Reincarnated with SSS Venom Skill into the Game World – Chapter 36

The Princess Spear

Chapter 36: The Princess’ Spear

Two months went by in the blink of an eye.

During this time, many disciples training alongside Nith under the old man became full-fledged adventurers whose spearmanship satisfied both parties.

This level of experience and strength ensured their chances of survival remained high. Besides that, there was a three-month training period for new guild members.

After that, they either had to pay for the old man’s tutelage or perform quests to receive a free month pass.

Therefore, Nith met new faces, which he casually ignored after short introductions.

Arman and Edgar were also forced to leave the training hall to complete a few quests. Nith and the old master, however, didn’t worry much about them as their progress had been splendid, resulting in the Three Musketeers gaining a new kind of fame.

From bullied disciples, they became known for their resilience and talent.

“Madame Kyouka is here!”

“Will she share her potions with us again?!”

“Thank Nith!”

“Thank you, Senior Nith!”

“Go fuck yourselves. Who the fuck is a senior? And why have so many of you picked up Edgar’s cringe way of speaking? Don’t call her Madame, for fuck’s sake,” Nith spat, looking up at his woman waving at him from the viewing spot.

Now that Kyouka had come to terms with Nith’s desire to perfect his spearmanship, she took him back to their bed and resumed her afternoon visits. She’d come with a few potions, which she offered to everyone as thanks for sparring with Nith.

Other than that, Kyouka couldn’t complain about a lack of fame. If anything, people here liked her so much that they even wondered if Nith had swindled her heart or forced her into marriage.

The commotion in the training hall took a huge turn when a man in his late twenties stepped in, his chest bare, sporting a muscular physique many women salivated over.

He held a spear in his dominant hand, ambling in like he owned the place.

Murmurs erupted among the disciples and the old man’s loyal students. Everyone, except for a few clueless people like Nith, seemed to be aware of this man’s name and fame.

Nith asked, “Who’s that?”

A man closest to him replied, “He’s Huxley. He’s been here from the start and calls himself The Princess’ Spear, though he’s never joined her team. He’s a self-proclaimed best spearman in the guild.”

Nith nodded. “I see.” He then walked toward the bossy dude, much to everyone’s surprise.

But those who knew Nith, namely Kyouka and somewhat the old man, had predicted that Nith would take action. Or rather, that he wouldn’t miss this chance.

He’d been training for two months now. He’d learned a lot and become much closer with the spear, yet the connection between the spear and himself that he’d been yearning for hadn’t been established yet.

Which meant that Nith needed much more than training with other disciples.

He needed a real threat.

Someone like Huxley was indeed a danger to him, if stirred properly.

“You call yourself The Princess’ Spear, right?” Nith approached Huxley, his arms in his pockets and his back hunched. “Going so far as to call yourself such an ambiguous moniker really speaks volumes about you.”

“What are you implying? Huh?” Huxley closed the distance between them, his vast frame and ripped muscles overshadowing the hunched Nith.

“That you’re a loser who only knows how to yap,” Nith sneered, not crumbling under Huxley’s glare and the presence he exerted on him.

As veins popped on Huxley’s temple and muscles, he growled, “We take this to the middle of the hall. Right now.”

“Much appreciated,” Nith replied.

Following the man’s back, Nith conjured a high-stamina potion. He also took out a vial of a newly created potion that Kyouka had poured all her efforts into—the spirit potion. It tasted like an energy drink and served the same purpose, increasing concentration and sharpening instincts.

Nith stood across from Huxley, who seemed raring to go.

Of course, the only one who could stop him—the old master—chimed in, stepping between them as a referee. His small but overwhelming presence kept Huxley on a leash, while Nith kept smiling, his grim countenance making him look like a grim reaper on the hunt.

The old master curtly glanced at Nith. “You reap what you sow, Nith. Huxley is at the late stage of Second Grade. An entire level above you.”

“Since when do you worry so much about me?” Nith replied.

The old man sighed. “Neither of you can die. Everything else is fair. This is a battle between adult men, so I expect you to uphold that! Begin!”

The moment the old man started the duel, Nith’s body exhaled the black poison, surprising everyone, including his opponent.

The Dark Haze unrolled in all directions and billowed like clouds.

As he smiled deeply, the dark mist oozed from the corners of his lips, drawing a picture of a demon sneering at everyone present. The Dark Haze also spread faster than it had in the danger zone, for Nith had been strengthening his body all this time.

All his venom had developed along with him.

“Such a cheap trick,” Huxley scoffed as he raised his spear single-handedly over his head.

His muscles tensed and pulsed with raw mana, highlighting that he used some strengthening skills from titles.

As he crumbled into a shooting form, he transferred all his weight and power to his spear, tossing it at Nith like a javelin.

It zoomed like an eagle, tearing through the dark mist.

Nith, however, could see through its speed. He didn’t give the man any leverage as he threw himself to the side, sinking into his dark haze.

Huxley’s spear hit the floor, and its raw force blew away Nith’s poison. That said, only a small circle formed from that force, raising eyebrows not only from Huxley but also from the old master, both wondering what kind of skill Nith had used.

Amidst his dark world, Nith darted toward the weaponless man!
