Chapter 139: [Finalising!]
The Mellow Dream.
It’s the kind of curse that allows the user to transform their identity into something else totally. For example, you can fake to be a vampire while still being a human.
Though you cannot have the powers of a vampire this way, and you will still be a human.
The reason it is a curse is that it is placed upon someone by another person and cannot be inflicted upon oneself. And there are only two ways to undo it.
One is to die and come back alive like the players did all the time.
As for the other one,
“Mellow dream, huh?” I walked closer to her, wondering what kind of life she had lived.
“You know this curse?” Leena spoke surprised as her eyes locked on to me with a surprise before I asked.
“Can you tell me what are the effects of the curse on you? I know what curse is this… but first I want to know the implications of it on you as it is different for different people.”
Leena looked at me with a deep look. Her eyes seemingly questioning a lot of things before she made up her mind,
“All the witches see me as a demoness. They can feel that I am a pure witch, but still they also see me as a demoness. The main reason why I was never allowed into the Witches’ town.”
I wonder why would anyone put something like that on her… but that is not something that I should concern myself with for now.
Touching her chest, right where her heart was, I then mumbled,
“[Uncurse!]”
It was a healing spell that can be used with Dark Magic. Though its greatest effects were in cases like these.
-Sparkle!
Like a small firecracker, the entire curse broke into pieces, and the patterns on her body vanished into thin air.
“Now that wasn’t that hard, was it?” I smiled as I looked at her dumbfounded face while she looked at her own body.
“Sister?!” Anna, who was even more surprised than Leena, seemed to have been shocked. Looking at Leena, she kept gazing at her from top to bottom as a smile broke out of her dumbfoundedness.
“Anna… how do I look?” Leena asked, as a few drops of tears escaped her eyes and fell down her cheeks.
“Pretty!” Anna also started crying. With watery eyes, Anna jumped and hugged Leena tightly, while Leena slowly fell down on her knees while she hugged back Anna.
‘They honestly shouldn’t have had so much problem with this curse…. Were they simply unlucky to not meet any priest, or was there something else to it as well?’ I wondered as I looked at her.
After a few minutes of tears and crying, Leena finally calmed down as she slowly turned to me…
“Thank you… I don’t know if there is anything I can do to repay you for what you have done… but please don’t hesitate to ask away,” Leena spoke with a determined face.
“Appreciate the gesture, but for now, would it be okay if I also take a look at her curse as well?” I asked as I looked at Anna.
Both the sisters looked at each other for a brief moment before Leena asked,
“I am not trying to be ungrateful or rude, but can I ask why are you asking us for this? Or to be exact… What do you want from us?”
They both looked at me with pure curiosity, while I observed them with a slight sigh.
“It’s for Wesker. I owe him a bit of a favor… so I was just returning a bit of it by helping the people close to him.” I smiled slowly before shaking my head.
“All right. Let’s not get too personal than that… So? Can I have a look at it or…” I focused on Anna.
They both looked at each other for a few seconds before slightly nodding. And then, turning to me, Leena spoke,
“It’s more a of a secret than a curse, but you must have already seen through her. Though it would be better to show you again in case you missed something.”
Anna then stood up and then prepared herself. This time she wasn’t using her grimoire, but her own mana pool.
‘Grimoires were there for the support, weren’t they?’ I tried recalling this small bit of information, but then I put it at the back of my mind, since it wasn’t important.
“Morpheus. We can trust you, right? You won’t betray us, right?” Asked Leena with a concerned voice, and I smiled as I answered,
“If I wanted to do something, I don’t need to rely on these methods.”
She looked at me with a short pause before nodding as she answered,
“I guess so.”
Anna, who had more or less prepared herself, began pouring out a bit of mana as she shouted,
“[Create Light]!”
And then a small but bright light appeared in front of us, before dying down immediately.
Though what surprised me even more was the fact that Anna fell down in Leena’s arms right after showing that miniscule spell. Her body seemed severely dehydrated, as she barely kept herself awake.
As for Leena, she helped Anna by providing bits of her own mana that seemed to have a minute healing effect over her.

I observed the sisters as one helped another, and while the process was going on, Leena began explaining,
“It was our father’s master. I don’t know who he was, or what the heck he wanted from us, but he was the one who placed that curse on me. As for Anna, as you already know, it’s not a curse but more of a forced mana corruption.”
Mana Corruption is something that makes the user unable to use a portion of their mana because it is tainted. Even if they try to use it, it will only hurt them in exchange for it.
If I had to make a guess, then it was the God of Array who did that to the sisters… man must be pretty evil for him to go this far. Or did have any other reasons to punish Yemir this much?
“While normally we have met people with 10% or 20% mana corruption, the fact that Anna’s mana was carpeted over 99% was something that was rather shocking to everyone.
Some said it has to do with our blood, others said that we have betrayed nature, etc. And thus me and Anna became quite the target of misfortune from anywhere we visited.
Strange, weird people even wanted to research Anna. That was a mess we could never forget,” Leena narrated a few things about her past, as if she were reminding herself of those days.
Her eyes were sad and pain filled as she looked at me with slight hope, before she asked,” Morpheus… Can you help Anna out like you helped me?”
I pondered over it for a moment before speaking,” Can I check something first?”
Leena nodded at me, before I moved towards Anna. Reaching close to her, I touched her hand as I asked Leena,
“What are her affinities with?”
“Fire. Light. Earth,” she answered me, while Anna, who seemed to have gained some strength, turned at me as she asked,”Help?”
It seemed she was bearing a lot right now. It kinda made me feel bad because I was the one who asked her to do it…
“I will pour some mana into your body. Don’t reject it, okay?” I asked politely, and she nodded. Leena seemed skeptical about it a little, but she didn’t interrupt me.
[Mana Surge!]
Activating my skill, I then used a bit of light magic, letting it flow in her veins.
“Does it hurt?” I asked, and she looked at me with a calmed expression as she answered,” a little.”
I then increased the intensity of the magic a little, making her groan in pain a bit more,
“The corrupted mana… is fighting back…”
Seems like…
I pondered over something before trying something.
‘This might kill her but…’
I then focused a huge amount of mana into my hands before throwing it all into Anna’s body. It was at least twice more than what Anna’s mana capacity had…
As for why I did, it didn’t have any particular reason behind it, other than an idea that what if I erase all the mana inside her at once and fill a bit more with my own?
As for the result…
“AAAAAA!!!” she shouted immediately, getting up, as her eyes shot a pain filled death stare at me.
Though that scream ended within a moment, as she realized something. Her eyes then turned even more widely, as touched her chest.
And once again, immediately she looked at me while I smiled at her.
‘Seems like the idea worked,’ I thought…

A bit too well…
