Re: Player – Chapter 134

Chapter 134 One Step at a Time

Chapter 134: [One Step at a Time!]

“Mother?” Anna asked as she looked at me before she turned to Leena.

Leena, who was simply chewing the bread, looked at me for a few moments before asking,

“Why do you wanna know?”

“It’s important,” I mentioned before taking a sip from the tea.

“How important?” Leena asked again.

“High chance it involves her life and death… probably,” I answered as I gave it a bit of thought.

“Hmmm… well. She is currently in a safe place,” Leena spoke as she began eating the rest of the bread. Her mood seemed to turn a little sour.

‘Well, she is probably thinking that I am trying to get closer to her mother, just like every other person who approached her,’ I sighed as I realised that I might have phrased it wrong.

“Well. What’s going to happen in this town later is going to involve the lives of everyone present here. I am trying to analyse how many should I save and how many I should I leave,” I added as I took a bite of the bread.

Leena and Anna turned to me, with their expressions turning a bit better before they added,

“Well. If you put it that way… then… Our mother is really in a safe place. As long as we are alive, she would live too. Will that be enough?”

‘Hmmm… well, that doesn’t break any of the conditions so,’ I recalled through the mission once again before nodding at them.

“If that’s the case, then it’s fine. Though if she is going to pop out of nowhere in between the chaos that is about to happen, please tell me,” I pointed at that and both of them nodded.

‘Well, that takes care of one thing,’ I thought as I got up and stretched a little.

“I will be leaving now. Got a lot of things to deal with,” I muttered as I walked outside the shop, casually strolling through the streets as I met Mrs. Thompson and a couple of other familiar faces.

Reaching the gate, I greeted Herath, who seemed as busy as ever. And then, walking into the forest, I slowly reached the place where Nvida and Trisha were.

Just like the first time, Yemir used my arrays to trap Trisha while Nvida glared at me with intense hatred.

“Is this what you were planning for all along?!!” Nvida shouted as she blocked my path, while I simply walked towards where Trisha was.

“It’s fine. It’s Yemir, the Crazy Manipulator. Nothing to worry about,” I spoke as kept walking with a confident smile while Nvida just stood there without making any movements.

Reaching the lake, I then saw Trisha trapped in between the arrays in the sky, just above the center of the lake.

‘Well. Now that I have done it so many times,’ I then raised my hand, circulating my mana into the air with precision, right where my arrays were.

-Crack!

-Crack!

And like crackers, all the arrays began bursting out without causing any real damage. Trisha, who was unconcern until now, also gained consciousness as she slowly landed on the water.

Walking towards me, she looked at me with a complex look. It seemed she had a lot of questions… but before she could ask anything, another voice appeared from behind her.

“Seems like I have underestimated you, haha. Not something I expected to see in this rundown town,” a cheerful voice, contrasting the serious one that I have been hearing for now was heard.

The Yemir who had always been serious now looked like a jolly boy, enjoying his life in whatever situation he was.

“Is that him?” Nvida asked for confirmation, and I nodded before looking at Trisha, who seemed to be still contemplating about something.

“What?” I asked, a bit curious.

“Nothing… you seemed a bit different… that’s all,” she spoke before turning back at Yemir.

“[One with Zarraf!]” Nvida chanted as her eyes turned green, and the ground below him tore open like a mouth, and moved to chew Yemir into the ground.

“[Array Magic: Protection of the Faithless one!]” Yemir chanted as well. His face had an annoying punchable smile plastered over it as he stood there while the ground failed to gulp him down.

The mud attacking him bounced back as if thrown against a rubber, rendering all attacks useless.

“Don’t waste your attack on him. He is more than you can handle,” I spoke as I walked closer to him while he observed me with great interest.

“Seems like the kid has more guts than I anticipated,” he taunted me while preparing his arrays, but perhaps I had been dealing with him for a long while.

-Click!

A single click of my finger while I manipulated my mana round was able to stop his attacks from even taking form.

