Reincarnator’s Adventures – Chapter 111

Chapter 111

Chapter 111: Chapter 111

Inside a cave somewhere in the world, a young man with a ponytail and an alluring woman walked together. They walked side to side into the cave innards, going deeper and deeper as they went. “You keep your pets here, Taiboku?” the alluring woman asked; she held the young man’s arm affectionately, pressing it against her breast. Taiboku nodded, “Only the disposable ones. The more useful pets are being held inside my personal residence.” The alluring woman moved slightly to the sides, avoiding a drop of water from the ceiling, “Hmm? How come I never see your pets then?”

Taiboku stopped and looked at the alluring woman beside him, “How about next time you visit, I’ll let you see my useful pet, huh?” The alluring woman’s expression brightened, “Really? Yay!” Taiboku smiled; he brought the alluring woman even further inside. Eventually, the both of them reached the central part of the cave. “This is….”, The alluring woman had her mouth agape when she arrived at the centre of the cave. A huge circular hall with cages all over them. Inside, there were various mutated creatures, either growling or roaring.

However, the noises from the mutated creatures did not come out due to the inscription inside the cell. “How about it?” Taiboku asked; he smiled towards the alluring woman, “Do you want to take one, Da Ji?” The alluring woman, Da Ji, did not answer immediately. Instead, she strolled around the massive hall, looking at the cell one by one. “Most of your pets have strength equal to a 2nd Grade Aura Master. How did you do it? How did you make all of this?” Da Ji asked, curious. Taiboku let out a small giggle, “Decades of hard work never betrays my love. Then, Taiboku walked forward, he scanned the hall with his eyes, “Years of trial and error had finally borne fruit to this, my own, personal, disposable Hyakki Yako”, he spread his arms as the creatures inside the cell responded by roaring.

“No, please! Dad, mom, help, help!” Eru squirmed on his bed. He seemed to be having a nightmare as sweat filled his body. “No!” Eru woke up screaming. Fortunately, he woke up alone, or else he would be embarrassed. Eru clutched his head, “That nightmare again” Eru pursed his lips. “I’m two lifetimes deep; why the hell did the trauma from my first life creep out to me in this life?” Eru sighed; he looked around his surroundings, finding that he was in some unknown location.

“Where am I?” Eru stood up, wearing his clothes; he opened the door. “Urgh”, Eru grunted as the sun shone brightly from the window beside him. “Ah, brother Eru, you’re awake!” Long greeted Eru while sitting at the table, eating some food. “Glad you’re back to normal”, Eru said while pulling the chair and sitting opposite of Long. “Hehe”, Long let out a small laugh, “I’m sorry for the trouble, brother Eru.” Eru shook his head; he leaned backwards, “You had no choice, right? It’s fine. But—” Eru bent his body forward, resting his head on his closed hands, “The Dragon Force Technique, you know how to do it too, huh?”

Long slightly tilted his head, his face confused, “Dragon Force Technique, what is that?” he asked. Eru frowned, “The technique you used to transform. It’s the Dragon Force Technique, right?” Long thought for a second before letting out a small chuckle, “Is that what the humans called it?”

“Humans called it? Aren’t you a human too?” Eru asked, raising his eyebrow. Long looked at Eru with a confused face, “What do you mean, human? We’re different, brother Eru. You’re a dragon, no?” he asked. “What? A dragon? No, I’m a human”, Eru replied. Long rubbed his chin, “Hmm, no, you can’t be a human. No human technique could allow them to transform into a dragon”, he informed. Eru opened his mouth, he was about to answer, but he held himself. ‘It can’t be, right? I learned this technique from the system, and even that old fart, the Demon King, acknowledged this technique,’ Eru thought to himself.

“Well, if you want to acknowledge me as a dragon, then so be it. But I know that I’m not a dragon”, Eru shrugged his shoulder. Long let out a slight smile on his face, “No need to be modest, brother Eru. Your parents might’ve hidden the fact that they’re a dragon to protect you. After all, we are a rare breed.” Eru stared at Long, “Rare breed?” he blurted out. “Yes”, Long nodded, “Since dragons are powerful, we have a low expectancy birth rate. And that pesky demonic cult, they liked to pestered us down, that’s why we’re hiding.”

