aether tensed, every muscle in his body on alert.
He didn’t know what to expect—another brutal lesson, perhaps?
But instead, the Principal did something unexpected: she gently patted his head.
“You did your best and survived… I’m Proud,” she said, her voice surprisingly soft though she wasn’t sure what happened but she did guess after seeing his growth in a small amount of time.
The unexpected kindness in her words struck a chord deep within Aether. His eyes welled up with tears, and before he knew it, he was rushing towards her, seeking comfort like a child.
“Principal!!” he cried, trying to hug her, craving the warmth and reassurance of her praise.
But the Principal’s expression hardened. “Hell no, brat!” she snapped, catching his face in her hand and shoving him back with enough force to send him sprawling. She wasn’t fooled; she knew when he was acting, and her eyes narrowed with a mix of annoyance and amusement.
Aether landed on the ground, unscathed. He clicked his tongue in frustration, “Tsk,” he muttered, glaring up at her. She never let her guard down, not even for a second. It was infuriating.
But then, out of nowhere, a sharp, piercing sound filled the room.
Ding~Dong
…..
….
The principal sat gracefully on the plush sofa, her eyes keenly fixed on…. Alaric sat before her, “What a sudden surprise, Alaric! What’s the reason for this untimely visit?” the Principal asked, her tone measured but laced with curiosity.
Alaric returned the smile, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes, “I apologize for coming without prior notice, Principal. I hope I haven’t interrupted anything important—”
A sharp voice cut through the air, dripping with irritation. “Tsk, you interrupted my private training session with my only Principal,” Victor interjected, his tone filled with barely concealed disdain.
Alaric’s smile faltered, his face turned ugly as his focus shifted to Victor, who lounged a little too comfortably beside the Principal.
There was something about Victor’s casual proximity that set Alaric on edge.
“Victor, respect your elders,” the Principal admonished, her voice carrying an edge that demanded compliance.
Victor merely shrugged, turning his head away in a dismissive gesture that only deepened Alaric’s anger. The sight of Victor, so casually close to the Principal, made Alaric’s blood boil…. He never even had that chance!!
Alaric could feel the veins on his forehead pulsing, but he forced himself to maintain composure, “It’s fine, Principal. As your sole disciple, it’s natural for him to exhibit some arrogance. After all, without it, one risks being overrun by others.
He’s a…. good student,” Alaric remarked, his voice smooth like his ass!
Victor looked at him as if he was licking her foot like a dog.
“Anyhow, tell me the reason for your visit,” the Principal said, steering the conversation back on track.
Alaric’s expression grew serious as he cleared his throat, “I’ve come regarding the matter of Professor Kennedy…. ” His voice trailed off as he noticed Victor inching closer to the Principal.
“Go on,” Principal said.
“Ahem, I’ve heard that one of the victims has made a full confession…” Alaric paused again, his jaw tightening as Victor’s hand casually rested on the sofa behind her back and slowly that hand subtly brushed the Principal’s shoulder.
The sight made his blood boil!!!
“Alaric”
“Y-Yes, where was I? Ah! I was wondering if I could speak with the victim,” Alaric continued, trying to keep his voice steady despite the anger simmering beneath the surface. His eyes flickered with a dangerous glint, barely holding back his rising fury.
The Principal’s frown deepened slightly, “I’m sorry, Alaric, but I cannot disclose details about the victim. It’s a matter of confidentiality,” she explained, her tone firm and unyielding.
Alaric pressed on, his voice taking on a pleading edge. “Principal, like you, I want to support our students. I believe it’s important for me to understand the full context—”
Before the Principal could respond, Victor, who had been silently observing the exchange, interjected, his voice sharp and accusatory, “And what exactly do you intend to discuss with the victim?”