Sadly, it could work on only him, since every array user has their own special signature that is like a heart to their work. It’s like a master key to all their arrays… and I happen to have it now.

His eyes widened as he realised what had just happened. He wasn’t smiling anymore, as he took a step back in fear.

“How?!…” he asked as his voice was breaking.

“Nothing too special. Though… would you like to know about… the way to remove that cursed array without any harm to anyone?” I asked with a smile more cunning that he was making.

-Whoosh!

-Whoosh!

-Whoosh!

-Whoosh!

-Whoosh!

The rest of the dark mages came in between us with a fear filled expression. Protecting Yemir, the purple-haired mage asked,

“Hey freak. You all right?”

Though Yemir just stayed silent as he looked at me. His eyes seemed to be questioning the validation of things.

“I want something in return, of course. I will break you free from that things that are haunting you for ages,” I assured him, and it turned the faces of those dark mages even more ugly.

“Brat. Don’t listen to him… we have a great goal… don’t forget what the leader has done for all of us,” that purple mage was losing hope slowly.

Though that made me realise something…

“Ah! You guys don’t have to worry. I am going to open the Inverse realm myself soon. So hopefully we won’t have to stand against each other… that should be fine, no?” I spoke with a bright smile.

Being thrown into the game-world of [Call of the Black Magicians], Adam was forced to survive with no prior information. Except for his memories of the Game-World and his name, he did not have any memories of his previous life. But fret not, even though the Game-World had many perils and was on the verge of extinction at every next step, it also had its beauty and magic, one to die for. With the authority of [Player], he could save and restart until he achieved his desired result. He could learn skills of the ‘NPCs’ and achieve the results like the ‘Players.’ He could literally solo the entire game world to achieve his desired results. Whether he wants to save the world or destroy it, he could do it… as many times as he wishes. Even the [Black Magicians] won’t be able to do anything about it… probably. But was it all there was to it? [Beta Version 0.1 will begin in 6 Months: 29 days: 23 Hours!] I guess not… … Description: In the World of Zarraf, their lives Gods, not all Gods are good and certainly none are without motives. They rule the world’s 7 nations: The Nation of Light and Sun The Nation of Water The Nation of Fire The Nation of Life The Nation of Earth The Nation of Moon The Nation of Wind Each ruled by a goddess that has their own stance in their ruling. But that is only the first page of this world. The second page colors the Ancient Gods of Corruption, Rage, Curse, Death and Hate. The third belongs the Seven Sins’ Incarnations that are ready to succeed the Ancient Gods. The Fourth is of the Witches who stand against all Gods equally. And the Final Page colors the [Immortals] or otherwise known as [Players] that will be summoned to bring Chaos to this world. A World that was meant to be destroyed. Such is the fate of the world of Zarraf, as powers beyond the realm of mortals threaten the dynamic equilibrium of their existence. In the end, the world was prophesied to be destroyed by one cause or another. Nothing could prevent looming destruction… Or so... It was supposed to happen… … Hey, Author here to give a quick glance at a couple of things that are normally asked. Harem? Yes Romance? Yes System? Obviously Smut? Oh yes! Adventure RPG? Yes. Power Creeping? Not really. Overpowered? Depends on how you see it Smart MC? I guess so. Wise MC? Yes Something you need to know before you read The MC has the ability to [Save] a point (there are some conditions), with which he can return in time. So basically, he is an immortal. Though that doesn’t make him invincible from the start, rather he grows by making correct choices. The World is dynamic and pretty much anything can happen anytime. (It’s just my way of saying that there will be twists… pretty much unexpected ones as well). And then there will be solutions to those unexpected situations as well, depending upon the absurdity of it. (I won’t have any more plot armor since I gave him a pretty big buff of immortality, so everything will be connected and won’t just happen by luck. Everything will be cleared by the end of an arc, so you need to be patient before deciding on it.) It has a mix of everything. Thriller, Adventure, Action, Smut, Romance, Slice of Life, etc. so there is that as well. ……. [Mature Warning: This Novel Contains R-18 Content!]
