As soon as Ling finished her words, the trio heard a powerful howl from inside the forest. A flaming pillar was shot up from the direction of the howl. And the silhouette of a wolf can be seen inside it. “You and your big mouth!” Eru exclaimed, “We can’t go on like this; let’s run.” Ling and Long nodded in agreement. The Giant Flaming Red Wolf noticed Eru, Ling and Long. It opened its mouth, fire mana gathered in front of his mouth before a blast of fire was sent towards Eru, Ling and Long. “Fuck, dodge!” Ling screamed, the three of them immediately jumped.
The blast of fire hit the ground; it exploded, sending debris flying everywhere. “Run, run”, Eru yelled. Eru, Long and Ling quickly rushed out from the Forest of Death. “Did we get away?” Ling panted; she looked behind her and only found trees. “I think so”, Long replied, “Good thing that the Giant Flaming Red Wolf did not chase us. If it did….” Eru and Ling turned quiet all of a sudden, thanks to Long’s statement. “However, why did that Giant Red Wolf did not chase us?” Eru pondered, “There must be a reason why it did not chase us, right?”
Ling scoffed, “Fuck the reason. I’m glad we’re not dealing with another monstrous monster again.” Long nodded, “Agreed. Although we are powerful, facing formidable enemies three days in a row would be too much for us”, he said with confidence. “Then, we need an alternative route towards that waterfall”, Eru said, “If what the villagers said are correct, the monster headed towards the waterfall, right? There must be an alternative way towards the waterfall if the villagers know where the monster went.”
Long had a look of realization on his face, “You’re right, as expected from brother Eru. Why didn’t I think of that before?” Ling frowned; she crossed her arms, “Hmm, then let us go back and ask the Village Chief about this.” Eru and Long nodded in agreement.

Taiboku sat in his office; Da Ji was beside him as they enjoyed their alone times together. Suddenly, they heard the knocking on the door. “What is it?” Taiboku asked while his hand was hugging Da Ji. “Reporting to the boss, our plan succeeded. Our planted men had led the adventurers towards the Forest of Origin. And those adventurers reportedly had already killed one of the seven guardian wolves”, a woman voice could be heard from behind the door, reporting the situation to Taiboku. “Good job. Reward the men and immediately pull them back. We don’t want to arouse suspicion from the adventurers guild this time”, Taiboku ordered. “As you command”, the woman bowed before she left with steady steps.
Da Ji stroked Taiboku chin with her long slender fingers, “Your subordinates work fast, my love.” Taiboku let out a proud smile, “Of course. I trained them well, after all.” Da Ji closed her eyes, “The adventurers managed to kill one of the guardian wolves, eh? I did not think that the adventurers of Gale Territory were that powerful”, she wondered. Taiboku nodded, “They are. I think that the guild master had a hand on this. After all, he’s someone that can match Simba, the Fierce Lion blow for blow.”
Da Ji eyes widened in surprise, “What, really? How come we never heard of such a person?” Taiboku caressed Da Ji’s cheek, “The Adventurers Guild never let out that information. Even the one that witnessed their fight can be counted with one hand. I, however, managed to accidentally watch that match.” Da Ji smiled; she touched Taiboku chest gently, “And, what do you think?” Taiboku’s expression turned grave, and his entire body was shivering. “What’s wrong, my love?” Da Ji asked. She had never seen her lover look afraid before.
Taiboku took a deep breath, his expression turned sombre; closing his eyes briefly, he opened his mouth, “Do not provoke them by whatever means necessary.”

