Chapter 1463: Tim vs Redfist
Tim walked into the center of the mound, tapping into his box to pull out everything he had stored in there. Not everything was out at once, but would should he need it.
“We begin at the sound of the gong,” Redfist said and nodded to the side.
The gong rang loudly.
Redfist charged.
As a man whose chest was higher than Tim’s head, and arms that reached much further than Tim, he would have an easy time in the fight.
He didn’t hold back anything in his charge, choosing to grapple Tim first before attacking him.
Tim stood still, doing nothing. Redfist grabbed him and suddenly found his arm moving through Tim, almost as though he was grabbing at air.
Tim wasn’t real.
Tim appeared from the side, shouting as he punched Redfist. Redfist managed to put his arm up to defend and was surprised to feel the strength of Tim’s punch.
He was thrown back, rolling across the dirt mound before stopping a few meters away. He quickly got back up, a wild grin on his face as he shook his arm to get rid of the pain.
“What was that?” he asked. “You are stronger than I had thought you would be. Maybe this fight won’t be as easy as I imagined.”
“No, it won’t,” Tim said and let go of the strength he had been drawing. He had to draw it in parts so that he did not overuse it.
There was also the problem with his slight headache that he needed to be careful about. If he used treasures that belonged to other people too much, it would hurt him quite a bit.
Mostly it was a mental fatigue, but sometimes it would hurt him physically too, so he couldn’t use the other’s treasures too many times.
Redfist jumped back, reaching for Tim to grapple once again, but Tim drew in more strength and grabbed the man’s arm, pushing him back. Redfist was more than surprised to find that Tim had so much strength to push him back.
He understood that Tim was using his treasure. So, he decided to use it as well. Redfist used his glove treasure.
Tim suddenly felt some tingling senses on his left palm that had grabbed onto the gloved hand. He wondered what was happening for a second when he started feeling somewhat lethargic. It was as though all of his spirit and motivation were being drained away from him.
What was happening? Was he losing contact with the box again? Was the strength and weight he drew from the box being cut off?
It took only a moment for Tim to realize that was not the case. Given where the tingling was happening, he realized that it wasn’t that his box was being cut off, but rather that the glove was being used.
Tim wondered what it was that the glove did that made him feel that way. He decided to find out.
Since he was in contact with the glove, he could use it too.
Tim activated the glove.
Suddenly, he understood what the glove did as strength filled him once again. Or more accurately, life filled him.
The glove stole life or healing capacity from another person and used that to heal the person activating the glove.
Since Tim was the one now activating the glove, his body healed as it drew in the healing prowess that Redfist had stolen away.
For the first time in a long, long time, Redfist’s eyes were filled with shock and fear. He felt his life draining from him. The rate at which it drained wasn’t very high, but damn was it shocking to him to be someone on the other side of the draining.
He had never expected there to be someone who could use his own glove against him.
Redfist tried to pull back his arm but found it had to get it out of Tim’s grip. Instantly, he kicked upward, trying to hit Tim in the chest.
Tim wasn’t ready to block such an attack and took a hit right in the chest, being flung a few meters back into the dirt mound.
Redfist immediately took a few steps back as Tim let go of the glove and felt the life return to him. He breathed in quickly, trying to make sure not too much of him was taken away.
He wasn’t.
‘What the fuck is up with this kid? How is he using my treasure against me?’ Redfist wondered. He wondered how such a thing was even possible in the first place.
Tim landed on the ground and grunted in pain. Pain filled his chest, even though he had stored quite a bit of strength and weight in his body.
It seemed that didn’t affect his defenses as much. The pain faded away as Tim took out the Health he had stored in the box and used it to heal his chest pain.
Before the pain was even gone, Redfist was already next to him again, trying to grab onto him. Tim activated the bangle out of instinct and felt the man punch him in the face.
There was no pain at all during those punches, but Tim did feel the draining energy with each punch. Not only that, he also felt the headache from using two treasures that were not his back-to-back.
On top of that, the area around his wrist where the bangle lay also began burning a little and hurting. As the seconds of the bangles came to an end, he immediately slowed down what little time he had saved in the box and rolled to the side.
He got back up, wanting to use his other treasures, but knowing that he couldn’t do that again. His headache would be unmaintainable if he let himself use so many bonded treasures again.
He had to stick to his own treasures for now.
Strength filled Tim suddenly and he jumped up while storing weight. He was almost weightless in his current state, so with his strength, he jumped nearly 15 meters into the air.
Then, he let the weight flow back into him, crashing down at the man from the sky.
Redfist saw the speed at which Tim fell and quickly jumped to the side, not daring to take the attack head-on.
Tim crashed into the ground with a bang but did not suffer any damage thanks to the soft dirt ground. He quickly got up, weight being stored again, and jumped toward Redfist.
Redfist went for a punch and so did Tim.
Their fists collided, with Tim having more strength than Redfist in the attack. But at the moment of impact, Redfist took some healing away from Tim, healing himself for what damage he had taken.
Tim felt the pain in his first and grunted as he tapped into the healing in his box. Once he used the healing, he jumped back at Redfist.
The two fought relentlessly, both attacking each other, with Tim seemingly coming out on top, but Redfist never actually losing.
“What is going on? Why is he standing after taking so many hits?” Jasmine asked, referring to Redfist.
“His glove lets him heal himself while he attacks. In a way, he rarely takes any damage and makes the other person weaker from the battle,” Ning said. “Had it been anyone else but Tim, the person would’ve long since fallen down from the lack of energy to fight back.”
“Is he surviving because of his box?” Jasmine asked.
“Yes, exactly because of his box,” Ning said.
The Redfist pirates were slackjawed as they watched the fight continue. Never in their life had they imagined that a scrawny man like Tim could force their Captain to fight so seriously and for so long.
They could see that Tim had no sort of skill or knowledge that one gained after fighting a lot. It was easy to tell that he rarely fought at all, if any.
However, that sort of kid was giving a hard time for their Captain, seemingly even coming out on top in some of the exchanges. That shocked almost all of them.
Tim took deep breaths, finding the lack of exercise and workout get to him. Healing didn’t do anything to this sort of fatigue. Thankfully, it seemed Youthfulness did.
As youthful vigor came to him, it restored his energy and his will to fight as well. He ducked one of the punches and landed a strong punch in Redfist’s stomach.
As he got up, Redfist’s left swing caught in the shoulder, throwing him to the side.
Tim stopped and got back up, going back to the fight.
Redfist punched with his right hand, and Tim blocked, but Redfist still gained the upper hand as he stole some healing from Tim. Tim refilled his healing but this couldn’t continue for too long.
He had to do something about this. There was only so much healing he had stored in his box. As he thought, an idea came to him.
It was a simple idea that he wasn’t sure if it could work or not. But there was nothing wrong with trying it.
Instead of tapping into the healing in the Box, Tim started storing it. Tim felt nothing different for now, but he would soon. He knew it.
Redfist punched and Tim punched back. The two fists clashed and Redfist activated his glove on impact.
Redfist’s eyes narrowed as nothing came back to him.
‘What happened?’ he thought. ‘Did this kid activate my glove again? No, that didn’t feel like it.’
They went for the attack again, and once again, Redfist didn’t get anything.
‘What the hell is going on?’
