Chapter 1476: Goodbye
Ning and the rest left the hammer there. There was no point in using it, given that it would still take quite some time before the Hammer would be of much use.
As it was, it wasn’t nearly strong enough to be a good treasure. So, instead, they went to look for the strong treasures.
A week of travel through the ocean led the group directly to the other side of the planet from where they had started, and they arrived at a location where there was a treasure and a monster who guarded it.
Ning defeated the monster easily, getting the treasure. It was the spectacle treasure Ning had told Tim about, which he wore immediately.
Once he got the treasure, Ning and the rest made their way to another random location.
They went to the city of Garro in the Kingdom of Altaria. There, they spent their time going around the city and enjoying its scenery for nearly a week before they left the place.
They went to another place from there, a waterfall city on the eastern cliffs of the Kingdom of Duoron. Then, they left from there as well, going to look for another treasure.
They arrived in another location, this time, not the great reef, but rather just a location at the bottom of the ocean, where a monster guarded this next treasure.
Ning defeated the treasure and brought it back to the ship.
The treasure was a nail polish bottle, except instead of nail polish, it had a healing salve inside of it. The bottle contained about 10 ml of a healing solution, which when drank with water would give a person incredible results.
A single drop of this salve in a glass of water could be used to immediately clear fever and any other disease and illness of similar threat for up to 20 different people.
A single drop by itself when given directly to the person was enough to heal him of even the worst of injuries, anything just short of death.
If given the entire vial, it was enough to bring a person back from the brink of death, even if they had lost all limbs and organs. Drinking the entire vial could bring back body parts too.
The vial took exactly 1 day to fill completely.
Immediately, it was decided that Jasmine was to take the treasure. Not only did Tim have a treasure where he could store his own healing to use when required, but he also now had a treasure that protected him from injuries and even death.
Still, Jasmine decided to allow him to drink the entire vial for every day they were together. On the off chance that Jasmine needed to use the vial, she could simply use her pen to go back to the previous day and stop Tim from drinking it.
That way, she would forever have the vial at hand should she need it. It was an incredible combination of artifacts that made them incredibly capable of surviving any situation out there.
After the vial, Ning took them to another location. This time, he returned to the other side of the planet, taking Tony to the Nearheaven empire where he hailed from.
He had traveled the world, and he had seen things that others hadn’t. He had noted down his discoveries, and now it was time to review them thoroughly and release them to the public.
As Tony departed, Ning gave him a treasure of his own, a single necklace.
“What is this?” Tony asked, looking at the necklace. Coming from Ning, the necklace had to be incredibly expensive, but at the same time, it did not look like a treasure at all. In fact, it looked old and rusty even. That was not how treasures were supposed to look.
“If by any chance your watch fails to notify you of a bad event, or you fail to change it before it happens, this necklace will help save your life,” Ning said. “You are about to make the most blasphemous claims the world has ever seen. I think you will need every help you can get.”
Tony thought for a moment and nodded. “I am going to do just that, aren’t I?” he asked.
He remembered being nearly lynched back in the tent in the amusement park. That had been a horrible time, nearly traumatizing him from being around a lot of people.
Thankfully, he had known that something bad would happen before the crowd got too angry and managed to leave before they killed him.
“Thank you for all your help, Ning,” Tony said. “I do not know who you are, or where you are from, but I will forever remember what you have done for me.”
He turned toward Tim and Jasmine. “You two stay well too. Come see me from time to time. Tim, if you still want to be a scholar, I will take you under my wing if you ever come to Nearheaven.”
Tim gave a smile. “I would love to, sir Tony,” he said. “I have yet to give up on my ambition to be a scholar the history will remember.”
Tony smiled. “And you, girl. I wish you luck in your orphanage. I know the church handles all the orphanages, so it will be hard to open it, but I don’t think it will be too difficult with Ning’s help.”
“Ning’s promised a large display of fireworks on the day I open my orphanage. I will invite you then. You have to come.”
“Of course,” Tony said. “I won’t miss it for the world.”
He turned back to Ning. “Once again. Let me thank you,” he said and gave a deep bow to Ning. “If you need anything from me, just tell me. I won’t hesitate a bit.”
Ning smiled. “Just live well. That will be enough for me.” He pat the man on his shoulders and let him walk away.
Tony waved his hands and left, leaving the three behind to go on their adventures on their own.
