“Pfft, really, you do have a charm, Esme.” Hearing her words, he instinctively uttered those words with a slight chuckle.

“…I-i.” Seeing him chuckling while complementing her, her heart skipped a beat, making her clench her dress with lips quivering under the cover of the mask, looking intensely at that face.
“Fine, how about we both do some training now?” Ryuk stood from his chair, looking at the woman with a calm demeanor, who, upon hearing his words, realized she still hadn’t taken a bath.

“Wait, let me freshen up first, bye.” Like a swift breeze, she ran towards the stairs before entering her room.
‘So, where do I take a bath?’ Ryuk turned his gaze nearby, but understanding that he needed to take a bath too even outside, he left the house in search of some natural water source.

“Where did you go?” Coming out from her room, Esme looked at the black-masked man with wet hair, arriving while wearing the same clothes but somewhat always appearing new, just like her dress.
“Nothing special, just went to take a bath somewhere,” Ryuk said, approaching her before offering his hand, and adding, “Let’s go, help me out in training.”
“Huh?” Esme looked at him blankly through her mask, not understanding what he meant, but still took his hand, and both left the house.

Both of them moved through the town’s streets, heading directly towards outside of the main gates, but on their way to the gates, excluding people’s eyes, the environment seemed more intense.
“Hey! Let’s go, are you going to take this much time just to do makeup? He will disappear!” A woman knocked on a door while yelling, while pacing back and forth, as if hurried to go somewhere.
“Run! He was at the waterfall a moment ago!” Another group of women ran towards the only water source nearby, while announcing as if they found some rare treasure.
“Were you naked?” Esme, without turning her gaze, being walking with hand in hand, inquired calmly.
“Yes,” Ryuk stated, understanding the reason for this small event.
“You bathed naked in a waterfall where anyone can see you?” Esme halted in her way, turning towards the young man with her hand folding, eyes blankly looking at him.
“I didn’t do it intentionally.” Ryuk shook his head, not wanting to deal with another hassle.
“Hmm.” Narrowing her gaze, Esme kept looking at him suspiciously.
“Big Sis! How can you marry this Uncle!”
Suddenly, a voice caused both of them to turn towards the source. Two figures with somewhat the same appearance approached them with visible twitch in their eyes.
“What are you blabbering?” Seeing both twins’ words causing gasps around the people who already hated the young man’s presence to some extent, she flicked both of them at the same time.
FLICK!
“Ouch!”
“You can’t bury the rising voices of truth,” Sam protested, while Mae also nodded, turning towards the masked young man, moving towards him.
‘…’ Ryuk kept looking at the boyish girl, arriving beside him with averted gaze, adding, “Thank you for saving me, big bro.”
“It’s fine.” Ryuk placed his hand on her head, slightly ruffling it, feeling satisfied since she wasn’t harmed.
“Y-you! Mae, you traitor! How much did you take to switch sides?” Sam instantly scolded his sister, shaking her while not believing how he was left alone to fight this man.
SMACK!
Thud
“Aghh!” Falling on the ground after getting a face punch, rubbing his cheek, Sam looked at his sister who seemed to remember something.
“Now that you talked about switching sides, then I remember, weren’t you told those bastards to take me instead of you!”
“Uh-Huh?” Sam’s swollen cheek rubbed by his hand while eyes reflected both of the elders’ eyes turning cold. Seeing those gold and amber eyes, his eyes instantly became teary, crying, “I just wanted to buy some time to run away from there.”
BAM!
“Piece of trash.” Mae gave him a good beating while both Ryuk and Esme looked at each other with a smile forming on their faces, approaching both of them.
“Calm down, forgive him.” Esme pulled Mae back, hugging her.
“You did great, Sam. I always treat traitors kindly. Come with me.”
Ryuk leaned before grabbing Sam’s hoodie, and without lifting him, pulled him like a trolley bag.
Turning towards Esme, he said, “Should you help me in doing some training, Esme?”
With a smile forming while both her and Mae moved, Esme replied, “With pleasure.”
Regarding that speculation, I hope readers aren’t confused into thinking it’s some secret plan by someone and that this woman is evil.
I mentioned it merely to put forth the reason for Ryuk’s behaviour, and also to Clarify some things.
Firstly, she is very weak in front of individuals who will accompany Ryuk, making her easier to kill (Exception, she is not weak in any way, I meant in comparison), and Ryuk was really feeling attracted towards her. He is well aware of her becoming a potential weakness to him, but will he keep her away from his life.
Somethings aren’t in our hand, just like his, is in my hand, HAHAHAHA
Though ofcource, She has a very strong ability to impress Ryuk, which was one of the factors leading to his speculation of her being most compatible with him.
Her Rank doesn’t match strength of her ability, meaning, she reached perfection with hardwork (Let’s not dig in)
As for her face, this plot will be the most shocking and exhilarating one. If only I had ten more hands, I could have written faster.
