Chapter 302: He is moving on with his plan
Every academy had its ghost stories… and SAA was no exception.
Students often recounted eerie encounters, whispering about strange occurrences in hushed tones. They spoke of mirrors that seemed to have a life of their own, reflections that would suddenly speak, their spectral voices sending shivers down spines.
Sometimes these supernatural merely scared them….. but there were times when they offered cryptic warnings, leaving the students bewildered and terrified.
This unsettling phenomenon had persisted at SAA for years.
It was a mystery that no one, not even the most powerful sovereigns, could unravel.
Some believed it was that ‘Arcane/Mother’ was trying to reach out to the students, perhaps playing tricks on them or delivering messages from beyond.
“I see…” Victor murmured, his voice tinged with curiosity and concern as he absorbed the details from Celestia.
“Even the Principal couldn’t pinpoint the cause… really?” Victor’s brows furrowed in surprise. He hadn’t imagined that such supernatural beliefs held in this world.
“Yes, it’s not just the current Principal. Even the previous Sovereigns, with all their wisdom and resources, couldn’t find an explanation,” Celestia replied, her tone serious and thoughtful.
She had always followed Victor discreetly, observing him from the shadows, but this situation was unprecedented. Hearing the disembodied voice using Victor’s image had unnerved her, sending chills down her spine.
It was really creepy how the ghost used Victor’s image!!
Even more, she didn’t even notice its presence and yet…
‘Let’s not tell the truth, otherwise, he will tease me’ She thought to herself and deeply wondered how Victor was able to sense it.
Victor turned to Celestia, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully. He handed her a list of items he needed, peculiar items that piqued her curiosity. Just as she began to question the list,
Thud
“Victor!” The sudden voice made both of them start. Ashara hurried over, concern etched on her face as she saw Victor standing alone, leaning against the wall, deep in thought.
“How is she?” Victor asked, his voice betraying a mixture of anxiety and guilt. He noticed Celestia’s sudden disappearance and thought to himself, ‘I’d love to learn that technique… but Celestia said she won’t teach me until I find her.’
Ashara gestured towards the room, her expression softening. Inside, Victor found Kyra lying peacefully on the bed, her body now healed. The sight brought a wave of relief over him, but he still couldn’t shake the feeling of responsibility weighing on his shoulders. He turned to Helena, who was watching over Kyra.
“She’s doing fine, right?” he asked.
Helena nodded, offering a reassuring smile, “Yes, the wounds have healed perfectly. She just needs rest now.”
Victor let out a long sigh, the relief palpable in his voice. “Sigh,” he breathed, feeling some of the burden lift.
Helena’s gaze sharpened as she looked at Victor. “You… What exactly is going on here?” she demanded, her tone firm but not unkind.
Victor remained silent, and Helena frowned, stating, “If you don’t say anything, I’ll inform the Principal.”
Before Victor could give her an excuse, Ashara immediately said, “She is the victim of molesting”
Victor almost facepalmed, He looked at Ashara, who was now biting her lip nervously. She met his gaze with wide eyes, unsure if she had blurted out. “S-Should I not have said that?” she asked hesitantly.
Ashara really had a good impression of Helena. She had thought Helena would be able to situation carefully.
Victor sighed deeply, He began to explain everything that had happened, recounting the events in detail.
Helena listened, her expression shifting from confusion to shock as she processed the information, “I… I can’t believe Professor Kennedy would do something like that,” she said, her voice trembling with disbelief, “Should I… should I confront those seniors?” she asked, her tone hardening with anger.
The injustice of what happened to Kyra was unbearable to her.
Victor shook his head, “No, that would only make things worse. For now, we need to handle this carefully,” he cautioned, knowing that any rash actions could escalate the situation.
Helena nodded, though her face showed she was far from satisfied with the situation.
She excused herself, heading back to her class, leaving Ashara and Victor alone with Kyra.
Ashara looked at Victor, a pang of guilt gnawing at her. She remembered her words from yesterday, telling Kyra that Victor would handle everything. And now, seeing the weight of the situation, she felt responsible for putting that burden on him.
She opened her mouth to speak, then closed it, uncertain of what to say. Victor noticed her distress and offered a gentle smile. “You should get back to class, Ashara. If you don’t, Alaric will start looking for you, and we don’t need more complications right now.”

Ashara hesitated, glancing at Kyra one last time before nodding and leaving. She walked away, her mind swirling with thoughts and emotions.
Left alone with Kyra, Victor felt a deep sense of guilt.
He approached her bed and quietly said, “I’m sorry.”
The words felt heavy, echoing in the still room.
Kyra stirred, her voice weak and tremulous, “S-So, you did come… huh?” she murmured, her eyes slowly opening to reveal tears. She looked at Victor, her expression a mix of relief and pain.

Victor’s heart clenched at the sight of her. Her pained expression was like a dagger to his chest. He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. “I-I didn’t expect this to happen—” he began.
Kyra shook her head, her voice barely above a whisper, “It’s fine… It’s all my fault,” she said, her gaze fixed on the ceiling, her eyes glazed over with tears.
“No! You didn’t do anything wrong… It’s me, I should have been more vigila—” Victor insisted, his voice rising with frustration.
But Kyra cut him off again, her voice trembling, “No, it’s on me. I was the one who went after them… I thought I could help the others,” she confessed, her voice breaking.
She explained how she had approached the principal, trying to gather the other victims so they could speak out together. She hadn’t handled it as discreetly as Victor might have, which had led to her being targeted by the Kenley group. They had cornered her and… hurt her in unimaginable ways.
Victor fell silent. He watched as tears streamed down Kyra’s cheeks, “I-I just wanted to help… to give others the courage you gave me… But… I… I… failed,” she choked out, her voice filled with despair.
Tears streamed from her eyes. Victor clenched his teeth before moving closer and sitting beside her… keeping a small distance.
Seeing her trembling hand, Victor gently, slowly, touched her finger with his own… Kyra flinched before allowing Victor to touch her finger.

“Aawwwwww…” she whimpered, the sound filled with pain. She relived the horrors she had endured, alone in that restroom, beaten, her hair pulled, and her dress torn. The memory was a torment she couldn’t escape.
Anyone in that situation would have been scared, and she was no different…
As she cried, Victor quietly listened.
….
…
Eventually, Kyra’s tears subsided, and she drifted into a fitful sleep. Victor watched her for a moment, then quietly left the room, heading to… the laboratory.
Yes, the Principal had granted him access to the lab, allowing him to borrow one of the tools, though it was understood he had to return it when requested. These tools were the property of the Academy, after all.
And…. He failed to get his hug!
As he entered the room, a strange sense of foreboding washed over him….. The laboratory was quiet, almost eerily so, and the dim lighting cast long shadows that flickered ominously.
Victor moved towards a specific piece of equipment, used for etching Transparent Crystals.
He needed one more, but… he was content with this!
It was only a matter of time before… he would execute his plan.
A slow, unsettling smile spread across his face as he thought about what was to come.
“Hehe…” he chuckled softly, the sound echoing in the empty room.
But then,
Thud
His smile faded when he heard that sound.
