Waking up back at the inn, I looked at the ceiling before I stretched a little with a smile on my face.
‘A Royal Succubus, an Incubus, a dryad, two witches and a bunch of elves and dark mages, huh?’
I hugged the thin blanket a bit more tightly before getting into an even more comfortable position.
What I got from the Incubus was that Lily, the Royal succubus, was summoned here by a strange ritual. And there were two sacrifices that were made to summon her.
‘Though what those two sacrifices were, was something that he didn’t know.’ I pondered a bit about it. Something strong enough to summon a Royal Succubus?
Must be a High Grade Cursed Object. And about a dozen elves.
From the information, the dark mages will begin their ritual right after dusk. And it will take them about one more hour before they summon Lily.
“Now that we have a base to find the information about, let’s start from somewhere,” I thought as I got off from the bed and put down the blanket back at the bed.
A bit more stretching before I moved towards the door, and went down to see Rita, the twin tailed cat. She gave me the same mysterious smile as before and I proceeded with the conversation with her like last time.
From her to the sleeping Anna, and then her asking for my help. Everything was the same without any changes, but instead of taking her to the shop,
“I will be going to the forest for now. I will return in about 3-4 hours. Can you wait till then?”
Though Anna, instead of following my words, looked at me with a determined face as she spoke,
“I will follow.”
Looking at her determination, I sighed for a few moments before saying,” I don’t think I can help you with that. The place I am going to is very dangerous.”
“Don’t care. Life is harder,” she spoke with her determination solidifying even more.
“Come on, now. Would it really kill you to wait here for a few hours?” I asked, but she nodded. At this point, it was nothing more than a childish tantrum.
‘Well. I guess I don’t exactly need to hurry up,’ I weighed the choices I had and then decided that it would be fine to take her. If anything goes wrong, I can start again.
“You can follow me. But you are on your own,” I spoke as I looked at her expression changing. A smile blossomed on her face as she nodded before getting closer to me.
Holding the corner of my shirt, she looked up at me with that cute smile of hers,” thank you.”
‘Well… at least she has some manners,’ I patted her head before looking at Rita, observing me with a warm expression. The others were smiling as well, but I just ignored them as I got out of the inn.
Moving towards the east gate towards the forest, I looked around the city. Beside me was Anna, who followed silently without making a sound.
-Gdgdgdgd!
“…”
“…”
Though Anna’s stomach made a sound, making both of us stop for a moment before we both looked at each other.
“Are you-” I was about to ask.
“No,” she replied immediately.
“You sure?” I asked again, as I didn’t mind buying some edibles on the way.
“Umu.” she replied.
And then both of us began walking silently. Not even a dozen steps were taken before…
-Gdgdgdgd!
“…”
“…”
“We can-” I tried again.
“No,” she replied immediately.
I sighed as I looked around to find any snack shops around before I found one selling muffin-like sweets. From what I know, they were called moon bread and were quite popular among the children here.
As I moved towards the stall, I saw Anna following without any words. But when I began buying the Moon bread, I could see her drooling at those while her eyes glittered.
Buying 5 of the Moon bread, I gave one to Anna, surprising her a lot. She first tried rejecting it, but then I threatened that I won’t take a hungry person to a dangerous place.
Silently, she took the moon bread before taking a bite. From the blessed, joyful expression she was making, I chuckled at her before I spoke.
“Finish that one and I will give you another. Let’s go now.”
I then took out one of the bread and began eating, too. Both of us walked through the city, eating the bread as we reached the city gate.
The gate was your average fantasy gate found in the bigger town areas. Enough to keep away the monsters, but not enough if any powerful entity appears.
“Let me go!! I am telling you that my sister went inside there!” A familiar voice came from the other side of the gate, as both Anna and I walked towards the voice.
Surely enough it was Leena, trying to quarrel with the guards as she seemed to be hurrying about something. It was probably for Anna.
“Herath,” I raised my hand and called out to the guard to make him look at me. Hearing my voice, both that guard, Herath and Leena turned towards us.
“Sister?” Anna finally got a clear glimpse of Leena and was stupefied a little.
“Anna?!!!” Leena, of course, noticed Anna as well and ran towards us. Her eyes seemingly relieved as she jumped at Anna and hugged her tightly.
I turned to Herath, who also came running behind Leena with a panicked face. Though reaching close, he calmed down before he turned to me,
“Hey Wesker. You know them?”
“Kind of,” I answered as I looked at the reunion of the two sisters, where one seemed worried and another annoyed.
And after a few seconds of meet up, Leena looked at Anna as she spoke in a rather loud voice,” Anna! Why did you run away without me? Do you know how much I was worried about you?”
