Chapter 124: [Black Shadow!]
Hell Guardians.
There were a total of 7 of them in number.
Each of them carries powers beyond what mortals can even imagine. Even the Gods didn’t dare to interfere with them, and left them in their own domains.
Though with great powers comes limitations of equal level.
Each guardian was tasked with protecting a part of the Hall Prison in order to prevent the escape of the imprisoned ones.
And that bound them to the part they were supposed to protect. In a limited area, from where they could never escape, despite having the powers to destroy the hell itself.
As once mentioned by a certain top player who ventured hell, the guardians are bound with rules and regulations that they can never break free from. As long as you follow the rules, none of the guardians can even touch you, let alone kill you.
In all honesty, I have only seen one Hell Guardian, Duraral. The Giant Demon, who protected the gates of the 4th Hell.
And trust me when I say this. Even if all the players of this world were to continuously attack that Hell Guardian for over a month, the max they could do was to bring down a percent of his health.
Which, by the way, would just rejuvenate at the end of the month because of a broken skill of his.
[Name: Black Shadow
Title: Hell Guardian
Race: Shadow Being

I looked up at him, flying in the air, as he observed the rest of us.
I couldn’t make out his eyes, or looks, or anything at all. From my point of view, he seemed like darkness itself. Yet it had eyes, it had a face; it had legs and arms… and yet…
“MOVE TO PHASE 2!!!” a voice resounded in the air, as one of the dark mages shouted.
And thus began flying more than 100s of dark mages in the air, spreading out like ants in this white dimension that had nothing but emptiness as far as the eyes could see.
-Shring!!!!
And a metallic sound rang in the air, deafening to say the least. It had a mysterious effect, as if it were stealing our life force from us. We felt weaker by the second.
[You are under the direct presence of a Hell Guardian!]
[All stats will be reduced by 90%!]
And I understood the reason behind it as well.
Those dark mages that were spreading out started falling down like flies that lost their wings. It was truly a sight to see.
Meanwhile, that Black Shadow just stayed in the air for a few moments.
“WAIT!!!” shouted the purple-haired mage, who was supposedly the current in charge of the dark mages.
All the dark mages stopped before they saw the purple-haired mage looking up in the air. And following his sight, everyone looked up. And soon, everyone present in the town as well looked up at that shadow being.
A strange fear filled in everyone’s eyes as they saw that being.
Silence covered the entire area as I stood there observing the entire situation. For this turn, I was just a simple observer.
Moments passed as that Shadow Being looked down at us, while we kept staring up in fear.
Perhaps I was the only one who could maintain somewhat of a composure in front of him.
And then… that being slowly descended.
That purple haired mage saw that being coming down and began flying up in the air. Seemed like he was trying to greet him or something? Or perhaps a surprise attack?
‘Fool,’ I thought as I saw that guy jumping to his own death.
Took a few moments, but the purple mage reached for that shadow being,
“Excuse me-”
-Sigh!
That Black Shadow took an exasperated sigh as he looked at that purple mage in front of him, and before anyone could even move a finger… that purple mage withered in front of our eyes.
“To think this one would be a failure as well,” said Black Shadow, seemed to be disappointed in something.
“ATTACK!!!!” Shouted Albedo, one of the dark mages, and as if by a wake up call, everyone jumped up in the air, and began attacking that being with all that they got.
‘Futile,’ I sighed as I saw them going up.
It wasn’t just them, but everyone from the Town, including Leena, Anna and Raven, was among them. It was probably by survival instinct that all of them jumped to attack that being.
“Die,” muttered that Black being as he pointed his finger towards us and a sharp ominous energy formed around his fingers.
It was at this moment that everyone realised how fucked we were.
I was but an observer in this turn… but then again…
[Mana Surge!]
[Wings of Dark Angel!]
[Light Embodiment!]
[Dark Embodiment!]
[Colours of the Gods!]
[One Way Out!]
[+257 Stats Added in Agility!]
-Swish!
And moving in front of that Black Shadow, I raised my hand, creating a small dark light shield that could absorb all forms of energies.
-BOOOM!!!!!
And once that energy hit that shield, it broke into pieces at once before hitting me directly.
[Last Hope!]
And my emergency skill, that had a 10% chance of success, activated as I stood there with 1 HP. Though I healed within a second, so it wasn’t much of a problem.
I stood in front of that Shadow Being, protecting everyone at the town, while everyone paused, looking at me with shock.
As for that shadow being, he seemed a bit more curious about me than surprised. His eyes seemed to read through each fiber in my body, which obviously didn’t give me a good feeling.
And then a smile formed on his face. That made me fly back away from him. I won’t lie… There was something seriously grave about this situation. I could feel it in my bones.
That black demon gave a spine chilling chuckle before he spoke something that I not once expected to hear here.
“A Fate Weaver, huh? The Heavens must be mocking me,” he spoke as his eyes turned red, and that curious smile changed into a cold one.
