SWISH
A silhouette moved while tearing through the night inside the dark forest, with only moonlight revealing its somewhat small kid body, which moved at oddly inhuman speed, crossing the dense black forest where even shadows seemed to become solid.
‘I would have been free,’ Belial rushed through the dense forest while thinking about the events from some hours ago, where even his real body got infected and was now under that human’s control.
‘Darn it,’ cursing his luck, Belial finally halted outside a cave in the middle of the forest, appearing repulsive with the dark mist emanating from it, yet he moved inside.
tap tap
Only his footsteps remained as he got lost inside that dense dark fog, his body dissolving inside the cave with only remnants being left behind.
‘It should be fine now.’ Inside the cave where his physical body seemed to disappear, only a thought passed through his mind, prompting a subtle ripple to occur inside the dark mist.
Ting Ting
A soft sound reverberated inside that place, appearing as if the usage of an artifact, yet the mist seemed to block everything from passing out of it.
* So, did you meet her? *
Another manly voice filled the space before disappearing without getting the chance to even escape the cave, to which Belial replied.
‘Yes, Baster, she is beautiful,’ Belial replied, while the fog kept swirling inside the cave.
Yet the connection established on the other side was thousands of miles away from this place, existing somewhere else.
*….*
*Where are you?*
‘I ab inside a devouring bist to prevent byself frob being watched,’ Belial replied cautiously while informing his whereabouts, being inside the devouring fog, which was none other than a living creature.
Technically, Belial right now was inside a mouth, already dissolved in that fog with his consciousness should be fading by now, but he seemed completely fine.
An application to hide oneself from the outside world, never even thought by anyone else, to just hide inside some Demonic beast’s mouth.
*….Did you accomplish the task?* The voice halted, seems to ignore the words from the devil, directly reaching the main topic.
‘That I did indeed and even fooled her into thinking that you are a woban, keke,’ Belial grinned while thinking about his masterpiece acting, where he even succeeded in fooling the so-called demon queen of Malevolia.
*…..*
The voice on the other side seemed to blankly hear the message from Belila and contemplate the way to deal with the hassle he was causing it, but still prioritizing the matter. The voice again inquired. *Go check and tell me how many demons are leaving Malevolia to attack Titanora.*
‘Huh, what does it even batter? We already fooled her and protected your as—’ Belial halted due to feeling a heart-wrenching pain inside his now dissolved body, which he thought would be free from the ability enslaving him, making him realize that he was stuck forever.
*Hm, so your original body can bear the pain.*
It seemed the voice on the other side held amusement yet understanding the application of Grimoire having different effects on different races.
‘Yes, I am unaffected by your ability,’ Belila straightforwardly replied, holding sincerity and truthfulness of centuries in his voice.
*Then if I tried, you will not die either.*
drip
In that fog, a small water drop fell on the ground, appearing like a sweat bead trickling out of anxiety with broken laughter reverting,’ Kekeke, I was just teasing you Huba— Baster.’
Again the moment Belial tried to refer that voice through its race identity, a surge of pain filled his body which could have led to his death eventually, so he better decided to use honorifics.
*Tell me how many demons are heading towards Titanora.*
The same voice again inquired as if wanting to know some crucial information, holding a hint of urgency in it and firmness to make even that Devil finally give up and reply.
‘I could only sense a few hundred of weak debons leaving balevolia.’

Present time,
Inside Titanora’s Capital City, the place which was now nothing more than barren land with several life signatures either trying to leave the place or heading towards the middle yet remained static in their position due to several mana pillars produced by hundreds of LEGENDARY Rankers.
“….I will retract my Aura,” Ryuk stated with a composed demeanor, already contemplating the whole situation where his decisions needed to provide as fatal damage as possible to these individuals.
With his hand retracting back from the man’s while eyes remained calmly observing any movement, even though implanted the Grimoire, letting his guard down wasn’t something Ryuk was going to do.
“Will you keep your promise?” the man again inquired, his own aura subsiding, calming himself down while his gaze remained fixed on the young man who held a small smile before nodding.
“Kughh…Le..ave me!”
A cry caused both of them to turn towards a direction where a woman kept pressed down a man on the ground while punching him from behind, on his head.
Bam!
“Agh!”
CRACK!
“Stop it! You already said to leave him!” The man, seeing how Regina was still following the previous orders of this black-masked young man, tried to stop her but was met with another word from the young man in front of him.
“I never said that he will leave this place in one piece,” Ryuk, glancing at the man with narrowed eyes, calmly stated.
WHOOSH
“Y-you!” The man again lost his temper, causing a surge of energy to burst out of him, his eyes shot red with anger, understanding that he was just getting played here.
“Calm down, isn’t it better than dying here?” Ryuk unbuttoning his suit firmly informed the man as he took a seat on the broken tree nearby, revealing his black shirt within as he sat with folded legs.
“You will regret this, Ryuk Devereaux!” The man understood that this situation was not in his favour or had the upper hand in bargaining, and now seeing how the young man was hell-bent on crippling his son, the man needed to make a choice.
A choice of either letting his son and him die here or another choice to let his son leave this place with a broken body even at the cost of man’s life.
‘Damn it, I can’t even contact them,’ the man felt frustrated that their battleship’s communication wasn’t working, leaving him with not many choices.
“Take a seat here, we still have twenty minutes more,” Ryuk gestured for the man to take a seat beside him, while he focused his eyes towards the approaching demon army.
Due to his strength being high enough to see through thousands of miles yet obstructed due to dense demonic energy, the least he could see was just dark clouds and nothing else.
But from the information gathered from Belial, it was clear that the Demon Queen had guessed that Drishti Devereaux wasn’t behind all this.
Naturally, after the declaration of battle against Titanora, Ryuk found it suspicious that a person of ASCENDANCY rank instead of just instantly teleporting and starting a massacre, decided to delay and bring her army.
Something which definitely was enough for him to contemplate the intelligence level of the Demon Queen, not acting recklessly, and maybe he had fooled Void Matrix System.
But what if its host is smart enough to act cautiously?
Added with that, the Demon Queen rose to her position after a heir battle, making her already smart enough to guess everything.
Which made Ryuk personally provide the leads to her by sending Belial there, while infusing a trigger Grimoire inside his body, which instantly corrupted his main body too.
The only thing left was to guess if the Demon Queen was able to catch on to things, which became evident from the fact that she sent only hundreds of weakest demons here.
In conclusion, he was dealing with a smart individual not a barbarian demoness.
BAM!
“S…stop.. it!”
A groan caused Ryuk to be pulled out of his thoughts and turn towards the blonde young man lying on the ground, whose body was in perfect condition if excluding him being restricted to move even the slightest.
But it didn’t matter much since he just needed to overwhelm Edward’s mind for some time, enough to not let him be able to adapt to artifact’s ability.
‘System, how many days will it take for him to adapt to Wyrncoil?’ Ryuk inquired, the reason for which he had made Regina break Edward’s will to retaliate—which would eventually come back due to his ability to adapt.
[Host, in the present state, it will take 15 days]
