Taiboku sat inside of his office, accompanied by Da Ji on his lap. Taiboku had his hand clenched as blood dripped from his palm. “What’s wrong, honey? It’s not like you to be this angry”, Da Ji asked gently. Usually, Da Ji’s voice and presence could somewhat calm down Taiboku, but this time, Taiboku was still angry, although he swallowed his anger back down. Taiboku took a deep breath, “I’m sorry, my love. It’s just that my usually competent subordinates suddenly became incompetent”, Taiboku said to Da Ji.
“Do you want me to take care of them?” Da Ji squinted, her eyes full of killing intent. Taiboku let out a small smile, “No need. I understand them, though, as their adversary is someone that could even make me sweat.” Da Ji’s eyes widened, “There is such a man?” she inquired. Taiboku nodded sombrely, “Yes. Someone that my ancestors managed to seal long ago to take the Dark Heavens. The original master of the Dark Heavens, one of the strongest figures in history. If he was at his full power now, I reckon he would be able to win against The Fierce Lion.”
Da Ji gasped, “Who is he?” her voice low. “The people back then called him the Dark Crow, Li Qiye”, Taiboku said sombrely.

Eru woke up with sweat all over his body. “Hah, hah, hah”, he panted hard while clutching his chest, “It’s been three days already, and nothing happened. Why am I experiencing those nightmares again?” Eru wiped his face with a towel before going to the shower. He washed his entire body, wore his clothes and proceeded to pack his bag. “Hah”, Eru let out a sigh, “To think that this was going to be the last day I’m staying here”, Eru mumbled as he left the room with all of his belongings.
Outside, Eru met Little Yu, cleaning the inn with a broom twice her size. “Good morning, Little Yu”, Eru greeted. “Good morning, Cust—” Little Yu was about to greet back, but then she saw a backpack strapped on Eru. “Y-you’re leaving already, Customer?” Little Yu asked, stuttering and looking a little bit sad as her eyes became moist. Eru approached Little Yu and patted her head as usual, “Yeah. But don’t look so sad, Little Yu. Maybe in the future, I’ll visit again. After all, the food in this inn is delicious, and the waitress is cute as well”, Eru said with a big smile.
Little Yu’s tearful expression turned glee, and her mouth curled upwards, “Ehehe! Then, would you like the usual, Customer?” Eru nodded, “Sure. But please, don’t keep calling me Customer. I have a name too, you know.” Little Yu giggled, “Okay, brother Eru!”

“Here you go”, Ling handed Eru his Adventurers Handbook. Eru flipped said handbook and found the Gale insignia besides the Great Aelolus insignia inside the handbook. “Thank you very much”, Eru closed the handbook before putting it back inside his backpack, “Any suggestion on where I should go next?” Ling pondered while rubbing her chin, “Maybe you should go south towards Sylphid Coast? Sylphid City is quite beautiful from what I could tell you. Follow the road towards the Four Great Lanes, then go south when there’s a sign”, she suggested.
Eru nodded, “Thanks”, he slightly bowed towards Ling before leaving the Adventurers Guild’s building. But, before he did, Ling stopped Eru for a second, “Next time you visit, I don’t mind continuing from where we were off last time”, she winked. Eru grumbled, “Fuck you”, he said as he proceeded to leave the building. Once Eru left, however, Ling’s expression turned sombre. Gu appeared behind Ling, “So, what now?” he asked. Ling squinted her eyes, “We hunt! We shall not allow the Dark Heavens to exist!”

Before leaving Tailwind City, Eru met with Captain An Lin to say goodbye. Captain An Lin gave Eru a blue crystal pendant, “This symbolizes our friendship”, An Lin said when he gave Eru the pendant. Eru gripped the pendant tightly before wearing it on his neck, “Thank you. I hope we meet again in the future”, Eru said, then he proceeded to leave Tailwind City. When Eru stepped out from Tailwind City’s gate, a long, red-haired scholarly youth awaited him. “You”, Eru’s mouth opened. “Hello, brother Eru. Long time no see”, Long greeted.
“Did you come to say goodbye?” Eru inquired. Long shook his head, “No. I’ve come to accompany you”, he said with a smile.
“What for?” Eru frowned. “No reason, I just want to follow a fellow dragon, that’s all”, Long said. Eru shook his head, “No, don’t follow me”, Eru refused. Long chuckled, “Even if you refuse, I will still follow you”, he let out a small smile. Eru sighed, “Fine, but don’t disturb me.”