Eru, Ling and Long came back to Lan Di Village only to find something was missing inside. “Doesn’t this village has more people before?” Eru asked. “Maybe the guard left”, Ling shrugged, “Never mind that, let’s go visit the Village Chief’s house. We need to move fast, or else.” Together, Eru, Ling and Long all headed towards the Village Chief’s house. However, some villagers recognized the three of them and immediately crowded Eru, Ling and Long. Ling sighed, “This is why we need to hurry up”, she complained.
Eru and Long looked at each other before nodding at the same time. Then, suddenly, both Eru and Long disappeared, leaving Ling in the middle of the crowd. “Wait, what the? Hey, where the hell are you two going? You bastards, just you wait!” Ling yelled in frustration. Eru and Long appeared right outside the village, “You grab the stuff?” Eru asked. Long nodded; he pulled up two cloaks. One was black, and the other one was red. “Here you go” Long handed Eru the black cloak. “Thanks. You grabbed our cloaks in conjunction with our transformed colour?” Eru sighed. “Of course. Identity is important after all”, Long said nonchalantly. Eru shook his head, “Right, let’s go. I sensed something was not right about all of this.”
Long nodded solemnly, “I agree. We’ll need to be careful. I feel sorry for Ling, but us too could deal with pretty much everything that came our way.”

Inside the Village Chief house, Lan Di was standing inside the kitchen, making some tea. He sat down beside the window, leaning back while the Village Chief was kneeling in front of him, with the tea in his hands. “Here you go, master”, the Village Chief said while handing the tea towards Lan Di. Lan Di leisurely get the tea before shooing the Village Chief away by waving his hand. “Ah, life is good”, Lan Di sipped his tea, he relaxed his body. Suddenly, Lan Di heard a knock on the door. “Yo, Village Chief, check it for me, please”, Lan Di ordered.
The Village Chief bowed ninety degrees towards Lan Di, “As you command, master”, he said as he left. Lan Di shook his head, he continued to sip his tea.

Long knock on the Village Chief’s door repeatedly without any answer. “Maybe, he’s not home?” Long asked.” Eru closed his eyes, he sent out his aura, “No, try again. There are two people in the house”, he said. “Okay”, Long trusted Eru and knocked on the door again. Just when his hand was about to hit the door, the door opened up suddenly, revealing the full figure of the Village Chief. “Yes, can I help you two?” the Village Chief asked. “Can we come in?” Eru asked.
The Village Chief shook his head, “Let us talk anywhere else. There’s somebody sick in there”, he said. “Really? Can I take a look?” Long suggested, “I’m pretty good with medicine and healing arts.” The Village Chief squinted his eyes, “No, thank you. He’ll be fine on his own. So, to what do I owe this pleasure?” The Village Chief asked. “We wanted to ask, how did you know where the monster was going? Based on our experience, the Forest of Death is not easy to traverse”, Long asked. “Our hunter got lucky, that’s all? Go leave now”, the Village Chief waved his hand.
That gesture aroused suspicion on Eru and Long. “What? Why are you staring at me like that?” the Village Chief frowned. Eru and Long stared at the Village Chief, “Stop lying to us, Village Chief. There’s no way that the hunter could know where the creature went. Did you think we did not know the forest returned to the way it was after a while? Your story about the hunter did not make sense.” The Village Chief squinted his eyes. He observed Eru and Long for a while before hurriedly slamming the door. “I knew it; there’s something wrong with this”, Eru said, “I’ll break this door.” Eru put his palm on the door, channelling his aura to his hand; he blasted the door open.

“Hah, hah, hah”, the Village Chief hurriedly headed to the kitchen. “What’s wrong, Village Chief?” Lan Di asked. “This is bad master; we were found out!” the Village Chief informed. Lan Di spilt his tea on the floor, “What!? Who? Is that adventurers, isn’t it? Damn it!” Lan Di clicked his tongue. “We need to get out—” before Lan Di managed to finish his sentence, they heard an explosion. “Fuck! They’re already here. Prepare for battle”, Lan Di barked as he and the Village Chief left the kitchen.

“Be careful, brother Eru. My nose smelled something unpleasant as soon as I entered this house”, warned Long. “Un”, Eru nodded, “Brandished your weapon and don’t let your guard down” Eru stood back to back with Long as they proceeded into the Village Chief house. They combed the place up and down, and eventually, they found a basement.
Eru and Long entered the basement, and they found that the basement was quite big. “Welcome, two adventurers, to your death!”
