Reincarnated as an Energy with a System – Chapter 1549

Deal

Chapter 1549: Deal

Jay thought for a long time before looking at Ning. “May I ask, how much Spark you consume to convert one pack of these Dust,” he said.

“That’s not the sort of question I like to answer,” Ning said. “It’s personal, you know.”

“Yes, but I was trying to think of how much split should be good,” Jay said.

“That’s simple,” Ning said. “Since Danny here confirmed that my Dust was as good, if not the same as the Dust you get from wherever it is you get it from, I should be given the same split.”

“No, Cadet. That’s not right,” the man said. “The person who makes Dust is a magician with it. Within 5 years of taking over, he’s improved Dust’s purity by at least halfway to becoming perfect, and he still continues to improve. So I must say that he deserves a higher cut than you.”

Ning nodded slowly, thinking of what to say. “Let me ask you this,” he said. “How often does this other person send you Dust?”

Jay shrugged. “About once every 2 weeks or so,” he said.

“Okay,” Ning said. “And how much does he send you?”

Jay looked around, finding one of the men standing next to Ning. “How much?” he asked.

“3 sack full. About 5 times that bag,” the man answered, pointing to Ning’s bag.

“5 times as big as mine?” Ning asked. “That’s a lot of Dust, for sure. But I can make double that in just 5 minutes. Wouldn’t you rather have that than wait 15 days for it?”

The men looked around in disbelief. “Can you really make it so fast?” Jay asked.

Ning reached into his pocket, ignoring the suddenly hostile men who were ready with the knives, and brought out a small vial of Spark from within his pockets.

The people slowly put away their knives, but they didn’t entirely put them back where they came from. Ning had a vial of Spark in his hands, which meant almost anything was possible.

Jay knew Ning was a Converter, he had seen it. Now, he wondered what he was going to do. Show off his skills by turning the Dust in the bag back to dirt.

Ning did no such thing. Instead, he simply lay his palm on the table in between him and Jay, and asked, “How attached are you to this table?”

“What?” the man asked. “The table?”

Ning smiled. “You don’t seem very attached.”

Then, he used his powers and turned the entire table into Dust.

The powdered drug fell to the ground, the shape of a table not able to hold it up at all. The drug sprayed on the ground, a lot of it blowing up into the air.

Jay moved back in a hurry, both in surprise and shock. He sniffed a little and could tell that Danny had not lied about the Dust being of quite a good quality.

The men behind Ning were all in pure panic, none of them beginning to understand what had just happened. A moment ago, there was a table there. And now, it was a pile of Dust.

“Holy shit!” one of them cried out. “He turned the table into Dust.”

“How is that possible?” another one asked.

“He’s a Converter,” one of them answered.

“How can a Converter still convert something into Dust? You would need a lot of practice with the object to turn into—” whoever was speaking stopped and gasped.

Then, everyone understood just what had happened. Everyone understood just how much Ning had to have trained around with Dust to be able to turn something into Dust so casually.

Jay had seen the same thing happen before, but he was still surprised. The amount of Dust on the floor was a magnificent amount that he simply couldn’t make sense of.

This was the amount of Dust that they would get from the makers of the Dust once every two weeks, and now, he had it here in the blink of an eye.

And all that Ning needed to make it was nothing other than just Spark. And that was something he no doubt had plenty of access to as a Cadet.

Jay had already checked Ning’s information and had managed to confirm that the man was in fact a Cadet based on their latest information.

A man or two began giggling, bringing Jay’s attention back to the thing at hand. He looked up and saw Ning sitting silently with a gentle smile on his face, looking directly at him.

He sat confidently, with a leg on top of another leg, almost as though he was certain that he would get what he wanted today.

“Brother,” Jay couldn’t help but say out loud. “How much do you want?”

Ning smiled. “Finally, I knew you would know what to do, brother Jay,” he said. “What is your current situation with the makers of the Dust? I will make you a deal, I will completely copy what they’re getting from you. Same deal, everything.”

“I’m currently buying Dust in bulk for around 1 million Jiubels per 50 kilograms of it,” the man said.

“Then, I will do you the same deal as well. 1 million Jiubels for 50 Kilograms,” Ning said. “Only, I will make Dust for you whenever you need me to. Does that sound fair?”

Jay thought for a bit. “Honestly, I will need to think for a while on this. I can’t afford to sell Dust from two suppliers at once. How about I keep you as my on-hand Dust maker for now in case I run out of it in the future and the supply is still days away.”

Ning shrugged. “If that is how you want to do it, then sure,” he said. “But I won’t be happy being kept that way for too long. There are others that will want me to sell this to them.”

“Yes, brother Ning, I understand. We will talk among ourselves in a few days and get back to you. I promise,” the man said. “Until then, keep in touch.”