“Demonic Cult?” Eru frowned

“Yes. Judging from your expression, you probably had a run-in with them, right, brother Eru? They’re weak, but they’re so persistent. For 300 years that I’ve been alive, whenever some of them discovered my location, they wouldn’t stop disturbing me all day”, Long said, a little bit pissed. “Wait, wait, wait. Backtrack a bit. 300 years? You’ve been alive for 300 years?” Eru asked, his mouth agape. Long tilted his head, “Yes, I do. The same must be said about you, right, brother Eru? Only dragons above the age of 100 years old could transform to their humanoid form”, he explained.

“R-really?” Eru stuttered, “300 years, eh? Dragon sure does live long.”

Long frowned in confusion, “Then, how old are you, brother Eru? Why do you sound surprised at this?” he asked. Eru sighed, “Like I told you before, I’m not a dragon. Only seventeen years ago, I was born.” This time, it was Long that had his mouth agape, shocked, “Seventeen years old? Don’t joke with me, brother Eru. There’s no way a dragon could do what you could in seventeen years. I’m still a baby in my mother’s arms when I’m seventeen.” Eru clicked his tongue, “Belief what you want, but I’m not a dragon.” Seeing that Long wasn’t going to believe him, Eru shook his head. He sighed while eating the meal in front of him.

After eating his meal, Eru leaned back, but suddenly, the door was burst open. “Come on, you guys. Time for us to move” Ling pushed the door open, her arms wide open. Eru flinched back, he clutched his chest and the drink in his mouth was spilt out, “My goodness me, you startled the living shit out of me.” Ling smirked, “Oh, shut up. Now, get ready boys, we’re going back in there.” Eru shook his head, “Already? You know we’re almost dead over there, right?” Ling smiled, “Yeah, but we don’t. We’re already the talk of the village after surviving the Forest of Death, you know?”

Eru’s eyebrow raised, “Yeah, and?”

“We need to finish the job quickly and get out of here”, Ling said with a hint of urgency. “What do you—”, before Eru was about to finish, the people in the village all crowded the house. All kinds of people watched Eru, Long and Ling like a zoo animal. “Uh, what the hell was this?” Eru asked. “This is what I’m talking about. People are curious about us. I can’t even walk inside the village without somebody stopping me. So, hurry the hell up, you fuckers”, Ling yelled.

“I can’t believe we’re back here again”, Eru said, observing his surroundings. “Yeah, right? After all, we almost die here”, Ling added. Eru’s eyes rolled back; he shook his head, “That’s what I told you before.” Long chuckled, and suddenly, his expression turned serious, “This forest is strange.” Ling sighed, “Duh, that’s why the villagers called it the Forest of Death.” Long shook his head, “No, it’s not that. It has only been three days, but look around you.” Ling was about to retort, but Long immediately interrupted her. “Look around you. Doesn’t it seem strange?”

Eru eyes squinted, “You’re right it is”, he observed the forest with interest. “What? What the hell? What’s strange? I don’t find it.” Eru clicked his tongue, “Looked at the trees, the ground, the entire area. We just fought a big battle three days ago, and look now” Eru pointed his finger, “There’s no sign of battle, no sign of destruction, nothing.” Ling had a look of realization, “Now that you mention it, you’re right”, she paused, the hair on the back of her neck trembles, “Fuck me, that is terrifying.”

“That’s why we must proceed with caution”, Eru warned. Long nodded, “I agree with brother Eru. Besides, the one that I fought yesterday, the Giant Flaming Red Wolf is still alive.” Eru and Ling looked at Long simultaneously, “Who?”

“The Giant Flaming Red Wolf. Did I forget to tell you two about it?” Long pondered. Ling shook her head, “You need to tell us about it sooner. If you did, maybe we could prepare more back in the village”, she said. As soon as Ling finished her words, the trio heard a powerful howl from inside the forest. A flaming pillar was shot up from the direction of the howl. And the silhouette of a wolf can be seen inside it. “Damn it! You had to open your mouth.”