Eru backtracked his way towards the Four Great Lanes with Long accompanying him. When Eru arrived at the giant road, Eru heard a notification from the system.

Suddenly, Eru stopped moving as electricity jolted from inside his body. Noticing this, Long had a worried look on his face, “What’s wrong, brother Eru?” he asked in concern. Eru was about to speak, but his mouth won’t open. Long checked Eru’s pulse, and after finding Eru was okay, he tried to cast a healing spell to no effort. “Hold on, brother Eru. Looks like we’re camping out in the wilderness”, Long said as he laid Eru down beside the big road. Long set up camp using the necessary stuff from within Eru and his own backpack. He lit out a campfire and put Eru inside the tent.
Long hunted a few rabbits to grill in the campfire. Then, Long ground the rabbit meat and some water into a semi-liquid state, boiling it before giving it to Eru. Eru looked at Long as the latter tried feeding him. “Hmm, hmm, hmm!” Eru struggled, but no words were coming out of his mouth. “What’s that? You’re so hungry you can’t wait to taste this?” Long interpreted Eru’s mumble as he forcefully opened Eru mouth. “Eat up!” Long said as he proceeded to feed Eru directly with a spoon.

Eru woke up in the morning feeling sore all over his body. Upon remembering what happened yesterday, Eru’s body shivered, “I never wanted to be paralyzed again in my life”, he solemnly swore. “Good morning, brother Eru” Long greeted Eru with a smile while carrying firewoods. “Urgh”, Eru groaned, “Thanks for taking care of me yesterday.” Long smiled, “It’s nothing. Why did you suddenly stop moving yesterday?” he asked. Eru sighed, “I prefer not to talk about it”, he shuddered. Long shrugged his shoulders, “Oh, okay”, he paused. Long continued, “So, where are we going?” he asked.
“Hmm? I did not tell you yesterday?”
Long shook his head, “No.” Eru rubbed his chin, “I’m heading to Sylphid Coast, Sylphid City. Captain An Lin said that following the Four Great Lane is the safest and fastest.” Long nodded. Then, Eru helped Long dismantle the tent and the campfire before proceeding onwards. Eru eventually arrived at a crossroads where if he went to the right, he would find the inn inside the mountains. “Brother Eru, do you want to eat lunch at the inn?” Long asked upon noticing Eru looking to his right.
“You ever been there before?” Eru asked. Long nodded, “Yes, I do. I got into a fight with someone in that inn not too long ago.” Eru squinted, “Is that so? Sure, We can get lunch there.” After that, Eru and Long ascended the road until the pavement ended. The local road led right at the inn as both Eru and Long arrived right when the sun was about to go down. “We came here for lunch, but we’re going to end up staying here, aren’t we?” Eru let out a sigh. Long chuckled, “Well, what can we do?”
Eru and Long entered the inn, being greeted by a girl wearing a long red dress with her hair tied down in a ponytail. “Welcome”, she greeted by bowing ninety degrees. Eru observed the inn and found that the layout of the inn greatly resembled Olga’s Peace and Quiet Inn. The girl scrutinized Eru and Long for a while, then she gasped, “Oh, it’s you again”, the girl said while smiling. “Hello once again, miss Mei”, Eru greeted with a smile. “Hello”, Long followed Eru, greeting Mei with a slight bow. “Table for two?” Mei asked. Eru nodded, “My previous order and two rooms as well.” Mei nodded; she led Eru and Long towards their table, “Coming right up!” she headed towards the kitchen, “Dad, four dumplings and two noodle soups”, Mei said. Eru sighed, “You really want to accompany me towards Sylphid Coast?” Long nodded, “Yes. What else could I do in Gale?”
“Don’t you want to change the people mindset?”
Long smiled slightly, “It turns out their governor had his own plan. I don’t even have to do anything.” Eru squinted, “What do you mean?” Long’s smile became even wider, “You’ll know in due time, brother Eru.”
