Chapter 113: [Brothers of Salvation]
‘So, he is the one controlling the withering, huh?’ I noted it down in my mind as I looked at the purple-haired mage.
“Uncurse,” spoke Trisha in a serious voice as she looked at the forest dying in front of her, and Nvida’s body glowed green as she added,
“Rejuvenate.”
The trees that were glowing dark were now greener than before as the spell of Nvida and Trisha took effect.
“Array Magic: Creation of a Silent Momento,” Crazy Manipulator spoke as a bunch of arrays formed in the air out of thin magic, and began forming a spell in an immediate fashion.
Mana began distorting around us, making it difficult to control it. Though the effect was little on Nvida and Trisha, who were master manipulators of the mana of their own domains.
-Slash!
A slash appeared from behind as it almost cut me down. But the blade stopped against my neck as it clanked, producing a loud sound.
Turning around, I saw a spear trying to pierce my neck, but stopped by an array that I created for emergency purposes. Though I modified it so that it wouldn’t be noticed by ordinary eyes, making me look invincible.
“It’s an array,” but the Crazy Manipulator saw through it easily as he looked at me with a serious gaze.
The guy who attacked me with a spear, took a step back before he repositioned himself properly.
[FreeStyle!]
The space turned white as I stood there in an empty space once again before recalling that spear guy’s face in front of me.
And then I generated his character in front of me, along with his spear.
‘Begin Simulation at 10% Power,’ I thought as I began fighting against that mage, defeating him within an hour of effort.
‘He really is good, huh?’ I thought before I started again, this time trying to read his moves better.
And time passed as I kept defeating him in less time, while increasing his powers percent by percent.
And after an unknown amount of time, when I was capable of killing him in less than 10 moves while him being at 120%, I finally moved out of the space.
“Death Spear Arts: Zero Bind,” he said as he attacked me at an insane speed from the left side.
And taking out an array, I then slightly jumped enough to dodge it while another to increase the speed of that spear, enough for that guy to lose control over it.
With increased speed, the spear almost slipped out of that dark mage’s hands, but it didn’t fall off. Though he lost his momentum because of it, I moved closer to him.
“DIE!!!!!!” Albedo, who was watching everything from the sidelines, also joined the mini dance which we were doing. Smh.
[Freestyle!]
And once again, I kept trying and finding ways out of the attacks that I was going to face.
Time passed again, and once I was sure that everything was under control, I moved out of the [Freestyle] space, looking at Albedo, almost striking at me.
-Whoosh!
Using an array, I once again jumped sideways and did a cartwheel before I landed a bit away from them.
Those two got side by side as they both looked at me with a serious face, while I smirked at them,
“Dance, shall we?”
-Whoosh!
The spear mage attacked first, and Albedo followed next, while I jumped forward, and parried the first attack and then pushed Albedo away using an array.
Using another array, I placed it on the spear mage’s feet, making him slip. He was skilled, so the effect was minimal, but it was enough to change the direction from where the attack was coming at me.
“Now we are talking,” I spoke with a smirk as I moved for a backflip.
The spear came from behind, and passed onwards as I back flipped over it, while Albedo, who was coming from above after being pushed away, landed right where I was.
“And to end all this,” I smiled as I looked at the arrays that I left on the ground right where they were standing.
“NEGLECT!!!!” shouted the Crazy Manipulator as he looked at those arrays, stopping them from activating before they could even work.
“Such a party popper,” I spoke with a sad smile as I looked at those 4 mages standing there looking at me with a dead serious look.
Even Trisha and Nvida, who were supposed to be fighting the other dark mages, gawked at me with a baffled look.
A strange tension developed between me and the dark mages as they all looked at me with a cautious look.
“May I know who are you?” asked the purple-haired mage as he looked at me and I smiled at him even more.
“Funny how people ask without introducing themselves first.”
Part of the reason for the tension was my lack of fear despite the situation against my favor.
They are probably thinking about the depths of my power, wondering if they could win against me if they go all out. Though that decision won’t be an easy one to make.
“Haze. My name is Haze,” the purple-haired mage spoke as he observed me carefully.
[Name: Tristan Clover
Race: Demihuman (Part Black Unicorn)
Level: 145
Class: Dual Mage (Curse + Wrath)
Stats*
Skills*]
“Is that so? Nice to meet you Haze,” I spoke as I observed his status. I couldn’t see through all his skills and stats, but I could see a bit of his power enough to gauge his power level.
“Yeah… ?” He looked at me with a confused face, wondering how to follow the conversation.
I then stretched before deciding to spout the first bullshit that was going to come to my mind.
“I am Wesker. One of the Seven Brothers of Salvation. As for our goal… it is related to a certain prophecy,” I said, making them gulp a little.
“Prophecy?” Nvida asked, as her eyes narrowed at me. Hmmm… the World Order knows about the first destruction prophecy, don’t they?
“Yeah. Something about the world being destroyed a couple of times. Our work is based on a promised,” I spoke as I began walking towards the purple mage while continuing,
“A promise that if we protect this world towards the very end, we will get to go back to our world.”
“Your world?” Asked the purple mage, and I nodded. Their eyes turned shocked as I continued,
“Not really important, to be honest. Though for now, we are spreading through the world, trying to prevent anything that could cause irreplaceable changes in this world.”
“Irreplaceable?” asked Trisha, and I smiled as I spoke,
“Like a demigod calling an Ancient God to the world.”
A cold wind blew, sending chills down to the last spine of everyone present there. Only an idiot won’t be able to figure out what those words employ.
“Adam,” the purple mage spoke as he observed me with a serious gaze before he asked for confirmation,” he is your brother?”
“Does that surprise you?” I asked, making an unamused face, making them gulp as Albedo spoke,
“It shouldn’t? He literally stopped a Demigod.”
“Well… if you look at it like that, then yeah. It does seem great. It’s not like you have seen the others in action as well. But he was a fool, to be honest,” I sighed, as if feeling dejected over a mistake that my ‘brother’ made.
“Fool?” Nvida asked this time.
“He ended up showing himself off to the world,” I said as I looked at Nvida before sitting on the ground comfortably as I asked the purple mage.
“I can’t exactly let you cause any dramatic changes to the world either, but if you can tell me what you are trying to achieve, maybe I can help you with it? Or if you want to fight, we can do that too… anything is fine by me.”
I laid on my back, relaxing as I closed my eyes without any tension.
“Wesker… are you going to betray us?” Trisha pleaded as she looked at me with a tensed look and turning towards her, I smiled before speaking,
“Not really. I am trying to find a stable ground where I don’t have to kill many. You might not know, but I don’t like unnecessary bloodshed. On that note, I will listen to you as well. Maybe I can give you both a solution that you both will like?”
I then closed my eyes again as I waited for their response to come.
Will they kill me? Or will they sit and talk? Perhaps they will demand something first? Who knows… let’s give them time to sort among themselves.
I thought it would be done within a moment, but I then heard Nvida talking to someone. From a rough guess, it probably was the World Order.
Trisha, too, seemed to be quiet as her eyes were closed. She was communicating with someone as well, wasn’t she?
And the dark mages were seemingly talking with someone through a crystal ball as I waited for them all to finish their thoughts.
It took time, but they made their decisions and came to me as Nvida spoke first.
“I will tell you everything.”
“I will too,” Trisha said.
“We will also, but we also want to meet with Adam and know more about you brothers,” the dark mage spoke, and I nodded with a smile,
“Well. Sure.”
