Chapter 359: Reject it…. Dear.
Aether wasn’t entirely sure of the extent of the backlash Helena was enduring, but he had anticipated that Arcane would show some leniency toward her… considering Helena was one of the “Beloved’s” chosen targets.
[…]
‘But it seems she’s ruthless…’ Aether thought.
[…]
Ignoring the dots, His eyes traced the jagged cracks spider-webbing across the dome, His eyes flickered as he could see in the black-white image, he could see a colourful of energy slowly seeping inside… ‘It looks like the energy is leaking through the gap…’ His mind raced.
His gaze shifted to Kenley, lying there, unconscious and utterly defeated.
And then….. The Monster’s remains or should disgusting flesh and Metal parts…. he knew everything was finished at last.
Though in a way that felt unexpectedly anticlimactic, still, everything was fine and now…
“Victor!” Aether called.
Victor responded immediately, he broke the weakened barrier.
Without hesitation, Aether rushed to Helena’s side, his heart pounding in his chest.
He knelt beside her, his hands trembling slightly as they gently cupped her pale, motionless body.
He inhaled deeply…. He knew what he had to do!
The surrounding students began to gather, their faces etched with concern and fear. They exchanged anxious glances, their voices hushed as they approached Aether and Helena.
“I-Is she alright?” one of the students asked, their voice barely above a whisper, laden with worry.
Aether forced a small smile, “Yes,” he assured them softly, “She just overextended herself, using too much of her powers. She needs some time to recover. Could you all help me move her to a bed? Once she’s settled, we’ll deal with the dome.”
A collective sigh of relief swept through the group.
The danger had finally passed, and with it, the crushing weight of fear began to lift. They no longer needed to concern themselves with the dome… they trusted Victor and Aether to take care of it.
Aether’s calm presence reassured them, and they moved with purpose to assist him.
‘Spit’
“Bitch!” A girl, who pleaded for help, now spat venomously at Kenley’s unconscious form.
Then she returned to the others who were focused on tending to wounds and administering first aid…
Aether, though, paid her no mind. His attention was wholly on Helena as he carefully laid her down on a soft bed, his fingers lingering on her face…. He was waiting for something!
As he watched over her, a few girls slowly approached, their curiosity barely contained. They whispered among themselves, their eyes flickering between Aether and Helena. Finally, one of them mustered the courage to ask, “Soooo… you two are an… item?” [Author’s Note: ‘Item’ refers to lovers in some local slang.]
Aether glanced at the girl, his mind racing. Denying it would only fuel their curiosity, and they would undoubtedly spread rumours regardless. With a resigned sigh, he nodded. “Yes,” he admitted, his voice tinged with awkwardness. “But please, don’t tell anyone else.”
The girls exchanged wide-eyed looks, their expressions a mix of surprise and glee. They couldn’t help but smile at each other, barely able to contain their excitement. This was the juiciest piece of gossip they could have ever hoped for!
A Forbidden Romance between A Servant and A Saintess!!
It was scandalous, thrilling, and utterly irresistible… as the girls leaned in closer to each other, buzzing with whispers…. Victor appeared out of nowhere.
The sudden presence of Victor sent a chill down their spines. Even though they knew he was their saviour, there was something about him that always set them on edge. His mere proximity was unsettling, and as they instinctively tried to step back, he spoke in a voice so cold, that it froze the air around them.
“If this gets out, I will kill them.”
The words were like a blade, slicing through the frivolity of their gossip. Victor’s voice, indifferent and deadly, echoed not only in their ears but throughout the entire stadium. Every student flinched, their attention snapping at him in horror.
The colour drained from the girls’ faces, “O-of course, we won’t say anything. It’s a promise!” they stammered in unison, their voices trembling,
Still,
“Not just the person who speaks,” Victor continued, his tone devoid of any emotion, “but every single one of you. I will kill you all.”
His words sent a wave of terror rippling through them.
The threat was so unreasonable! so terrifyingly real!! that they could hardly process it. Victor wasn’t just threatening one person—he was ready to kill everyone if even a whisper of this secret escaped.
Before they could even nod in terrified agreement, Victor began to list every one of the students presented their names, “Shin, Lami, Khan…” Each name he spoke seemed to drain the life from their faces, leaving them pale and trembling.
Of course, it was Celestia who was feeding him the information… She was, after all, remarkably skilled at gathering every detail, no matter how small.
Aether smiled inwardly as he saw the dread etched on their faces. The fear, the palpable tension—it was exactly what he needed to maintain control. But he knew this wasn’t the end of it.
There was always one fool, one reckless individual who couldn’t resist curiosity…
“D-Don’t you think it’s unreasonable to kill everyone just because of one idiot?” a boy’s voice rang out, shaky but defiant.
The murmurs of agreement rippled through the crowd as the students exchanged uneasy glances, their frowns deepening.
They weren’t planning to spread rumours; they just couldn’t fathom the extremity of Victor’s threat.
Victor’s cold eyes locked onto the boy, and he began to move toward him with a deliberate, menacing pace. The boy’s bravado crumbled as Victor approached, and he instinctively shrank back in fear, “W-What?” the boy stammered, his voice betraying his rising panic.
Victor didn’t bother with further words. He simply stated, “I will take care of your family,” before his hand shot out, gripping the boy’s neck with terrifying ease.
“W-What are you doing? L-Let me go——-”
Snap
“!!!!”
The boy’s body went limp in Victor’s grasp, and the colour drained from the faces of every student who bore witness… as they watched Victor toss the lifeless body aside as if it were nothing more than trash.
Victor’s gaze swept over the remaining students as he cracked his neck, the motion casual, almost bored. “Does anyone else want me to take care of their family?” he asked, his voice devoid of any warmth.
“…..”
Sssssshhhhhhhh
Only a small breeze answered his question.
Victor’s frown deepened. “Answer me…” The demand was cold, and merciless, reverberating through the stadium like a command from death itself.
“NO, SIR!!!!!! DEFINITY NOT!!” The students’ response was immediate and frantic, their voices trembling with terror.
Victor nodded, seemingly satisfied.
Aether exhaled quietly, a subtle sigh of relief escaping his lips.
He knew his actions were extreme, going far beyond what was necessary, but it was a calculated move. There could be no loose ends, no chance for anything to unravel. A single misstep could lead to disaster later on, and that was a risk Aether couldn’t afford to take.
He could not fuck himself!!
As he scanned the crowd, he saw the students’ eyes—wide, horrified, and utterly traumatized. It was cruel, but it had worked. The fear that now gripped them would ensure their silence, and that was the outcome Aether needed.
Satisfied, Aether turned his gaze back to Helena, allowing himself one last look before moving to assist the students.
Meanwhile…
The boy who had been tossed like garbage twisted in mid-air, defying gravity with a fluid grace.
He landed on the ground, his feet barely making a sound as they touched down. With a sly smile, he reached up and plucked a small piece of wood from his neck, “It’s really amusing to play games…” he murmured to himself.
As he changed his attire…. Celestia’s form began to dissolve into the shadows.
At the same time…
Helena was staring at something entirely different…

“… Hmmm, what’s going on?” Helena mumbled her voice barely a whisper. Confusion filled her as she slowly turned and called out,
“Mother?”
The response was soft, almost ethereal,
“….Reject it, Dear.”
