Shen Yuan fluttered his eyes open, there was still a hint of red in them, signifying that his madness was not gone fully.
He heard water flowing outside the room, but he didn’t remember there being any lake or river around his mansion so he tried to sit up and looked left and right inside the room.
It looked unfamiliar to him but the sight of a cute cat caught his attention, he soon relaxed and dropped back on the bed.
Then he felt his whole body aching as he frowned his brows, but the pain didn’t feel that much to him.
He didn’t know the reason why he was feeling pain, but Yue Lan knew what was happening and if a normal cultivator on the same level as Shen Yuan were to undergo a similar level of pain then he would be crying on the ground due to intolerable pain.
But Shen Yuan didn’t even flinch as he merely frowned his brows in pain, Yue Lan jumped on the bed in front of him and put her paw on his head, she was back in her cat form already.
Not wanting Shen Yuan to see her human form for some reason. Shen Yuan looked at her and stopped trying to look around the situation, he just lay down and waited for her to tell him what was happening.

Yue Lan sighed softly as she poked his stomach lightly where his dantian was while saying, “Check your cultivation base.”
Shen Yuan felt surprised as this wasn’t the answer he was waiting for, he closed his eyes and focused his will on his dantian and body.

So he felt whatever he got was totally deserving, neither was it too low nor was it high. Perfect for the amount of effort he put in.
Yue Lan also stopped speaking when she noticed that Shen Yuan was deep in his own thoughts, after what felt like an eternity, he raised his head and asked Yue Lan.
“How strong do you think I am right now?”
Yue Lan pondered for a bit before she answered seriously while looking at him, “I don’t know exactly but you can definitely kill hundreds of your previous self with a raise of your hand.”
Shen Yuan looked at his hand as he felt that she had underestimated his ability, not only was he much stronger than that he had also comprehended something else during his cultivation.
He looked outside the window and waved his hand to send out a light slash of qi to slash out a branch from a tree, he used his qi to bring it back inside the room.
Yue Lan looked at him confusingly as she couldn’t comprehend what he was trying to do with a stick.
Shen Yuan smiled lightly as he spoke, “I also comprehend something during my cultivation this time around, I don’t know what it is so I would like you to take a look at it.”
He took a deep breath as he tried to focus, but alas his injuries made it impossible for him to gather his qi or even his will.
“Never mind, let me rest for now, I will show it to you later.” He released a long sigh as he felt as he tired.
